10 Body Features Only 5% of People Have

11:06
All people in the world are different, and every one is unique. And yet some of us have rare features that occur in only a few percents of humans. Do you know anybody whose bones are harder than concrete? We are going to tell you about the most unusual and mind-blowing characteristics only a few people have. Some are just nice physical features, but there are those Superman himself would envy! TIMESTAMPS Incredibly dense bones 1:02 "Golden" blood 2:01 Long palmar muscle 2:50 Genetic chimerism 3:40 Double lash line 5:00 A hole near the ear 5:45 Additional ribs 6:29 Ability to perceive "invisible" colors 7:21 Small need for sleep 8:37 The impossibility of cholesterol growth 9:40 SUMMARY - Studying the gene LRP5 (responsible for the mineralization of bones), scientists discovered mutations which cause diseases accompanied by bone fragility. Yet there is another type of LRP5 mutation: it gives a person super dense bones that are almost impossible to break and skin that is less prone to aging. Such bones are several times tougher than those of an average person. - On the surface of every red blood cell, people typically have about 342 antigens, 160 of which can be found in almost everybody. If a person has a lack of at least one of these antigens, their blood is rare. - A recent study has shown that 16 percent of people don't have this thin tendon. It is too weak to affect your grip, and even if it is cut, it won't make any visible changes. - Human chimerism is an additional set of DNA. Sometimes it appears in the form of "mosaic" skin or heterochromia, but most often it remains unnoticed. - Distichiasis usually doesn't bring any inconvenience. People with this unusual feature may have just several sparse hairs growing on one lid or full lines of lashes doubling the ones everybody has. - A hole near the ear is a congenital auricular fistula, formed during fetal development, occurring in about 5% of people. In fact, in the USA less than 1 percent of people have them, in Asia and some parts of Africa this figure is higher - from 5 to 10 percent. - Every adult out of 500 individuals has an extra rib. While all the other people have two dozens, these "lucky" ones can have 25 or even 26 ribs in their body. "Excessive" ribs are more often found in women. - With a dandelion, we describe its color as yellow. A tetrachromatic person will see a whole range of shades. This condition is caused by the mutations in the X chromosome. This difference allows people to see up to 99 million colors, while an ordinary person perceives not more than 1 million. - The DEC2 gene is a small mutation found in low-sleep people. Scientists from the University of California concluded that people with the DEC2 mutation could perform all the same tasks in less time. Can you imagine, having just 4 hours of sleep daily, you will get 60 days of free time a year! - There's a tiny group of lucky people who can eat almost anything without worrying about cholesterol. Their risk of developing heart disease is reduced by as much as 90%. While an average American is straining to reach a perfect result of fewer than 100 milligrams of "bad cholesterol" per deciliter of blood, people with this mutation have about 15! Women With BODY FEATURES You Won't Believe Are Real

11:15
Only 1% of people have these amazing body features! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg Flipping through the pages of most fashion magazines, you may start to think that all women look pretty similar to one another. But in the real world, there are many women out there with features that make them stand out from the crowd. In this video, we will show you ten women with incredible features that make them totally unique. If your favorite Disney princess is Rapunzel, wait until you see Alia Nasyrova’s amazingly long locks. Tanesha Brown has a condition known as vitiligo, which means that her skin appears patchy. After years of hiding it under makeup, she’s come to embrace what makes her unique, and encourages others to do the same. Marimar Quiroa does not let her facial tumor stop her from being a successful makeup vlogger, and has finally given up trying to alter her appearance surgically. Some women won’t date men shorter than them, but if Elisany da Cruz Silva kept to that criteria, she might not ever find love! Chase Kennedy is another incredibly tall woman, and she claims that she has the longest legs in the entire world. Rose Geil spent years trying to shave off her enormous amount of facial hair before putting down her razor and letting her natural beard grow in. When she was born, the parents of Sari Rezita Ariyanti didn’t realize there was anything unusual about her. But eventually, they realized that she would never grow any larger, and despite being in her 20s still looks like a toddler. 13 Unbelievable Coincidences That Will Leave You Confused

09:17
Do you believe that people can foresee the future? Is time travel possible? Do you know that there are many things that cannot be explained? Life sometimes brings us strange surprises that are impossible to explain. We at Bright Side never cease to be amazed by the coincidences that occur in this world which demonstrate just how unpredictable and mysterious it is. We've prepared a few bright examples from the history that will prove that time travel exists. Also, we have prepared a bonus for you. It will make you believe that there is something out there in the universe that we don’t know about yet. Stay with us and dive into the world of the unexplained. TIMESTAMPS Is time travel possible? 0:55 A premonition of the Titanic 1:33 Neighbors living in different centuries 2:15 The Tragedy on the Hoover Dam 2:55 The cars that found each other 3:34 Coincidences in the biographies of Lincoln and Kennedy 4:22 The first and last soldiers 5:14 Rumors of Edgar Allan Poe’s time machine 5:42 Unlucky brothers 6:23 Anthony Hopkins and a rare book 6:58 A special name for the Roman Empire 7:33 Donald Trump’s election victory in The Simpsons 8:08 Bonus: Almost like reincarnation 8:37 SUMMARY - Jennifer Lawrence is not only the spitting image of a silver age Egyptian actress Zubaida Tharwat, but also they have similarities in their careers and lives. - 14 years before the sinking of the Titanic, fantasy writer Morgan Robertson wrote the novella Futility, which told the story of a ship that was sunk — and which bore the name The Titan. - The famous composer George Handel was a neighbor of a famous guitarist Jimi Hendrix — admittedly, they were separated by two centuries. They were both incredible musicians. - The Hoover dam, located in the USA, is believed to be one of the most mysterious in the world. Over than 100 workers died while constructing it. - In 1895, in the state of Ohio, two cars collided. During this period, automobile production was only just beginning to take off, and there were only these two cars in all of Ohio. - A multitude of strange coincidences exists in the biographies of two American presidents: Abraham Lincoln and John Kennedy. - The British Army during World War 1 lost about 673,375 soldiers that were declared to be dead and missing. The graves of the first and last British soldiers killed in this war are located 6 m from each other. - In the book The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket, written by Edgar Allan Poe, we learn the story of four sailors who survived the sinking of their ship. 46 years after the book was written, an actual boat did sink. - In July 1975, Erskine Lawrence Ebbin was hit by a taxi. Almost a year before, Erskine’s brother — who was also 17 — was killed. He was riding the same moped, and he was killed by a taxi as well. Behind the wheel was the same driver. - Anthony Hopkins urgently needed to get hold of a book so that he could study for a role he was starring in: The Girl from Petrovka, written by George Feifer. - One of the most powerful empires of the ancient world began and ended with the name "Romulus." - The creators of The Simpsons made an episode in the year 2000, which made a joke about Donald Trump becoming the president of the United States. Could they ever have guessed that one day it would become true? BONUS Enzo Ferrari, who founded the Ferrari Company, died in 1988. About a month later, the footballer Mesut Özil was born. Looking at their portraits, you could be forgiven for thinking they are twin brothers. Is this a case of reincarnation? 10 Unique Animals You Won’t Believe Exist

09:42
10 strange and amazing animals that you have probably never heard of. Nature is truly full of surprises! We live in the twenty-first century, and all continents have already been discovered, all secrets of our planet revealed, all mountain peaks conquered. Just when you think you have seen it all, some new bizarre creature makes an appearance instantly restoring your faith in the impossible! TIMESTAMPS Mangalitsa Pig, a.k.a. “a pig in sheep’s clothing” 0:50 Rhinopithecus or golden snub-nosed monkey 1:33 Emperor tamarin 2:13 Patagonian Mara 3:04 Fluffy cow 3:52 Markhor Goat 4:44 Raccoon dog 5:23 Blue Footed Booby 6:25 Malayan Colugo 7:13 Venezuelan Poodle Moth 8:09 BONUS 8:56 SUMMARY - The birthplace of this curly-haired pig is Hungary where it was discovered in the mid-19th century. Due to the fleece covering this animal, it resembles a sheep, therefore, such a name! - The name of this species is roxellana, and there is a story behind it. It is believed that they were called this way after the supposedly snub-nosed courtesan of Suleiman the Magnificent (a 16th century Sultan of the Ottoman Empire). - They were called like this because of the resemblance of their mustache to that of German Emperor Wilhelm II. - Patagonia Mara is the fourth largest rodent on our planet. There are several interesting facts about them. Females often put offsprings into crèches for safety. - Fluffy cows are looked after by people whose work is to wash, dry and use products to style these animals, so they look as fluffy as they do! It is necessary to maintain them daily, and it will take months of regular grooming until they get this lovely look of kids toys. - If you see a creature which looks as if it’s trying to catch an alien radio signal from space, it’s most likely Markhor Goat. They can grow as long as 6 ft from head to tail! - If you can’t decide if you want to have a dog or a raccoon as a pet, we have just the thing for you - raccoon dog! Despite having raccoon-like markings on their fur, they are not very closely related to the North American raccoon. - Blue Footed Booby are to catch your eye if you ever visit the Galapagos Islands. They can look a bit clumsy and comical on land, but they are excellent at flying and swimming. - Colugo has a large gliding membrane (like a flying squirrel), and they can glide for long distances between trees standing far apart. - Even if the Poodle Moth may look as if it lives in Antarctica with all this fur, in fact, it comes from Venezuela, a tropical country. Its hairs don’t serve for heating. BONUS Cloud Antelope! This species lives in the clouds (that’s why such a name)! Its bright blue fur is the reflection of cloudless blue skies in the area of its habitat. Its diet consists of sun rays and candies... 10 Unusual Genetic Mutations Of The Human Body

12:52
Very interesting and unusual human body mutations. The human body is extremely interesting. From evolution to bizarre facts about human body parts to crazy body features, there is a lot to learn about our genes and DNA. #Evolution #Human #Mutations Music: https://www.youtube.com/audiolibrary/music Summary: What do we know about the genes that determine who we are and what we look like? Genes are sections or segments of DNA that are carried on the chromosomes and determine specific human characteristics, such as height or hair color. Because every person has about 25,000 different genes, the number of possible combinations is almost endless. On top of these endless possibilities, we're also susceptible to genetic anomalies or mutations. There are just so many interesting things about the human body as well as human body parts that we don’t know, and researchers are learning more and more every day. A gene mutation is a permanent alteration in the DNA sequence that makes up a gene and differs from most people. Evolution just wouldn’t be possible without the endless possibilities our DNA offers or the mutations springing up now and again to bestow new attributes on living things. Have you had any genetic tricks played on you that really set you apart? Chances are you don't have many of these bizarre body features and human body parts. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe to Bestie : https://goo.gl/tUqro6 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bestieinc/ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

13 Unusual Facts About Females That Are Totally True

09:48
What do we know about women and girls? All of those books on how to understand women have nothing about the biological and social facts of the fairer side of humanity. Bright Side looked far and wide to find some pretty awesome and controversial facts about ladies — and here is what we got. TIMESTAMPS Women see more colors. 0:50 The female body has a lower resistance to alcohol. 1:20 Maturity is attractive. 2:04 The average woman will eat 4 lb of lipstick in her lifetime. 2:34 They hate taking risks. 3:07 They might make their men fat. 3:34 Style over comfort. 4:00 A heightened sense of smell. 4:23 The brain cells are packed more densely in the female brain. 4:41 They are the unsung heroes of inventions. 5:41 Heels were for men. 7:36 Women can read faces. 7:57 Long live women! 8:45 SUMMARY - Women seeing on average 20% more differences in colors and shapes. - Alcohol is even more dangerous for women as they are more prone to liver disease like hepatitis (an inflammation of the liver) and are more likely to die from liver cirrhosis (a chronic disease). - Various studies have shown that a woman is more attractive the more fertile she looks, so women who have given birth, grown into a very feminine body, or do not use birth control are way more attractive to men. - It comes down to women licking off or eating with food about 4 lb of lipstick in their life. That translates to 533.76 lipsticks. - The anterior cingulate cortex, the part of the brain that weighs options when making a decision, is larger in women than in men. - A lot of men in long-term relationships are getting bigger, and that might be the doing of their women. They go into a “taking care” mode that results in feeding their partner excessively (with the intention of having a strong “warrior” by their side). - Society and media have been pressing women for centuries to hold themselves to a certain standard. - The heightened sense of smell helped our ancestors to survive and, as women were mainly gatherers, helped them to pick the right foods for the family. - The female brain is 9% smaller than its male counterpart. - Women over the years have patented: disposable diapers, paper bags, nonreflective glass, the foot-pedal trash can, the dishwasher, and many other innovations. - Heels were brought into women’s fashion to mimic the men who wore heels as a sign of their masculinity and status. - Women are better at reading faces, gestures, and voice tones, which makes them superior conversationalists and social leaders. - Sometimes the life duration differences between men and women can be up to a decade, but on average it is at least 2–3 years all over the world. Even with all that we know about fair ladies, there’s still a ton of mysteries to be unraveled. Which ones are your favorite? Most 80s & 90s Movies Feature This Unusual Trope

02:19
Most ‘80s and ‘90s films feature a scene where a character goes down a slide of some kind. Some directors, like Ron Howard of Willow make it a kinetic, wild ride for the audience as well. Other directors, like Robert Altman of Popeye, keep their distance and do not try to implicate the viewer in the adrenalin rush of the slider. This trope gives the feeling of being on a rollercoaster more so than a movie scene. It is clearly intended to elicit a moving sensation for the person watching. We offer a hypothesis as to why this trend existed.

Christine & Léa Papin grew up in Le Mans, France. After a tragic upbringing, things appeared to be going in the right direction for them; they had a good job as head servant/cook & chambermaid in a the house of a wealthy middle class family. By all accounts, they were fed & treated well & had a comfortable heated room on the third floor of the large house of Monsieur Lancelin & his family. Then one day, the girls snapped...leaving a horific trail in their wake. No one could quite believe that these two kind & demure young women, could be capable of such shocking & grisly murders. Many thanks to one of my sweet viewer's 'Melissa Sutton' for suggesting I research this case. Check out Oddie's Historical Feature playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list... It's no wonder that in recent years WhatsApp became a huge part of our lives – it's convenient, quick and easy to use. Pretty much everyone has a large WhatsApp contact list and spend hours each day to catch up with their families, friends or plan some events! TIMESTAMPS How to change the font on WhatsApp 0:35 How to change font style on WhatsApp 1:04 Most popular contacts on WhatsApp 1:36 Muting group chats 2:03 How to make personal information private 2:33 Stop auto-saving 3:07 How to add dates to the calendar 3:35 Add a chat link to your home screen 4:01 How to send a message using Siri 4:28 Back your chat messages 4:53 Send a giant beating heart 5:27 Star the messages 5:49 How to secretly read messages 6:20 How to disable previews 7:03 Find out the exact time someone has read your text 7:33 SUMMARY - Just simply put this ` symbol three times before and after your text message! Like this, ` ` ` Hello!` ` `. - For bold messages, you have to put asterisks before and after your message (*Hello!*). You can send italics messages by adding underscores (_Hello!_). And your message can also be transformed to strikethrough by using tildes (~Hello!~). Plus, you can combine these styles by putting two or even all three symbols together (_~*Hello!*~_). - This works only on iOS devices. You can do that by heading to Settings and then picking Account and Storage Usage. You'll see the list of all your WhatsApp contacts and groups as well as the total number of messages you've sent and received for each one of them! - If there is some group chat or a person that's constantly bothering you with endless messages, you can simply mute it. Just pick the chat, click on its name or the name of the contact on top of the screen and select mute. You'll have an option to mute it for 8 hours, a week or even a year! - Go to Settings, then click Account and select Privacy. Here you can control what users will see your profile picture, status and last time you were seen on WhatsApp. - If you're sick and tired of constantly deleting unnecessary photos that your contacts message you, you can turn the auto-saving off. Again, go to Settings, then select Chats and turn off Save Incoming Media. - If you type a certain date in your message, it will appear as a hyperlink. If you tap on it, you'll be given an option to create an event in your calendar. So you can simply plan some adventures with your friends, work meetings or any other important events right from your WhatsApp. - If you're texting somebody pretty much all day or have a favorite chat that you need quick access to, you can easily add a link to it to your home screen. This works for Android devices. All you need to do is tap and hold on a chat and then click on three vertical dots on the top right of your screen and choose Add Conversation Shortcut. - Just say “Hey, Siri, send a WhatsApp to” and name the contact needed. - If you like to read old messages and get nostalgic from time to time, you can always back your history up on iCloud (for iPhone users) or Google Drive (for Android). If you have an iPhone and you want to back up a certain chat, just click on its name, then on the name of the contact and you'll see an option E-mail conversation. - If you want to express your feelings for someone in a whole other dimension, just send a red heart alone without any other emojis or words. You may think it's nothing much, but amazingly enough, it turns into a big beating heart. - For iOS users, there is a simple solution. Just double tap on a message and select the star icon. - When you receive a message don't open it right away and dismiss all the notifications. Then, set your phone on airline mode that will turn your Wi-Fi or Internet connection off. After that just open your app and read the text. - . WhatsApp thought about that and allowed its users to disable those little previews. To do so, you have to go to Settings, click Notifications and there you'll see the option Disable Show Preview. - Hold on any of your messages you're interested in and choose Info. There you'll see the time your message was sent and also the time it was read. Which one of these features did you like the most? Did you know about some of them? 14 Strange Ways of Life the Ancient Egyptians Practiced

09:46
We often think that we are completely different from ancient people, but archaeology shows that we are quite wrong. Here is a list of 14 unbelievable facts about the life of ancient Egyptians. TIMESTAMPS The invented written language 0:49 They invented tables 1:19 They invented wigs 1:38 They extracted iron from meteorites 2:14 They invented toothpaste 2:51 They used breath mints 3:53 They used antibiotics in the treatment 4:26 They invented eye makeup 5:02 They formed the world’s first police 5:24 They invented the calendar 6:15 They were the first to produce beer 7:12 They used door locks 7:40 They played bowling 8:11 They treated eyes 8:48 SUMMARY - The Egyptians used pictograms, which simply depicted words. Later they added characters that looked a lot like modern alphabets, which helped them to write down some abstract ideas. - Before the Egyptians, there were no tables (as far as we know). So, they made this simple piece of furniture to keep the food off the ground and also for gaming purposes. - Because of really hot climate, most Egyptians (at least, men) shaved their heads. That’s why when you watch a movie about ancient Egypt, most men are bald. However, some people wanted to have some kind of hair on their heads. So, when they felt like it, they used wigs. - Archaeologists found metal beads in an ancient Egyptian tomb. In 1911 nine pretty small beads were found in the north of Egypt. But why were these beads so unique? The thing is, the Egyptians started to smelt iron only 2 thousand years later. - they invented one of the first versions of toothpaste. It consisted of ashes, burnt eggshells, and ox hooves. Archaeologists even managed to find some guides on how to mix these ingredients to make the right paste. - Scientists examined mummies and found severely worn out teeth even in young people. So, to do something about the unpleasant smells from the mouth, they invented the first mints. They used myrrh and cinnamon, they boiled them with honey and made some kind of pellets. - The Egyptians kind of invented antibiotics way before the 20th century, but it looks like they didn’t know it. They used moldy flatbread to cure festering wounds. They fermented something that looked like porridge that had very high levels of tetracycline which we know as an antibiotic. - Both men and women in Egypt wore makeup. And it was a symbol of nobility. The more makeup you had, the higher your social status was. - The world’s first police were formed during the Middle Kingdom period (years 2050-1800 BC). It included the most loyal warriors and foreign mercenaries. The Egyptian policemen didn’t have guns or cool badges, but they were armed with staffs and accompanied by dogs and trained monkeys. - If the missed that day, all the harvest was at risk, so the Egyptians designed a system to be able to know which season it was. They had three seasons in a year: inundation, growing, and harvest. Each season consisted of four months, and each month had 30 days. - You might have heard that the workers who built the pyramids were paid with 4-5 liter of beer a day. - The ancient Egyptians possessed accurate medical knowledge that could be compared to modern practices. Scientists who examined mummies found traces of some truly challenging operations: heart bypass surgery, organ transplantation, and even plastic surgeries. - Door locks were created in Egypt and China, probably because such devices were needed. The more neighbors you have, the more reasons to lock your door. The mechanisms of the locks were quite simple: there were special pins inside that didn’t let anyone open the door without the key. - In one ancient settlement near Cairo, archaeologists found a playroom going back to 3200 BC with carved lanes and balls of various sizes for fingers. The rules were a little bit different from the modern bowling we all are used to. - Eye infection was a common disease among the Egyptians. They used various methods of treatment: they used bactericidal paint and remedies made of… human brains. Frank Matthews Story | Al Profit

01:22:49
https://www.americandope.com/shop/amd-hat-white-powder-black-power-dvd-combo-pack NO COMMERCIALS ON AMAZON PRIME: https://www.amazon.com/Frank-Matthews-Story/dp/B00D7Y8YYK/ Richer than Frank Lucas. More powerful than the Mafia. He was the biggest drug dealer in America. In 1973 he jumped bail and disappeared with 15 million dollars. He has never been seen again. Nearly four decades later, the fate of Frank Matthews remains a complete mystery. It s as if Matthews dropped off the face of the earth, explained Mike Pizzi, a retired U.S. Marshal who was involved with the hunt for Matthews, the fugitive, for several years. The one hour and 23 minute documentary features rare archival footage, interviews with numerous sources who previously haven t talked on camera about Frank Matthews and never before seen photos of Matthews. The documentary explores several intriguing questions: how was Matthews been able to operate for several years without being detected? What was his relationship with La Cosa Nostra? Why did the CIA get involved in the Matthews investigation? Why has the mystery of his disappearance been so difficult to solve? Born in 1944 in Durham, North Carolina, Matthews left his hometown when he was a teenager, going first to Philadelphia and then to New York City. By the early 1970 s, Frank Matthews had become America's biggest drug kingpin. His organization, headquartered in Brooklyn, stretched across more than 20 states, and he became the only Black gangster to establish direct ties to the French Connection heroin pipeline. To quote a federal prosecutor assigned to the Matthews case, Matthews was a pioneering giant of drug distribution." Matthews organization eventually outgrew even the Italian Mafia, and when he built himself a mansion in Staten Island's most exclusive neighborhood (and across the street from mobsters Paul Castellano and Three Finger Brown), he found himself on the verge of a feud with La Cosa Nostra. Matthews also battled militant Black Muslims for control in the streets of New Jersey and Philadelphia as he built his empire. The $15 to 20 million dollars he disappeared with is roughly equivalent to $100 million in today's cash. What happened to Frank Matthews? That s the most intriguing questionin organized crime history, said Chepesiuk, who has spent five years researching the Frank Matthews story. Despite one of the largest manhunts in US history, there is no proof as to whether he is alive or dead. About the Director Alan 'Al Profit' Bradley has directed numerous true crime documentaries including 'Motown Mafia' and 'Rollin: the Fall of the Auto Industry and the Rise of the Drug Economy in Detroit' His first feature film, 'Saint Aubin' was also released in 2012. Ron Chepesiuk is the author of dozens of books and the director of a documentary on legendary heroin smuggler Ike Atkinson. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Original Black Mafia Chronicles part 1 - Motown Mafia" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OkQDEWGnp0 -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

Bizarre Discoveries In The AMAZON That Scientist Can't Explain

Try out ThePremium Network for free: http://goo.gl/6UA678 BIZARRE DISCOVERIES In The Jungle That Scientists Couldn't Explain Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/9CwQhg For copyright matters please contact us at: [email protected] Humans like to think they are smart and have all the answers. Yet, the world is a pretty big place and there’s a lot of it we still have to explore. Today’s research trip sees us heading into the massive Amazon rainforest. It’s home to countless species of plants and animals, as well as an area filled with relics from ancient civilizations. All of this has combined to hand us a string of discoveries that seemingly leave more questions than answers. We’ll start things off with Mother Nature and a strange species of spider that builds even stranger decoys in its web. Scientists are still trying to iron out what the original Stonehenge was used for. As you can imagine, when similar designs were discovered in the Amazon it really got people talking. A strange book and a lost city are the things of legends. Yet, deep in the forest in Ecuador an ancient city has really got all the Indiana Jones’ out there talking. A river that boils and isn’t near any known volcano? Locals may think it is witchcraft but surely there’s a logical explanation for this Peruvian feature. El Dorado was a legendary city believed to be a myth. Yet, strange satellite imagery shows the existence of a massive civilization which goes against everything we thought we knew. Just like North America, the Amazon has its own Sasquatch-like creature which has been spotted many times but never explained in any way. At the mouth of the Amazon, researchers found a massive coral reef – a strange find in this area of the world. Searching through the forest, some explorers discovered tiny little structures on the trees and plants that looked like white picket fences. What are they and who built them? Naturally, we need to address the alien sightings, whether you believe they exist or not. Finally, we’ll end on a strange sight involving a relationship between a mysterious tree fungus, caterpillars and ants. It’s a bizarre love triangle – Amazon style. 10 Rare Diseases That Turn People Into Superheroes

12:38
People tend to associate an illness with something unpleasant and often dangerous, and they have their reasons to think so. But there are some diseases which, unlike a common cold, look like superpowers. At least at first sight. In this video, you will get acquainted with some of them. These rare diseases not only leave scientists confused but also make their carriers similar to superheroes! Have you caught a cold? Oh, how unlucky! All these nasty symptoms again: a runny nose, non-stop coughing, and also, it hurts to eat! But you know what? Quit nagging! Your illness will pass in (about) a week. But imagine the life of those who suffer from chronic diseases! TIMESTAMPS Super memory 1:06 Insensibility to pain 2:28 Abilities to literally anything 3:47 Insensitivity to cold 5:01 The complete absence of fear 5:58 The Vampire disorder 7:03 Octopus people 8:38 Stone Man Syndrome 9:38 Werewolf Syndrome 10:20 Foreign accent syndrome 11:21 SUMMARY - This condition is called hyperthymesia - a disruption of memory which causes a person to remember all the events of their life down to every last detail. There are just about 60 people in the world who have been diagnosed with such a unique disease. - In-born analgesia - that's a scientific name of the condition when a person doesn't feel pain. Like, at all. There is a surprising fact to think about: despite the rareness of this disease, as many as 40 cases of it have been registered in one of the villages in Sweden. - Savant syndrome is a rare condition which might be typical for people with developmental disorders, such as autism or Asperger's syndrome. Patients with such condition are extremely talented in music, drawing and painting, calculations, cartography, and constructing 3D models. - Besides people who don't react to pain, there are those who are indifferent to cold. A vivid example is Wim Hof - a man from the Netherlands who brought doctors to their wit's end. The thing is Wim is able to stand very low temperatures. He managed to spend 120 minutes in a pipe with freezing water and ice, has climbed to the top of Mont Blanc wearing shorts (and his pen), and even swims under the ice of frozen lakes and rivers. - Urbach-Wiethe disease is a rare genetic disorder which leads to the complete lack of fear. Only 300 cases are known, and a quarter of them have been registered in South Africa. - Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia. People suffering from this condition frequently have eerily pointed teeth, therefore, looking similar to the legendary blood-feeding creatures from horror films. People with more prominent symptoms of this illness are extremely thin and pale; their eyes are outlined with dark circles. - Polymelia is a strange disorder. People suffering from it are born with an unusual number of limbs. In some cases, these limbs are pretty useful, in others they are non-functioning. - This syndrome is genetic, what is more, it progresses throughout life. People with such a disease have the soft tissues of their bodies turning into bone. The mutation of the ACVR1 gene responsible for the development of different tissues of the human body leads to terrible consequences. - The hair growth of such people is abnormal. All their bodies are covered with thick hair, it grows, long and lush, even on their faces. The reason for this condition which has gained the nickname "werewolf syndrome" is most likely to be the genetic mutation. - Foreign accent syndrome. The most common reason for this condition is a head injury or a stroke. The person with this condition changes the way they place their tongue during speaking. The most effective treatment, in this case, is the speech therapy. Which disease have you found the most shocking? Have you ever met anybody with the conditions described in the video? Curious and Unusual Deaths: Trapped in Death

20:58
Trapped in Death In Connecticut, a teenager falls into a sand hole on a beach and dies after it entombs him in sand. In Utah, a man crawls into a small crevice in a cave and dies after becoming trapped. In Moscow, a cosmonaut dies after he catches on fire in a high oxygen environment. This is a scientific investigation of case studies where death has come from unexpected means. The viewer will invest themselves into the story and the science without simply waiting for the next gruesome grizzly scene. And for these reasons Curious and Unusual Deaths will never feature any deaths involving children pets or suicides. Curious and Unusual Deaths is a romp through the world's weirdest fatalities - and the scientific story behind each one. It's the science that kills when death shows no mercy.

Adam Dunn had the weirdest career in MLB history | Dorktown

10:29
In all of baseball history, you'd be hard pressed to find a statistically weirder career than Adam Dunn's. The king of the Three True Outcomes, Dunn was both incredibly consistent and full of outliers, and his efforts saved the stamina of countless fielders who got to stay exactly where they were for most of his plate appearances. Death by the Great Outdoors Mother Nature isn't always nurturing and she was out to get an overly ambitious kite flyer. But a snake shouldn't kill after it's pickled in beer. Here, I post some useful information for English learners. I’m from Ukraine and I’ve worked on my English and accent, for the most part, on my own, but you can find out and trace my story by watching my videos. I’ve been studying American pronunciation for a long time, and I still do, and I guess I always will – because it’s not math. Learning a language, it’s a lifetime journey. I know exactly what it takes to become fluent and acquire an accent in a non-English speaking country, and I’ve never even been to one. And I’m sharing this information here – on my channel. instagram page - hannahkhoma Facebook page - English Fluency Journey Reciprocity is a social norm that involves in-kind exchanges between people—responding to another’s action with another equivalent action. If you do something good for me, I will do something good for you as well. It is usually positive and doesn’t include an economic exchange, but it can also be negative, like when people do something for you, expecting something in exchange and then pushing it. /ˌres.ɪˈprɑː.sə.t̬i/ Reciprocity will be difficult or impossible to develop and maintain if one partner in the relationship believes that they are and must be superior or in control. (This example was taken from the Good therapy web site https://www.goodtherapy.org/ - the link is below in the description. If you’re into psychology you check it out or if you’re looking for something to read, you can read those articles) The next word is quintessential. This is the most typical example or the most perfect or the most important part of something. The synonyms are stereotypical, typical, classical. /ˌkwɪn•təˈsen•ʃəl/ Being a management consultant is a quintessential job for MBA graduates. He has quintessential romantic beliefs.
