8 Rare Features Only Unique People Have

08:53
People with golden blood, super-vision, and no fingerprints... They sound like characters from the latest superhero movie, right? Plot twist: they are as real as you and me! People with unique your physical features exist in real life even though it’s hard to believe some of the superpowers they have are real. This video will prove how amazing humans are and how much we have yet to discover about ourselves and our bodies. TIMESTAMPS Heterochromia 0:42 Photic sneeze reflex 1:37 Unbreakable bones 2:39 Neck ribs 3:33 Double lash line 4:14 Adermatoglyphia 5:02 Golden blood 6:02 Seeing invisible colors 7:20 #humanbody #humanbones #humaneye Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music SUMMARY -Only 6 out of every 1,000 people have heterochromia, or, simply put, eyes of different colors. -People with the photic sneeze reflex sneeze in response to bright lights. This condition affects around 18%–35% of people in the US alone and one in every 4 people in general. -An interesting genetic mutation called LRP5 is strongly connected to the gene that regulates the production and release of protein, which, in turn, plays a crucial role in bone density and makes them unbreakable. -One in about 500 people in the whole world has a cervical rib that arises from the 7th cervical vertebrae (more simply, your neck). -A condition called distichiasis means you have not one lash line but 2. From a scientific perspective, it happens because of a transcription error on a person's 16th chromosome and is basically a genetic mutation. -Only 4 extended families in the whole world have adermatoglyphia, or no fingerprints. -Golden bloos is called Rhnull, and it's the rarest one on the planet. It has been reported that only 43 people in the whole world have it. -The ability to see invisible colors is called tetrachromacy or tetrachromatic vision, and only 25% of people have it. 10 Body Features Only 5% of People Have

11:06
All people in the world are different, and every one is unique. And yet some of us have rare features that occur in only a few percents of humans. Do you know anybody whose bones are harder than concrete? We are going to tell you about the most unusual and mind-blowing characteristics only a few people have. Some are just nice physical features, but there are those Superman himself would envy! TIMESTAMPS Incredibly dense bones 1:02 "Golden" blood 2:01 Long palmar muscle 2:50 Genetic chimerism 3:40 Double lash line 5:00 A hole near the ear 5:45 Additional ribs 6:29 Ability to perceive "invisible" colors 7:21 Small need for sleep 8:37 The impossibility of cholesterol growth 9:40 SUMMARY - Studying the gene LRP5 (responsible for the mineralization of bones), scientists discovered mutations which cause diseases accompanied by bone fragility. Yet there is another type of LRP5 mutation: it gives a person super dense bones that are almost impossible to break and skin that is less prone to aging. Such bones are several times tougher than those of an average person. - On the surface of every red blood cell, people typically have about 342 antigens, 160 of which can be found in almost everybody. If a person has a lack of at least one of these antigens, their blood is rare. - A recent study has shown that 16 percent of people don't have this thin tendon. It is too weak to affect your grip, and even if it is cut, it won't make any visible changes. - Human chimerism is an additional set of DNA. Sometimes it appears in the form of "mosaic" skin or heterochromia, but most often it remains unnoticed. - Distichiasis usually doesn't bring any inconvenience. People with this unusual feature may have just several sparse hairs growing on one lid or full lines of lashes doubling the ones everybody has. - A hole near the ear is a congenital auricular fistula, formed during fetal development, occurring in about 5% of people. In fact, in the USA less than 1 percent of people have them, in Asia and some parts of Africa this figure is higher - from 5 to 10 percent. - Every adult out of 500 individuals has an extra rib. While all the other people have two dozens, these "lucky" ones can have 25 or even 26 ribs in their body. "Excessive" ribs are more often found in women. - With a dandelion, we describe its color as yellow. A tetrachromatic person will see a whole range of shades. This condition is caused by the mutations in the X chromosome. This difference allows people to see up to 99 million colors, while an ordinary person perceives not more than 1 million. - The DEC2 gene is a small mutation found in low-sleep people. Scientists from the University of California concluded that people with the DEC2 mutation could perform all the same tasks in less time. Can you imagine, having just 4 hours of sleep daily, you will get 60 days of free time a year! - There's a tiny group of lucky people who can eat almost anything without worrying about cholesterol. Their risk of developing heart disease is reduced by as much as 90%. While an average American is straining to reach a perfect result of fewer than 100 milligrams of "bad cholesterol" per deciliter of blood, people with this mutation have about 15! 11 Signs Your Body Is 100% Unique

07:37
We’re going to tell you about exceptional physical skills and characteristics found in only a tiny percentage of people around the world (by the way, the rarest one is the first one). Each person has character traits, peculiar only to him or herself. Aspects of the psyche that are — if present in others at all — extremely rare. But did you know that our bodies can possess many unique features too?! TIMESTAMPS You have a flexible tongue 0:39 22% of people are capable of wiggling one ear 1:35 You can wiggle individual toes 2:06 Darwin’s tubercle 2:48 Diastema 3:23 You can raise one eyebrow 3:45 Dimples on the cheeks 4:16 Holes above the ears 4:54 Hitchhiker’s thumb 5:34 Missing tendon 6:05 You can touch your elbow with your tongue 6:40 SUMMARY - Researchers even went as far as to conduct a special study on the subject. 63% of the test participants managed to fold their tongue into a roll, 14% managed to bend it in half, and less than 1% were able to shape their tongue into a triple pipe. - Approximately 22% of people on the planet are capable of wiggling one ear, while no more than 18% can do it with both ears. But this was not always so: our distant ancestors used to be true virtuosos at making all sorts of movements with these body parts. - No matter how you try, you won’t be able to wiggle each of your toes in turn. That’s because only the big toe and the little toe are fitted with individual muscles, while the rest are controlled en masse by just one set of muscles. - The protruding segment on the inside or outside of the ear is called Darwin’s tubercle. The famous scientist once suggested that this feature was the consequence of the fact that early people’s ears used to be pointy. - Diastema is a gap between the front teeth, occurring in about 20% of humans. From the viewpoint of dentists, it’s an anomaly that requires medical intervention. - Scientists believe that early humans were able to wiggle their eyebrows separately — the way certain present-day species of monkeys do at the sight of danger. - Possessed by approximately 25% of the world’s population, dimples are a defect in the structure of the zygomatic muscle, which is responsible for smiling. In people with this physiological feature, a small bundle of the muscle gets attached to the bone. - Approximately 5% of people on the planet are born with a small hole above one or both ears. Interestingly, in the USA, such people constitute less than 1% of the population, while in Asia this distinction is diagnosed in approximately 10% of newborns. - Hitchhiker’s thumb is a physiological phenomenon in which the upper phalanx of the thumb can bend 90 degrees in the direction opposite to the palm. This hyperextensibility is caused by the presence of a special gene, known as the "bendy thumb gene." And such a feature is inherited and occurs in about 25% of people. - Gather all the fingers of one hand together, and tense your wrist. If the tendon on the inner side of the wrist doesn’t become visible, you must be one of the 14% of people who don’t have the long palmar muscle. - It is believed that no more than 1% of people in the world have this ability. To perform the trick, you need to have a particularly short forearm and a long tongue. #humanbody Subscribe to Bright Side : https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brightside/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/brightgram/ 5-Minute Crafts Youtube: https://www.goo.gl/8JVmuC  ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

Women With BODY FEATURES You Won't Believe Are Real

11:15
Only 1% of people have these amazing body features! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Flipping through the pages of most fashion magazines, you may start to think that all women look pretty similar to one another. But in the real world, there are many women out there with features that make them stand out from the crowd. In this video, we will show you ten women with incredible features that make them totally unique. If your favorite Disney princess is Rapunzel, wait until you see Alia Nasyrova’s amazingly long locks. Tanesha Brown has a condition known as vitiligo, which means that her skin appears patchy. After years of hiding it under makeup, she’s come to embrace what makes her unique, and encourages others to do the same. Marimar Quiroa does not let her facial tumor stop her from being a successful makeup vlogger, and has finally given up trying to alter her appearance surgically. Some women won’t date men shorter than them, but if Elisany da Cruz Silva kept to that criteria, she might not ever find love! Chase Kennedy is another incredibly tall woman, and she claims that she has the longest legs in the entire world. Rose Geil spent years trying to shave off her enormous amount of facial hair before putting down her razor and letting her natural beard grow in. When she was born, the parents of Sari Rezita Ariyanti didn’t realize there was anything unusual about her. But eventually, they realized that she would never grow any larger, and despite being in her 20s still looks like a toddler. 10 Unique Animals You Won’t Believe Exist

09:42
10 strange and amazing animals that you have probably never heard of. Nature is truly full of surprises! We live in the twenty-first century, and all continents have already been discovered, all secrets of our planet revealed, all mountain peaks conquered. Just when you think you have seen it all, some new bizarre creature makes an appearance instantly restoring your faith in the impossible! TIMESTAMPS Mangalitsa Pig, a.k.a. “a pig in sheep’s clothing” 0:50 Rhinopithecus or golden snub-nosed monkey 1:33 Emperor tamarin 2:13 Patagonian Mara 3:04 Fluffy cow 3:52 Markhor Goat 4:44 Raccoon dog 5:23 Blue Footed Booby 6:25 Malayan Colugo 7:13 Venezuelan Poodle Moth 8:09 BONUS 8:56 SUMMARY - The birthplace of this curly-haired pig is Hungary where it was discovered in the mid-19th century. Due to the fleece covering this animal, it resembles a sheep, therefore, such a name! - The name of this species is roxellana, and there is a story behind it. It is believed that they were called this way after the supposedly snub-nosed courtesan of Suleiman the Magnificent (a 16th century Sultan of the Ottoman Empire). - They were called like this because of the resemblance of their mustache to that of German Emperor Wilhelm II. - Patagonia Mara is the fourth largest rodent on our planet. There are several interesting facts about them. Females often put offsprings into crèches for safety. - Fluffy cows are looked after by people whose work is to wash, dry and use products to style these animals, so they look as fluffy as they do! It is necessary to maintain them daily, and it will take months of regular grooming until they get this lovely look of kids toys. - If you see a creature which looks as if it’s trying to catch an alien radio signal from space, it’s most likely Markhor Goat. They can grow as long as 6 ft from head to tail! - If you can’t decide if you want to have a dog or a raccoon as a pet, we have just the thing for you - raccoon dog! Despite having raccoon-like markings on their fur, they are not very closely related to the North American raccoon. - Blue Footed Booby are to catch your eye if you ever visit the Galapagos Islands. They can look a bit clumsy and comical on land, but they are excellent at flying and swimming. - Colugo has a large gliding membrane (like a flying squirrel), and they can glide for long distances between trees standing far apart. - Even if the Poodle Moth may look as if it lives in Antarctica with all this fur, in fact, it comes from Venezuela, a tropical country. Its hairs don’t serve for heating. BONUS Cloud Antelope! This species lives in the clouds (that’s why such a name)! Its bright blue fur is the reflection of cloudless blue skies in the area of its habitat. Its diet consists of sun rays and candies... Most 80s & 90s Movies Feature This Unusual Trope

02:19
Most ‘80s and ‘90s films feature a scene where a character goes down a slide of some kind. Some directors, like Ron Howard of Willow make it a kinetic, wild ride for the audience as well. Other directors, like Robert Altman of Popeye, keep their distance and do not try to implicate the viewer in the adrenalin rush of the slider. This trope gives the feeling of being on a rollercoaster more so than a movie scene. It is clearly intended to elicit a moving sensation for the person watching. We offer a hypothesis as to why this trend existed.

13 Unusual Facts About Females That Are Totally True

09:48
What do we know about women and girls? All of those books on how to understand women have nothing about the biological and social facts of the fairer side of humanity. Bright Side looked far and wide to find some pretty awesome and controversial facts about ladies — and here is what we got. TIMESTAMPS Women see more colors. 0:50 The female body has a lower resistance to alcohol. 1:20 Maturity is attractive. 2:04 The average woman will eat 4 lb of lipstick in her lifetime. 2:34 They hate taking risks. 3:07 They might make their men fat. 3:34 Style over comfort. 4:00 A heightened sense of smell. 4:23 The brain cells are packed more densely in the female brain. 4:41 They are the unsung heroes of inventions. 5:41 Heels were for men. 7:36 Women can read faces. 7:57 Long live women! 8:45 SUMMARY - Women seeing on average 20% more differences in colors and shapes. - Alcohol is even more dangerous for women as they are more prone to liver disease like hepatitis (an inflammation of the liver) and are more likely to die from liver cirrhosis (a chronic disease). - Various studies have shown that a woman is more attractive the more fertile she looks, so women who have given birth, grown into a very feminine body, or do not use birth control are way more attractive to men. - It comes down to women licking off or eating with food about 4 lb of lipstick in their life. That translates to 533.76 lipsticks. - The anterior cingulate cortex, the part of the brain that weighs options when making a decision, is larger in women than in men. - A lot of men in long-term relationships are getting bigger, and that might be the doing of their women. They go into a “taking care” mode that results in feeding their partner excessively (with the intention of having a strong “warrior” by their side). - Society and media have been pressing women for centuries to hold themselves to a certain standard. - The heightened sense of smell helped our ancestors to survive and, as women were mainly gatherers, helped them to pick the right foods for the family. - The female brain is 9% smaller than its male counterpart. - Women over the years have patented: disposable diapers, paper bags, nonreflective glass, the foot-pedal trash can, the dishwasher, and many other innovations. - Heels were brought into women’s fashion to mimic the men who wore heels as a sign of their masculinity and status. - Women are better at reading faces, gestures, and voice tones, which makes them superior conversationalists and social leaders. - Sometimes the life duration differences between men and women can be up to a decade, but on average it is at least 2–3 years all over the world. Even with all that we know about fair ladies, there’s still a ton of mysteries to be unraveled. Which ones are your favorite? 10 REAL Kids Who Were Born Creatures

07:25
Top 10 real kids who don't look like your average child! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg If we go with the school of thought that all kids are beautiful, then we should be able to accept kids no matter what they look like. However, because society is so flawed, that will likely never be the case. In a world where stupid people get famous, and people are ridiculed for the color of their skin, it can be terrifying to live in this world. There’s a reason why the meme, “I don’t want to live on this planet anymore,” has become so popular. Society as a whole doesn’t know what to do about people who are different and don’t fit into the cookie cutter world of expectations. But also, we have evolved to a place where we will place people on pedestals, all because they were different in some way. People are finding their 15 minutes of fame because they were born with a medical condition, or things have happened to them that’s beyond their control. Luckily, this is also opening up the doors of acceptance and embracing all types of people regardless of their background. In this video, you will meet ten real kids who look like creatures. From looking like animals to looking like aliens, these kids had to adjust to a different kind of living. From a young age, they had to adjust to getting stared at, getting interviewed, and even becoming a target for bullying and assault. This is because even though we’re more accepting, there will always be a group of people who feel like they have to bully and make other people’s lives miserable. 10 Most Expensive Celeb Transformations https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9PsdlrQgAg 10 REAL Kids Who Are One in A Million https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LEmLlfKLQ8 Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheRichest.org Twitter: https://twitter.com/TheRichest_Com Instagram: http://instagram.com/therichest For more videos and articles visit: http://www.therichest.com/ For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected]

If You Have Moles on One of These Places, It Has Surprising Meaning

09:10
What do your moles mean and say about your personality? Bright Side has done some research for you to explain the meaning of moles on different parts of your body.  An average human has between 10 and 40 of them. Some people see them as blemishes, but for most, they are “beauty marks.” Yes, we are talking about moles. Do you have at least one of those? #molemeaning #molepersonality #moles TIMESTAMPS Temples 0:32 Between the eyebrows 1:19 Between the eye and the eyebrow 2:05 Upper Lip 2:25 Cheekbone 2:52 Chin 3:46 Ear 4:09 Neck 4:33 Back 5:06 Arms 5:26 The palm of your hand 5:52 Feet 6:32 The shape of your moles 7:31 Color of your moles 8:02 SUMMARY If you have twin moles on your sole or any other part of your body, it means you are a complicated dual personality. You like to question things and to look at your options. You will think twice before taking any decisions. It is not only the location of moles but also their shape and color that matter. If you have round moles, you prefer keeping things calm and peaceful. You are sweet and good to others and like to look for compromise. Oblong moles promise their owner some a good fortune in the future. You will make it yourself, so it promises some hard work involved, too. Christine & Léa Papin grew up in Le Mans, France. After a tragic upbringing, things appeared to be going in the right direction for them; they had a good job as head servant/cook & chambermaid in a the house of a wealthy middle class family. By all accounts, they were fed & treated well & had a comfortable heated room on the third floor of the large house of Monsieur Lancelin & his family. Then one day, the girls snapped...leaving a horific trail in their wake. No one could quite believe that these two kind & demure young women, could be capable of such shocking & grisly murders. 08:26
15 WhatsApp Secret Features You Probably Didn’t Know About. Did you know how to find out the exact time someone read your message? Watch the video and learn all these amazing WhatsApp hacks! It's no wonder that in recent years WhatsApp became a huge part of our lives – it's convenient, quick and easy to use. Pretty much everyone has a large WhatsApp contact list and spend hours each day to catch up with their families, friends or plan some events! TIMESTAMPS How to change the font on WhatsApp 0:35 How to change font style on WhatsApp 1:04 Most popular contacts on WhatsApp 1:36 Muting group chats 2:03 How to make personal information private 2:33 Stop auto-saving 3:07 How to add dates to the calendar 3:35 Add a chat link to your home screen 4:01 How to send a message using Siri 4:28 Back your chat messages 4:53 Send a giant beating heart 5:27 Star the messages 5:49 How to secretly read messages 6:20 How to disable previews 7:03 Find out the exact time someone has read your text 7:33 SUMMARY - Just simply put this ` symbol three times before and after your text message! Like this, ` ` ` Hello!` ` `. - For bold messages, you have to put asterisks before and after your message (*Hello!*). You can send italics messages by adding underscores (_Hello!_). And your message can also be transformed to strikethrough by using tildes (~Hello!~). Plus, you can combine these styles by putting two or even all three symbols together (_~*Hello!*~_). - This works only on iOS devices. You can do that by heading to Settings and then picking Account and Storage Usage. You'll see the list of all your WhatsApp contacts and groups as well as the total number of messages you've sent and received for each one of them! - If there is some group chat or a person that's constantly bothering you with endless messages, you can simply mute it. Just pick the chat, click on its name or the name of the contact on top of the screen and select mute. You'll have an option to mute it for 8 hours, a week or even a year! - Go to Settings, then click Account and select Privacy. Here you can control what users will see your profile picture, status and last time you were seen on WhatsApp. - If you're sick and tired of constantly deleting unnecessary photos that your contacts message you, you can turn the auto-saving off. Again, go to Settings, then select Chats and turn off Save Incoming Media. - If you type a certain date in your message, it will appear as a hyperlink. If you tap on it, you'll be given an option to create an event in your calendar. So you can simply plan some adventures with your friends, work meetings or any other important events right from your WhatsApp. - If you're texting somebody pretty much all day or have a favorite chat that you need quick access to, you can easily add a link to it to your home screen. This works for Android devices. All you need to do is tap and hold on a chat and then click on three vertical dots on the top right of your screen and choose Add Conversation Shortcut. - Just say “Hey, Siri, send a WhatsApp to” and name the contact needed. - If you like to read old messages and get nostalgic from time to time, you can always back your history up on iCloud (for iPhone users) or Google Drive (for Android). If you have an iPhone and you want to back up a certain chat, just click on its name, then on the name of the contact and you'll see an option E-mail conversation. - If you want to express your feelings for someone in a whole other dimension, just send a red heart alone without any other emojis or words. You may think it's nothing much, but amazingly enough, it turns into a big beating heart. - For iOS users, there is a simple solution. Just double tap on a message and select the star icon. - When you receive a message don't open it right away and dismiss all the notifications. Then, set your phone on airline mode that will turn your Wi-Fi or Internet connection off. After that just open your app and read the text. - . WhatsApp thought about that and allowed its users to disable those little previews. To do so, you have to go to Settings, click Notifications and there you'll see the option Disable Show Preview. - Hold on any of your messages you're interested in and choose Info. There you'll see the time your message was sent and also the time it was read. Which one of these features did you like the most? Did you know about some of them? 10 Rare Diseases That Turn People Into Superheroes

12:38
People tend to associate an illness with something unpleasant and often dangerous, and they have their reasons to think so. But there are some diseases which, unlike a common cold, look like superpowers. At least at first sight. In this video, you will get acquainted with some of them. These rare diseases not only leave scientists confused but also make their carriers similar to superheroes! Have you caught a cold? Oh, how unlucky! All these nasty symptoms again: a runny nose, non-stop coughing, and also, it hurts to eat! But you know what? Quit nagging! Your illness will pass in (about) a week. But imagine the life of those who suffer from chronic diseases! TIMESTAMPS Super memory 1:06 Insensibility to pain 2:28 Abilities to literally anything 3:47 Insensitivity to cold 5:01 The complete absence of fear 5:58 The Vampire disorder 7:03 Octopus people 8:38 Stone Man Syndrome 9:38 Werewolf Syndrome 10:20 Foreign accent syndrome 11:21 SUMMARY - This condition is called hyperthymesia - a disruption of memory which causes a person to remember all the events of their life down to every last detail. There are just about 60 people in the world who have been diagnosed with such a unique disease. - In-born analgesia - that's a scientific name of the condition when a person doesn't feel pain. Like, at all. There is a surprising fact to think about: despite the rareness of this disease, as many as 40 cases of it have been registered in one of the villages in Sweden. - Savant syndrome is a rare condition which might be typical for people with developmental disorders, such as autism or Asperger's syndrome. Patients with such condition are extremely talented in music, drawing and painting, calculations, cartography, and constructing 3D models. - Besides people who don't react to pain, there are those who are indifferent to cold. A vivid example is Wim Hof - a man from the Netherlands who brought doctors to their wit's end. The thing is Wim is able to stand very low temperatures. He managed to spend 120 minutes in a pipe with freezing water and ice, has climbed to the top of Mont Blanc wearing shorts (and his pen), and even swims under the ice of frozen lakes and rivers. - Urbach-Wiethe disease is a rare genetic disorder which leads to the complete lack of fear. Only 300 cases are known, and a quarter of them have been registered in South Africa. - Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia. People suffering from this condition frequently have eerily pointed teeth, therefore, looking similar to the legendary blood-feeding creatures from horror films. People with more prominent symptoms of this illness are extremely thin and pale; their eyes are outlined with dark circles. - Polymelia is a strange disorder. People suffering from it are born with an unusual number of limbs. In some cases, these limbs are pretty useful, in others they are non-functioning. - This syndrome is genetic, what is more, it progresses throughout life. People with such a disease have the soft tissues of their bodies turning into bone. The mutation of the ACVR1 gene responsible for the development of different tissues of the human body leads to terrible consequences. - The hair growth of such people is abnormal. All their bodies are covered with thick hair, it grows, long and lush, even on their faces. The reason for this condition which has gained the nickname "werewolf syndrome" is most likely to be the genetic mutation. - Foreign accent syndrome. The most common reason for this condition is a head injury or a stroke. The person with this condition changes the way they place their tongue during speaking. The most effective treatment, in this case, is the speech therapy. Which disease have you found the most shocking? Have you ever met anybody with the conditions described in the video? 13 Unbelievable Coincidences That Will Leave You Confused

09:17
Do you believe that people can foresee the future? Is time travel possible? Do you know that there are many things that cannot be explained? Life sometimes brings us strange surprises that are impossible to explain. We at Bright Side never cease to be amazed by the coincidences that occur in this world which demonstrate just how unpredictable and mysterious it is. We've prepared a few bright examples from the history that will prove that time travel exists. Also, we have prepared a bonus for you. It will make you believe that there is something out there in the universe that we don’t know about yet. Stay with us and dive into the world of the unexplained. TIMESTAMPS Is time travel possible? 0:55 A premonition of the Titanic 1:33 Neighbors living in different centuries 2:15 The Tragedy on the Hoover Dam 2:55 The cars that found each other 3:34 Coincidences in the biographies of Lincoln and Kennedy 4:22 The first and last soldiers 5:14 Rumors of Edgar Allan Poe’s time machine 5:42 Unlucky brothers 6:23 Anthony Hopkins and a rare book 6:58 A special name for the Roman Empire 7:33 Donald Trump’s election victory in The Simpsons 8:08 Bonus: Almost like reincarnation 8:37 SUMMARY - Jennifer Lawrence is not only the spitting image of a silver age Egyptian actress Zubaida Tharwat, but also they have similarities in their careers and lives. - 14 years before the sinking of the Titanic, fantasy writer Morgan Robertson wrote the novella Futility, which told the story of a ship that was sunk — and which bore the name The Titan. - The famous composer George Handel was a neighbor of a famous guitarist Jimi Hendrix — admittedly, they were separated by two centuries. They were both incredible musicians. - The Hoover dam, located in the USA, is believed to be one of the most mysterious in the world. Over than 100 workers died while constructing it. - In 1895, in the state of Ohio, two cars collided. During this period, automobile production was only just beginning to take off, and there were only these two cars in all of Ohio. - A multitude of strange coincidences exists in the biographies of two American presidents: Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy. - The British Army during World War 1 lost about 673,375 soldiers that were declared to be dead and missing. The graves of the first and last British soldiers killed in this war are located 6 m from each other. - In the book The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket, written by Edgar Allan Poe, we learn the story of four sailors who survived the sinking of their ship. 46 years after the book was written, an actual boat did sink. - In July 1975, Erskine Lawrence Ebbin was hit by a taxi. Almost a year before, Erskine’s brother — who was also 17 — was killed. He was riding the same moped, and he was killed by a taxi as well. Behind the wheel was the same driver. - Anthony Hopkins urgently needed to get hold of a book so that he could study for a role he was starring in: The Girl from Petrovka, written by George Feifer. - One of the most powerful empires of the ancient world began and ended with the name "Romulus." - The creators of The Simpsons made an episode in the year 2000, which made a joke about Donald Trump becoming the president of the United States. Could they ever have guessed that one day it would become true? BONUS Enzo Ferrari, who founded the Ferrari Company, died in 1988. About a month later, the footballer Mesut Özil was born. Looking at their portraits, you could be forgiven for thinking they are twin brothers. Is this a case of reincarnation? 32 Creative World Flags Made by True Geniuses

10:02
What are the world's most interesting flags? Just like a person’s style can say a lot about them, flags can tell you so much about the country, region, or state they represent. There are 197 recognized countries in the world and each of them has its national flag. Bright Side has carefully studied the flags from all over the world and found many interesting coincidences as well as unusual and entertaining facts that we didn’t even suspect. Most flags are rectangles, but what about the few that aren’t? And what do all those colors and symbols really mean? We’re about to answer those questions and a whole lot more. Today, we’re gonna focus on 32 countries with the most creative national flags! The majority of world flags, 55 to be exact, are horizontal and feature three tricolor stripes in their design. Red, white, and blue, as I’m sure you’ve noticed, are the most popular colors; at least one of them is pretty much always present on a country’s flag. The flags of the world are just as diverse as its people. TIMESTAMPS: Switzerland 1:01 Jamaica 1:51 The Bahamas 2:35 Denmark 3:00 Republic of Seychelles 3:19 The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland 4:12 The Philippines 4:37 Paraguay 4:57 Portugal 5:34 Mozambique 6:03 Brazil 6:21 Qatar 7:10 Indonesia 7:26 Romania 7:52 Mauritius 8:11 #worldflags #traveling #flagcolors Music by Epidemic Sound https://www.epidemicsound.com/ SUMMARY: - The Nepalese flag is shaped with two triangles rather than the traditional rectangle. These triangles represent the two peaks of Mount Everest, which sits on Nepal’s border. - Vatican City’s flag, also known as the flag of the Holy See, is modeled after the flag of the earlier Papal States and includes a depiction of the Vatican coat of arms. - The Bahamas is completely unique on that front, with this shade on the flag representing the water that surrounds the islands. - One of the youngest national flags in the world belongs to the Republic of Seychelles. This flag is only 22 years old, putting it in that awkward place between Millennial and Gen Z. - The easily recognizable Canadian flag is adorned with a maple leaf. However, their representation of a maple leaf doesn’t exist in nature: it only has 11 points as opposed to the nearly 20 that can appear on real ones. - The Paraguayan flag is also pretty unique; it’s double-sided! - Portugal’s flag is the only one to feature a scientific device in its design. Behind the Portuguese shield in their national coat of arms sits an armillary sphere, which is used to calculate coordinates in astronomy. - The Bhutanese flag has a dragon on it to allude to the country’s Tibetan name, which translates to “The Land of the Dragon. - The Brazilian flag is a green rectangle with a yellow diamond in the middle. Within the diamond, you’ll see a blue circle depicting the starry night. - Romania and Chad have a similar problem with their flags. Their designs both feature three vertical stripes in blue, yellow, and red. 10 Famous Funny Commercials

11:36
I put together ten of the most funny commercials that made me laugh and that are also famous, that have written history so to say. You find the description below. I hope you enjoy them as I did. Tell me in the comments which one is your #1 - or at least your #1.5 - I will include your vote in the ranking at the end of this text to see which commercial people like the most. These ads are included: 1. Cinesite Studios, “Beans”, also called “Not for Austronauts” or the "Astronaut Ad" from 2013, a mock ad – the non-existent Haynes Baked Beans only resemble Heinz – for the famous visual effects and feature animation studio known for movies like Harry Potter, Avengers: Infinity War, Captain America: Civil War, and others whose logo appears at the end. This hillarious commercial is often shown but not always understood. 2. Doritos, "Ultrasound"/“Birth” from the 2016 Super Bowl was a highly controversial, yet extremely funny commercial that still has its fans and opponents 3. Kia niro, “Hero” with Melissa McCarthy from the 2017 Super Bowl, also refered to as “I love Whales!” that got a lot of press and features Bonnie Tyler's “Holding up for a hero” 4. Kia, “The Truth” with Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus from The Matrix, singing Nessun dorma for the Super Bowl 2014 5. Shadow of War, “Not today, Brian” from 2017 for the video game, also known for its line “Nothing will be forgotten” 6. Heinz Tomato Ketchup, “Wiener Stampede”, the adorable ad from the 2016 Super Bowl, part of the “Meet the Ketchups” promotion 7. Volkswagen VW Passat, “The Force”, also called "Darth Vader" from 2011 Super Bowl - this extended version was seen by 8 million viewers online before the game, a huge success at this time, during the game a shorter version was aired, later other versions/sequels followed, a game-changing commercial a lot of media was talking about and many people still enjoy. 8. Clash Of Clans, “Revenge” with Liam Neeson as his famous character from Taken for the Super Bowl 2015, also famous for its line “You will regret the day you crossed AngryNeeson52” 9. Old Spice, “Jungle Wilderness” from the 2011 Danger Zone campaign with the famous line “You smell like you look – amazing” (the most amazing thing, though, is the line “Dramatization only. Do not attempt.” in the bottom right corner at 7:21 - who would attempt THAT?) 10. Wix, "Disruptive World" with Gal Gadot, the new Wonder Woman and Jason Statham from The Expandables and Transporter for the cloud-based web development platform for the Super Bowl 2017 in the extended version - with more than 22.6 million views online it was the most-seen commercial before the game. It was was shot by the French Louis Leterrier who directed the Transporter films, Unleashed, The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans and Now You See Me in Barcelona with estimated costs for producing and broadcasting somewhere around 14 millions dollars + 11. Anheuser-Busch Budweiser beer / Bud, “Whassup?”, also known as Wazzup, What’s up or True, true that ran from 1999 to 2002 and became a catchphrase. It won the Cannes Grand Prix and the Grand Clio awards, and was parodied in Scary Movie in 2000, years later also by Annoying Orange and others. 11.5 Anheuser-Busch Budweiser beer / “Wassup Wasabi or just "Wasabi", the lesser known yet extremely funny follow-up to the Whassup commercial with Dookie and his wife ----------------------------------------------------------- The votes are in and the current winner is: Bud “Whassup” – true, true … Results in detail, status January 8, 2019 (votes and positive mentions counted) 1. Anheuser-Busch Budweiser / Bud, “Whassup” / “Wasabi”: 341 votes/mentions 2. Cinesite, “Beans” / Astronaut: 189 votes/mentions 3. Wix, “Disruptive World”: 185 votes/mentions – mainly because of Gal Gadot (and a little bit because of Jason Statham) 4. Heinz Tomato Ketchup, “Wiener Stampede”: 148 votes/mentions – mainly because of the cute dogs 5. Volkswagen, “The Force” / Darth Vader: 106 votes/mentions – mainly because of the cute Darth Vader 6. Clash Of Clans, “Revenge”: 101 votes/mentions – mainly because of Liam Neeson 7. Doritos, “Ultrasound”: 100 votes/mentions 8. Kia, “Hero”: 69 votes/mentions 9. Curious and Unusual Deaths: Death by Routine Maintenance

21:33
Death by Routine Maintenance In Michigan, an attendant at a car wash dies after he is entangled in the spinning brushes at the wash. In Dallas, Texas, theater director Margo Jones dies after being exposed to toxic fumes from a solvent that was used to clean her carpet. In New Zealand, a newlywed couple die after they are exposed to a deadly amount of underground Hydrogen Sulfide in their hotel room. This is a scientific investigation of case studies where death has come from unexpected means. The viewer will invest themselves into the story and the science without simply waiting for the next gruesome grizzly scene. And for these reasons Curious and Unusual Deaths will never feature any deaths involving children pets or suicides. Curious and Unusual Deaths is a romp through the world's weirdest fatalities - and the scientific story behind each one. It's the science that kills when death shows no mercy.

Most MYSTERIOUS Ocean Facts!

11:50
Check out these top unexplained mysteries of the deep ocean. From strange sounds captured in the deep sea by hydrophones such as the bloop, the train, and julia, to gigantic whirlpools, biggest underwater falls and the milky bioluminescent sea phenomenon. Are deep sea monsters living deep in the ocean? Subscribe For New Videos! http://goo.gl/UIzLeB Watch our "12 Historical Treasures In The Middle East DESTROYED!" video here: https://youtu.be/Nt9mWUpTp1U Watch our "Most HAUNTED Places In The World!" video here: https://youtu.be/h9elrDhft9w Watch our "Most DANGEROUS Religious Cults Ever!" video here: https://youtu.be/VTD1qabI3v0 9. Underwater Falls Voted one of the most beautiful places on Earth, Mauritius is an island nation in the Indian Ocean. On the Southwestern tip of the island you will find a fascinating illusion. When viewed from above, a runoff of sand and silt deposits creates the impression of an ‘underwater waterfall’. But did you know there are actually real underwater waterfalls? Seven waterfalls have been discovered deep underwater. The tallest waterfall on Earth is not Angel Falls, but an underwater waterfall called Denmark Strait Cataract located in the Atlantic ocean between Greenland and Iceland. It is the world's highest underwater waterfall, with water falling almost 11,500 feet and carries 175 million cubic feet of water per second. It is caused due to temperature differences in the water on either side of the strait. Cold water is denser than warm water. And the eastern side of the strait is a lot colder than the western side. So when the waters meet, the cold water sinks below the warmer water, creating a strong downward flow, which is considered a waterfall. And it's not just waterfalls that are under the ocean. There are huge secret rivers, complete with rapids and islands that flow down the sea shelves out into the desert plains creating river banks and flood plains. Here's a picture of the river Cenote Angelita under the sea of Mexico. These salty rivers carry sediments and minerals and could be vital in sustaining life. The world's sixth largest river, by volume, is below the Black Sea. It is 350 times larger than the Thames and 150 feet deep in places. 8. Milky Sea Phenomenon For over 400 years, sailors told tales of a mysterious event that takes place far out in the Indian Ocean. They would come across miles and miles of milky glowing waters, sometimes stretching as far as the eye could see. In 2005, a group of scientists led by Dr. Steven Miller of the Naval Research Laboratory in Monterey, Calif., decided to take a closer look at this story to see if it was true. They managed to register about 235 observations and get a satellite image that showed an area of low lighting in the Indian Ocean about the size of Connecticut. Their samples that they collected indicated the presence of a type of bioluminescent bacteria in the water, known as Vibrio harveyi. This isn't the same kind of bacteria that you might see in waves that use their bright light to ward off predators. This bioluminescent bacteria may actually use light to attract fish, since its favorite place to live is inside a fish's gut. Scientists' guess is that since they only emit a very faint light on their own, they have to gather together to make an impact. Their collective glow can grow to massive, milky sea proportions when their numbers swell to a huge amount -- think 40 billion trillion. They may also congregate to colonize algae. Sounds like a party! It is still only a guess since Dr. Miller and his colleagues haven't determined exactly what causes the bacteria to gather. 7. Unexplained sounds Of course dark, creepy fog can make you jump at anything that goes bump in the night. But what about things that go "bloop" in the sea? With names like "The Bloop," "Train" and "Julia," the sounds have been captured by hydrophones, or underwater microphones, monitored by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The decidedly nonspooky nicknames for these sounds do little to dispel the mystery surrounding them. In 1997, NOAA hydrophones 3,000 miles apart picked up one of the loudest sounds ever recorded off the southern coast of South America: the Bloop (which sounds exactly like its name, a bloop). The Bloop mimics marine animal sounds in some ways, but if it were some kind of sea creature it would have to be almost the size of the Eiffel tower for that sound to be heard from 3,000 miles away. So what made the sound? It's anyone's guess but deep-sea monsters aside, NOAA holds the most likely explanation for The Bloop is that it was the sound of a large iceberg fracturing. Sure.... Another weird noise known as Julia sounds almost like someone whining or maybe even singing under water. The eastern equatorial Pacific autonomous array (the fancy name for the network of hydrophones) picked up this strange sound that lasted 15 seconds in 1999.

10 Shocking Mutant Animal Discoveries

Shocking mutant animal discoveries! These unusual creatures show real animal mutations; born with additional limbs or two faces. Support our Patreon today: https://www.patreon.com/theywillkillyou Subscribe for new videos: http://goo.gl/SaufF4 Follow us on Instagram: @theywillkillyou Voiceover by Carl Mason: [email protected] 10 Winged Cats During a heat wave in China’s Sichuan Province, several cat owners noticed that their pets started developing bumps on their backs. They didn’t think much of it at first, but then the bumps began turning into wing-like growths. 9 Kenny Kenny was a white tiger rescued along with his brother Willie, in 2006, by the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Reserve in Arkansas. Willie had a normal orange coat but was cross-eyed. Kenny, however, was mentally disabled and couldn’t close his mouth properly because of a deformity in his face. Their parents were siblings made to mate by their breeder in an attempt to get a white tiger. 8 Two-headed Snake As their name implies, black rat snakes have bodies that are completely black, with the exception of their chins, which are white. One of the first strange things about We the black rat snake was that it was an albino, meaning that its body was completely white. The second and arguably much stranger aspect, was that We had two heads and both male and female reproductive organs. Back in 1999, We was bought by the World Aquarium in St. Louis for $15,000. In the years that followed close to one million people visited it. In the wild, two headed snakes don’t live for very long. 7 Faith Because of a brain mutation, Faith’s front legs never fully developed when she was born. She was a homeless dog that had been rejected by her mother as a pup. When 17-year-old Reuben Stringfellow found her abandoned he decided to give Faith to his mother. Unfortunately, the dog’s front legs gradually became weaker and ultimately had to be amputated. Yet, what could have been a very sad story, eventually turned into an inspirational one. 6 Three-headed Frog Even though reports of mutant frogs have been circulating for more than 200 years, finding one with three heads and six legs was considered highly unlikely. That was until students from the Green Umbrella Nursery in the UK discovered such a specimen in 2004. When they first laid eyes on the animal, they thought it was actually three separate frogs standing very close to each other. Upon closer examination they noticed that it was actually one frog. Its eyes and legs appeared to function normally but it wasn’t clear if it could ingest food through all its three mouths. 5 Octogoat Croatian farmer Zoran Paparic had to call a neighbor to his home to make sure he wasn’t going crazy. It all happened after Paparic saw the kid that his goat Sarka had given birth to. Not only did the newborn have both female and male reproductive organs but it also had eight legs. 4 Monkey-Faced Piglet From a litter of 15 piglets born on a farm in Guizhou Province, China, one stood out with some very unusual features. Its body featured trotters and overall resembled that of a normal piglet. The animal’s face, however, was described as resembling that of a monkey. Its eyes were of different sizes and protruded from its head. It had two holes for a nose and an overbite that left its long tongue protruding from its mouth. 3 Belgian Blue You might have seen pictures on the Internet of incredibly muscular cows that would stir the envy of most professional bodybuilders. This is a breed of beef cattle known as the Belgian Blue. They have a natural mutation in the myostatin gene, which is responsible for inhibiting muscle growth. The mutation stops the myostatin gene from working properly which causes lean muscle to grow faster. The result is an ultra-muscular, hyper sculpted physique. 2 Frank and Louie On September 8, 2011, Frank and Louie turned 12 years and entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest Janus cats in the world. Janus cats suffer from a very rare mutation called craniofacial duplication. This mutation causes an animal to have two faces on a single skull. Although extremely rare, it can even occur in humans.ous owner had brought them to the clinic to have them put down. 1 Giant Feral Hog According to the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, licensed hunters are encouraged to help reduce the feral hog population. These animals reproduce quickly and don’t really have any natural predators. It’s been estimated that, each year in the US, feral hogs cause around $800 million worth of agricultural damage. People often have to protect their property from these beasts. However, the beast that stumbled into Wade Seago’s front yard was in a league of its own.

10 Most Unusual Schools In The World

06:04
Top 10 of the most unique, revolutionary and some even bizarre classrooms where elementary and high school students attend around the world. Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Description: School means different things to different people and no two academic experiences are totally alike. Even so, most students can share a common notion of what constitutes a relatively ‘normal’ academic experience. There’s the too-early morning bell, the cramped, uncomfortable desks, the omnipresent chalk board, the all-too-short lunch period and, of course, the endless piles of homework crammed into an over-stuffed, heavy knapsack. Generally, there is something of a universality to the shape, structure and style of schools. These elements are so intrinsically tied to the experience of going to school that they remained burned into your consciousness, even many years after graduation. But it’s important to recognize that the educational experiences that may be familiar to you aren’t shared everywhere. Sometimes out of a situational necessity and sometimes simply in order to offer something new, going to school can mean something entirely different to particular student. Indeed, you can find all kinds of varied scholastic institutions both beyond American borders and, in some cases, inside of them. Places of education, after all, don’t carry any required, mandatory qualities outside of teachers passing along knowledge and information to pupils within four walls. And, as we will see over the course of this list, the teaching doesn’t even need to take place within four walls. Just as they say that home is where the heart is, it can also be said that school is where the learning is. Despite some of the standardized elements to learning institutions with which we’ve become familiar, some schools recognize that you can’t reach all students in the same way. Students thrive within a variety of different environments with messages that are transmitted through various means. Some are visual learners, some are oral. Some prefer a classroom settings, while others do their best work amidst a less traditional environment. Some learn best from a textbook, some through current digital tools. And some seem to do their best learning from a boat, but we’ll get to that in a minute. The point is that there are some weird classroom settings out there – and that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. Learning can thrive in any setting, with some unique surroundings often providing inspiration. The Sinarmas World Academy in Indonesia, for example, offers students a learning environment that includes a scenic campus featuring a stunning courtyard, a domed pathway, a cutting edge media library and a state-of-the-art performing arts center. Other educational locales set themselves apart through their course material, perhaps most notably a school in Spain that teaches lessons in the world’s oldest profession. The following list may not include any classes in prostitution, but it does feature plenty of school settings that don’t look a thing like your alma mater. Education takes on a decidedly different look when it takes place in fresh, invigorating surroundings, or when it covers lessons that extend beyond basic reading, writing and arithmetic. Here are 10 of the most unique schools in the world. This Farm of the Future Uses No Soil and 95% Less Water

03:38
Watch the next episode about San Francisco becoming a zero waste city: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cg3OA1s8-SI&list=UUJsSEDFFnMFvW9JWU6XUn0Q As urban populations continue to rise, innovators are looking beyond traditional farming as a way to feed everyone while having less impact on our land and water resources. Vertical farming is one solution that's been implemented around the world. Vertical farms produce crops in stacked layers, often in controlled environments such as those built by AeroFarms in Newark, New Jersey. AeroFarms grows a variety of leafy salad greens using a process called "aeroponics," which relies on air and mist. AeroFarms' crops are grown entirely indoors using a reusable cloth medium made from recycled plastics. In the absence of sun exposure, the company uses LED lights that expose plants to only certain types of spectrum. AeroFarms claims it uses 95% less water than a traditional farm thanks to its specially designed root misting system. And it is now building out a new 70,000 square foot facility in a former steel mill. Once completed, it's expected to grow 2 million pounds of greens per year, making it the largest indoor vertical farm in the world.
