We are looking for stocks that we expect will move in a predictable direction. We want to take a position with a predefined stop level and profit target. Sounds easy right? In a lot of ways it is. Our Trading Courses focus on the most fundamental aspects of a successful trade. // Chart Patterns After you understand risk management and proper stock selection, we teach you how to find stock patterns on charts. These patterns are how we base our risk and reward. We look for chart patterns that have well defined areas of support and resistance. We will use previous support levels as our stop price, or our risk, and we look at previous resistance areas as our initial profit target, or our reward. If the profit vs loss ratio is 2:1 we will take the trade. I teach both day trading strategies and swing trading strategies. For day trading we focus primarily on 5min charts while swing traders focus more on daily charts. The patterns in general are the same. I teach traders how to find patterns in real-time including Bull Flags, Bear Flags, Flat Tops, Flat Bottoms, and Rubber Band Reversal Setups. // Trading Strategies Learning risk management, proper stock selection, and chart patterns is important, but those alone don’t create a trading strategy. A trading strategy requires details on the time of day you take these trades, what type of stocks you like to trade, what percentage to success you expect. All our students are required to papertrade and prove to me that they can trade on a percentage of success that is high enough to justify real trading. If you can’t make money in a demo account, you have no business trading a real account. We have saved students hundreds of thousands of dollars by encouraging paper trading while they are learning. The market will be here for a long time to come. The important thing for you right now is to build up the skills to trade the market successfully. You will learn that once you possess the skills to consistently make $20.00/day all it takes to make $200 is larger share size. Then all it takes to make $2000 is again, larger share size. The hardest part is being consistently green just $20/day. So that is our initial target for all of our students. Profitable trading 4/5 days per week for at least 3 months. Business English Vocabulary: The Stock Market

13:38
http://www.engvid.com Learn business English vocabulary: Whether you are investing in a bull or a bear market, you should know the common terms and expressions that stock brokers and mutual fund managers will use to discuss your options. In this lesson, we will go over some of the more common terms you will need to familiarize yourself with if you want to become rich. Playing the stock market is a risky business, so be prepared! http://www.engvid.com/business-english-vocabulary-stock-market/ TRANSCRIPT Hi again. I'm Adam. Welcome back to www.engvid.com. Today we're going to look at some business English, with an introduction to investing. Now, what is investing? Investing is putting your money someplace with the hope that more money will come back to you later. Okay? So it's making money over time. Many ways to do it, but today we're going to look more specifically at the stock market. Now, before we begin to look at the stock market, we need to know all the different words that you will find in the stock market discussion. Of course, we have to look at "stocks". So: "stocks" and "shares". Now, many people get confused: what is a stock? What is a share? Realistically, these are basically the same thing, but subtle differences between the two. So, when a company decides that it wants to make money, so it can expand its business, it wants to raise capital. "Capital", it's a big word, there's lots of meanings to it. We're going to look at that a different time. But for our case, "capital" means money. They want to make money, they want to raise capital so they can grow their business. So what they do is they sell stock. Stock is a partial ownership of the company. So when you buy stock, you get a piece of paper, you get a certificate that says that you own part of this company. And because you own part of the company, you have certain rights. You can make... You can vote for changes, you can vote for things that the company should do. Now, what is a share? A share is an equal piece of the stock. So, for example, a company sells $100 worth of stock. That's the full amount of the ownership that the company makes available to the public. Now, this stock, this total amount, they divide into 100 shares. Okay? So you buy as many shares as you want of this stock. So because you have 100 shares, the full stock is $100. Each share is, of course, $1. You buy 10 shares, that mean... That means you're buying 10% of the available stock. You're buying $10 worth of shares. Now, you own stock, you own shares in the company. In that case, it's the same thing. Now, when you talk about stocks, you can say: "I own stocks." So let's go to this word quickly: "portfolio". Your portfolio is the collection of your investments. You may have stocks, you may have mutual funds, you may have bonds, you may have commodities, you may have real estate. You may have all kinds of different investments. If part of your portfolio is stocks, you say: "I have some stocks." It means I can have five company's stocks. But when you say: "I have shares", then you have shares of a company. Okay? I have stocks in 10 different companies. I have shares... I have 10% or I have 100 shares in this company, I have 50 shares in that company, I have 2,000 shares in that company. But all together, you have stock. Okay? So it's a total amount of the companies that you own. Now, if you want to buy stocks or trade stocks, if you want to buy and sell your shares, you can contact a "stockbroker". Okay? A broker is somebody who deals with trades; buys, sells stocks on the stock market. These days, you can just go online and find a "brokerage" which is a website or a company that lets you buy and sell your own stocks and shares. Okay. Next: we have "IPO", this is "Initial Public Offering". Sorry I'm a little bit off line, here. When a company decides: "Okay, we need to make more money. We need to raise capital. We need to sell some stock of our company." So the first time that they sell this stock, there's a big event, you know, like it's a big promotion, they have to market it, they have to tell the public: "Look, we're going to sell stock. Get ready." This is the initial public offering. The first time that they sell stock. We actually don't say: "Sell". They don't sell stock; they issue stock. And then the stock brokerage or the stockbrokers, they buy and sell the stock. Next: "ROI". This is a very important thing to consider. "Return On Investment". Before you buy anything, before you invest your money in anything, you always have to consider your ROI. How much money do you hope to get back? How much money do you think you will get back? Because at the end of the day, a stock market is a gamble. There's high-risk and there's low-risk companies. Your return on investment, obviously, you're hoping to make money. You hope to get a positive yield.

Units/Lots | Trading Terms

08:45
Trading units (aka lots, aka position size) is one of those trading terms that seem simple but can be quite confusing for someone who’s just come into the trading world. The reason behind this is that different types of trading require different terminology to describe them. Forex and stocks have different predefined sizes for trading and switching between the two can cause some ambiguity. Trading expert David Jones is on deck to break down the explanation of what lots and units are to their smallest parts and make it simple for everyone who’s struggled with them. At Trading 212 we provide an execution only service. This video should not be construed as investment advice. Investments can fall and rise. Capital at risk. CFDs are higher risk because of leverage.

What is FOB - Free On Board?

01:54
Welcome to the Investors Trading Academy talking glossary of financial terms and events. Our word of the day is “FOB - Free On Board” The FOB abbreviation is an import/export term relating to the point at which responsibility for goods passes from seller – the exporter to buyer or importer. It's in this listing because it's commonly misunderstood and also has potentially significant financial implications. FOB meant originally that the seller is liable for the goods and is responsible for all costs of transport, insurance, etc., until and including the goods being loaded at the port. Logically FOB also meant and still means that the seller is liable for any loss or damage up to the point that the goods are loaded onto the vessel at the FOB port, and that thereafter the buyer assumes responsibility for the goods and the costs of transport and the liability. From the seller's point of view an FOB price must therefore include his costs of transport from factory or warehouse, insurance and loading, because the seller is unable to charge these costs as extras once the FOB price has been stated. The FOB expression originates particularly from the meaning that the buyer is free of liability and costs of transport up to the point that the goods are loaded on board the ship slightly different ways, even to the extent that other interpretations are placed on the acronym, most commonly 'Freight On Board ‘While liability and responsibility for goods passes from seller to buyer at the point that goods are agreed to be FOB, the FOB principle does not correlate to payment terms, which is a matter for separate negotiation. FOB is a mechanism for agreeing price and transport responsibility, not for agreeing payment terms. By Barry Norman, Investors Trading Academy

03 - What is a pip? - easyMarkets - Education

04:42
For more info visit: Easy Forex - http://www.easy-forex.com/gtw/6255274.aspx In order to trade successfully you need to understand what a pip is and how to calculate its value. A pip stands for "percentage in point" and is the smallest price change that a given exchange rate can make An increase or decrease in pips represents a profit or a loss in your forex trade. Let me explain further! When currencies are quoted, they are mainly quoted to the fourth decimal place (this is also true for silver and heating oil). Exceptions are pairs that include the Japanese yen (as well as commodities such as gold, oil, brent and gas), which are quoted to two decimal places. When we look at the EUR/USD pair and see it move from 1.3130 to 1.3131 it has moved 1 pip (because the fourth decimal point has increased by 1). A one pip move for the USD/JPY we can see as 77.60 to 77.61 (because the second decimal point has increased by 1). In major pairs quoted against the USD, we calculate the value of a pip as follows: The EUR/USD has an exchange rate of 1.3130. If 1 pip equals 0.0001, we divide 0.0001 by 1.3130 which gives us a pip value of €0.0000761. Let's turn this into a forex deal to see what the pip would represent in either a profit or loss. Deal 1: Sell €100,000 worth of EUR/USD, at 1.3130. Pip value in euro terms is 0.0000761 x 100,000 = €7.61 (or exactly $10!). If the deal is closed at 1.3120, with a 10 pip profit, the total profit would be €76.10, or $100. Deal 2: Buy $50,000 worth of USD/JPY, at 77.60. Pip value in dollar terms is 0.01/77.60 x 50,000 = $6.44 (or exactly ¥500!). If the deal is closed at 77.50, with a 10 pip loss, the total loss would be $64.43, or ¥5,000. It is our commitment to provide our traders with access to the best fixed spreads and execution methods, and this is why you may at times notice additional smaller numbers at the end of a currency rate. These numbers are referred to as "Fractional pips" and are a new pricing feature which lets you see more price action detail and helps you make more informed trading decisions. A fractional pip is a tenth of a pip and the addition of this feature to your account allows you to take advantage of smaller price increments and moves in the market. Instead of quoting prices to two or four decimals, with fractional pips we quote an extra digit. For example, normally EURUSD ask would be quoted as 1.3251, while with fractional pips we quote 1.32508, with the last smaller digit representing the fractional pip. Earlier we mentioned deals of 100,000 euros and 50,000 dollars which may have seemed quite large, especially if you are new to trading, but this is where an important factor comes in - the use of leverage. Leverage basically means you can trade larger amounts than your initial investment. View our video "What is leverage?" to find out how it is used in the forex market. International Commercial (INCO) Terms used in International Trade

07:11
The shipment of an export item from the seller's warehouse to the buyer involves various steps including packing, loading, domestic inland transport, terminal port's charges, loading on to the ship/flight, Insurance & Freight charges, arrival charges, Duties and taxes and finally the delivery to the buyer. While the buyer would definitely pay for the export item, there might be confusion about who would pay for the additional costs ? This is determined by the International Commercial(INCO) terms which the buyer and seller agree to. These INCO terms are discussed in this video. This video is developed by the Office of the Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Bengaluru as part of an initiative under the Niryat Bandhu Scheme of Government of India. We are looking for stocks that we expect will move in a predictable direction. We want to take a position with a predefined stop level and profit target. Sounds easy right? In a lot of ways it is. But there are literally thousands of different strategies for trading the market. Every trader has a unique approach to trading. Our goal is to teach you our strategies. I have developed a series of profitable trading strategies for beginners. Understanding Long and Short Terms in Stock Market Trading

03:58
These terms are more efficient than terms like "buy" and "sell" because they tell your position--your mindset on a particular stock or on the industry. Long: -Positive on the market -You can also be "long" on a particular stock: If you are long Nike, you're expecting it to go up Short: -Negative on the market -You can also be "short" on a particular stock: If you are short Nike, you're expecting it to go down -Selling with the intention to buy the shares back at a lower price Benefits of using "Long"/"Short" vs. "Buy"/"Sell": -If you have 1,000 shares of Nike and you tell someone you sold 500 shares, they could assume you think Nike is going to go down even though you are still positive 500 shares. -If you think a certain stock will go down and you decide to sell all 1,000 shares and later purchase 300 shares, and you tell someone that you bought the 300 shares, it is not clear that you are still negative 700 shares. They may not understand that you think Nike will go down. -"Long" and "short" remove the ambiguity associated with the terms "buy" and "sell." ★ SUBSCRIBE TO MY YOUTUBE: ★ http://bit.ly/addtradersfly ★ ABOUT TRADERSFLY ★ TradersFly is a place where I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience about the stock market, trading, and investing. What Is Leverage? Forex Leverage Explained - Forex Trading

03:25
http://goo.gl/bRKoqt - Click Link To Open A Free eToro Forex Account. https://www.casinoeurope.club - Best Online Casinos For The Europe Market. What is leverage in Forex trading? Traders in Forex trade a contract of currency exchange rates. As the movement of currency rates can be very small, traders use leverage to increase their profit potential. Here is a step-by-step, practical example: You decide to open a contract for trade and it has these elements in it: The currency pair for trading -- e.g. EUR/USD The direction of the trade -- BUY euro and SELL US dollars The price -- say 1.3500 The contract value -- EUR 100,000 As the trader, you purchase this contract, believing you will profit once you close (offset) the contract. If you are right (for example: the rate increased to 1.3600), then you would profit: for every euro in this contract you made profit of 1 US cent. In total, the profit would be $1,000 (100,000 x 1 cent). However, do you need ALL the EUR 100,000 to open this contract? The answer is: NO. You can LEVERAGE the trading: the trader is required to risk, for example, only 1:100 of the contract value. Accordingly, for a contract of 100,000 only $1,000 is needed. However, if there was loss, and the value of the WHOLE contact dropped to 99,000, then the deal is automatically closed, since the "guarantee" made by the trader was only $1,000. With leverage, you have more money to use for trading than the balance in your account because you can 'leverage" what you do have -- that means you use what you have to increase the amount you can trade and to increase your profit when you succeed in trading in the right direction of a currency pair. On the other side, when there is a loss: the higher the leverage, the quicker you are subject to automatic closure of your deal. source: easy-forex http://www.pipsandspreads.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OVn8fAMAh6U

Stock Trading Terms 102

04:06
http://profitabletradingtips.com/day-trading/stock-trading-terms-102 Stock Trading Terms 102 In our introductory article, Stock Trading Terms 101, we talked about general terms that have to do with the stock market and trading stocks. Today we will look at gaining perspective and moving average as a route to successful stock trading. In Stock Trading Terms 101 we briefly mentioned bull and bear markets and noted that there are three distinct types of trends based on length. A secular trend lasts more than five years. A primary trend lasts for more than a year but less than five. A trend that lasts for a few weeks or months but less than a year is called a secondary trend. At issue for someone who is trading in the trenches, so to speak, is not that he knows the definitions of these terms but that he uses these stock trading terms and underlying concepts to gain perspective. Price versus Market Average Often times we look at a stock chart and think that it is displaying random numbers. The price of the stock jumps up and it jumps down. There are ways to make sense of what can look like a random jumble of numbers on a stock chart. That is to use a moving average. The stock trading term in this case is the 52 week moving average. A 52 week moving average tells you where a stock is headed over time despite sometimes confusing daily fluctuations. The moving average helps traders who engage in range trading by helping define the likely limits to stock price within a given range. Calculate a 52 week moving average: Take a sum of the middle price for each day of trading for each trading day for the last fifty-two weeks. Then divide this number by the number of days of trading. Because this is a moving average you need to calculate this for every day by removing the earliest day and adding the previous day. What is the use of stock trading terms such as a 52 week moving average? A stock trader superimposes the moving average for the last 52 weeks on the same chart as daily stock prices. When the current trading range lies above the average he considers the average line to be a support level below which prices are unlikely to drop. When the current trading range lies below the average he considers this average to be a resistance level above which the price of the stock is unlikely to rise. This is a technical analysis technique that can be effective even when the trader does not consult the fundamentals that are at the base of market prices. Rather this method helps the trader tap into market sentiment and exploit market inefficiencies. Moving Average and Trends If a market is in a long term secular upward trend, prices will likely continue to climb month by month and year by year. However, there are commonly secondary trends within a long term trend and they may tend to take the market down. By looking at moving average for the last two or three years, the last year, and the last month, a trader can get a clear idea as to whether the market is overpriced or underpriced. He then takes a contrarian approach to trading and uses the moving average to help him buy, sell short, or trade options in order to profit from a coming market correction. http://youtu.be/seAX00on5NY

But there are literally thousands of different strategies for trading the market. Every trader has a unique approach to trading. Our goal is to teach you our strategies. I have developed a series of profitable trading strategies for beginners. All our students are required to paper trade and prove to me that they can trade on a percentage of success that is high enough to justify real trading. What is short selling? Join our March Trading Contest for your chance at over $8000 in prizes: https://app.wallstreetsurvivor.com/registerto/MarchMarketMoversReport?utm_source=MarketMoversReport&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=MarchContest Most people think of investing as buying a stock (or other asset) and making money when its price goes up - but it’s also possible to make a profit when a stock price goes down. This process is called short selling (or shorting). Short selling isn’t all peaches and cream. There are opportunities for high returns, but as usual, these come with high risks. The big risk here is that there is no limit to your losses. When you buy a stock, you can only lose the amount that you invested. But when you short, your losses are infinite because there is theoretically no end to how high a stock’s price can rise. Short selling isn’t for everyone. It requires a lot of time and research, and a desire for high risks and high returns. Short selling is primarily used for speculator looking to make a profit when the market goes down or investing looking to hedge their position. How to Trade Penny Stocks (Beginner Strategies): Class 1 of 4

27:29
Learning how to trade penny stocks made me a self made millionaire by the age of 30. Now I've taught thousands of traders how trade the same strategies and create wealth for themselves. I was first introduced to trading penny stocks when a friend in high school made tens of thousands of dollars day trading penny stocks over summer break. This would have been around 1999/2000 and at the time trading online with TD Ameritrade was still a new concept. I always knew there was potential to make money in the stock market with a small account but I didn't know how. I decided to open my own account but I was trading stocks like CAT, IBM, and AAPL. With my $1k account I made about $17 dollars. I was investing in the wrong stocks for big percentage growth. In order to grow a small amount of money ($500.00), we need to trade stocks that could double or triple in less than week! That'll never happen with FB or NFLX, but it can happen when you're trading penny stocks!
