We’re talking about going number one! By examining the color of your urine, you can see whether your body is doing alright or if you need to go to the doctors. If you excluded these foods, and you know that you’re drinking lots water, but the color doesn’t go away, you guessed it: contact your doctor. Brown urine indicates problems with your liver and kidneys. - Having foamy urine from time to time is normal. It’s usually caused by the speed of urination. If it’s foamy after you’ve just shot that stuff out of you like a jet sprayer, don’t sweat it! But if it keeps coming back, and you notice it more and more often over time, who are you gonna call? The doctor! - If your urine is transparent, it’s a sign that you’re drinking too much water. Yes, too much is just as bad as too little! Drinking too much water can lead to certain risks, the most important of which is diluting the salts in your body. This can create a problematic chemical imbalance. - Ideally, your urine should be a pale gold color. If you are lucky enough to have the perfectly-colored pee, it means that you’re not under- or over-hydrated. You drink just as much water as you need. Good for you! The main reason is the activity of your autonomic nervous system, which controls your fight-or-flight response. - Every time you express your feelings of love and affection to your partner, your cholesterol levels go down. This conclusion was drawn in a study published in the journal Human Communication Research. - Toxic shame, which typically comes from the past, causes overproduction of the primary stress hormone: cortisol. I Drank a Glass of Wine Every Day, See What Happened to Me

Studies have shown that drinking a glass of wine every day is incredibly beneficial for your system: it removes toxins from your body and improves your brain function. We decided to find out whether these statements are true by having one glass of wine a day for a whole month. The experiment started out great: I felt super sophisticated having my evening wine in front of the TV. But on Day 3, the alcohol started messing with my sleep cycle. I started craving water during these little bedtime disruptions. In fact, this crazy nighttime thirst became so frequent that I would keep a glass of water on my night stand. One of the best things that happened during the experiment was a change in how I “partied” with my friends. I would invite people over for a glass of wine, and those who were game, showed up. In the middle of Week 2 of the experiment, my appearance had changed. Unfortunately, it wasn’t for the better. A weight gain and dark circle under my eyes and breakouts – it wasn’t something I wanted to get. I checked my blood pressure every day, and I can say with confidence that alcohol didn't change a thing in that respect. My health was perfectly fine. But by the end of the experiment, I started having trouble concentrating, and I felt weak and tired most of the time. For one, drinking at home from time to time definitely has its perks. Getting rid of unnecessary get-togethers is also a big reward from this experiment. It helped me figure out who I want to spend my time with and who I don’t mind seeing less often. Plus, I got so interested in the whole culture of drinking wine and eating cheese. On the downside, I can't agree with scientists on this one. In my opinion, drinking wine on a daily basis does no good for your health, even if it's just one glass. There's a flag on the play so hold the phone. When we look at a lot of fasting studies, we find that most of them look at longer term fasts, long duration fasts, 24 hours, 26 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours. But what about shorter term fasts? I'm talking about the shorter term fasts that are applied in intermittent fasting, which we're always talking about, and a lot of you know me as the intermittent fasting guy, so let's truly talk about intermittent fasting. Let's talk about some of the research that's now coming out as intermittent fasting gains popularity. We're talking about the intermittent fasting that's 16 hours of fasting and eight hours of eating on a more frequent basis versus longer term fasts on an infrequent basis. I'm gonna give you two really awesome modern studies that are looking at this because the studies are really starting to go that way since it's gaining so much popularity so we have to look at it. Now, first and foremost, if you haven't already, please, please, please hit that subscribe button and make sure you turn on notifications so you can see whenever I post videos. I post videos big and small, ranging from complex topics down to basic topics that you can share with your friends and family. Let's get to it. This first study was really interesting. It took a look at a 16-hour fasting period and and eight-hour eating period of time-restricted eating, also known as intermittent fasting. The whole goal of this process, the whole goal of this study, which was published in the "Journal of Translational Medicine," was to take a look at the body response in terms of metabolic response, in terms of body composition, in terms of maximum strength, in terms of lipid profile, and in terms of inflammation. They really wanted to take a well-rounded look at individuals and what happened after they would go through a shorter fast versus being on a traditional three square meals a day, eating throughout the day, diet. What they did is they took 34 men. They divided these men into two groups. They divided into a group that, of course, did a 16-hour fast and an eight-hour eating window where they ate at 1:00 p.m., at 4:00 p.m., and at 8:00 p.m. every day for eight weeks. Then they took the other half of the group and they put them into a traditional eating pattern where they ate at 8:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. for that same period of eight weeks. Now, they had them literally eat the exact same amount of calories. They had them eat the exact same macronutrient breakdown, and they even had them train the exact same way. You see, both of these groups, they took men that had had five years of resistance training experience. That way, muscle density and muscle maturity, training intensity, was all roughly the same. When they put them through any of their workouts, they had them supervised. They had them supervised so that the intensity was the exact same. Both groups did three times per week resistance training in the six to eight repetition range, doing compound movements, which means they did things like bench press, they did things like squat, like leg press, the exact same workouts between the two. That's all that matters. The other thing that was interesting is that they had both of these groups train between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.. They even had the time of day that they trained down to a science. They were like, "Nope, you're only gonna train during this time. That way we keep this totally controlled and unbiased." Well, get ready for the results, 'cause this is fascinating. In a 2009 issue of HARVARD MEN’S HEALTH WATCH, walking was reported as extremely underrated. So to prove that hypothesis, scientists went through over 4,200 articles that had been published on walking between 1997-2007. Eighteen of the articles they found met their standards for quality. Each of the studies collected information of each of the participant’s walking habits and their cardiovascular risk habits which included age, alcohol use, and smoking. Each participant was followed for 11 years, and during those years, cardiovascular events and deaths were recorded. When the data was compiled at the end of the 11 years, scientists found that walking 2.5 hours a week (21 minutes a day) reduced cardiovascular events by 31% and cut out the risk of early death by 32%. That's a lot of numbers being thrown at you we know, but the point is this : walk more and your heart will thank you. 2) Battles Obesity. Every individual contains weight-promoting genes, according to the HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL. One of the easiest ways to battle obesity is to try and cut those weight-promoting genes in half. So to determine how to do this, HARVARD researchers looked at 32 obesity-promoting genes in over 12,000 people. They found that participants who walked for about an hour a day cut the weight-promoting genes in half. In addition, there is a pair of studies from the UNIVERSITY OF EXTER that found that walking 15 minutes can also help curb sweet tooth cravings, which plays a significant part in obesity. So it turns out that getting out and walking around makes you less fat, who would have thunk it? Michelle Obama, eat your heart out. 3) Lowers Blood Pressure. If you have high blood pressure, a nice calming walk may be just what you need. Researchers from ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY would agree. They conducted a study on the association between walking and lower blood pressure, and they found that just 10 minutes of walking per day was effective in helping lower blood pressure. If you were to walk 15-20 minutes, you’re increasing your odds even more of reducing your blood pressure. Other health benefits of walking can be weight loss and the feeling that you're getting some good exercise. And everyone knows exercise is the best, right viewers? 4) Boost Memory. It’s evident that exercise is great for the brain and for your health since serotonin binds with the brain’s receptors. But walking can help boost the memory, according to a 2011 study published by THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES. The study found that participants who would walk 40 minutes a week, which could be stretched out to three to four times per week, has the potential to increase hippocampus activity by 2%, which is significant. 5) Eases Joint Pain. Physical therapist ERIC ROBERTSON told WebMD that for osteoarthritis (OA), the cartilage acts as a shock absorber, especially in your knees, and can become damaged or worn down. 6) Curb Stress Eating. LYNDI COHEN, of the Nude Nutritionists, explained to the Daily Mail that going for a walk is the simplest thing to do in order to combat stress eating. 7) Boosts Metabolism. Speaking of curbing eating, walking every now and again is great for your metabolism. Think about it, the more you exercise, the more you burn energy. 8) Stronger Legs. Can you eat just one meal a day? The human body can survive without a bite of food for up to 3 weeks. Of course, it’s a different story with water; you wouldn’t last more than 3 or 4 days without it! You and I both know that people are expected to eat 3 full meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Depending on how filling those meals are, you may squeeze in a few snacks here and there. It usually takes about 4 hours after each meal for your belly to start making those too-often-than-not embarrassingly monstrous growls, reminding you that it’s time for your next meal! But with different diets and fasting gaining popularity, I couldn’t help but wonder what would happen to my body if I ate just one meal every day for 30 days. I did it, and here’s what I got out of it! There aren’t too many strict guidelines to this diet. You can essentially eat any foods you want and as much as you want, as long as it’s during your one singular meal of the day. - Unlike a lot of other diets, there are no special ingredients involved and no annoying calorie counting. If you want French fries, have French fries! If you’re craving a big bowl of spaghetti, go for it! - If weight loss is a goal of yours, it’s important not to overeat during your one meal since it can disrupt the diet’s ability to help you maintain a steady drop in pounds. - After trying it for a couple of days, I found that my body quickly adjusted to this way of eating, and my appetite really wasn’t that raging. This must be because my stomach probably shrank after a few days, so I felt satisfied with just one meal a day. - For the first couple days, my stomach was definitely feeling hunger pangs. It started with stomach growls and ended with painful cramping. - For the first week, I just wanted to lie on the couch and Netflix and chill all day long. My energy was super low, and I felt so lethargic. - After the 30 days, I found that I’d actually dropped a few pounds! I felt pretty awesome not only because I’d gotten leaner and felt healthier, but I was also really proud of myself for sticking to a diet that I easily could’ve given up on. - One of the main concerns I found online was the fact that women and men respond differently to this type of intermittent fasting. Women have a stronger need for iron in their diet. - I also read up on different studies. One of them was conducted in 2017 by researchers at the University of Saskatchewan. They found that the one meal a day diet can be helpful for people suffering from type 2 diabetes since it helps with weight loss and reducing blood sugar levels. - Other studies have shown that it can really help increase the lifespan in people with obesity. - It just a super specific thing that each person should check with their doctor to see if they can do it safely. A lot of people swear by it, and I’m happy with the weight loss results I got. You’d be right. That said, getting abs still remains rather elusive to many and certainly being able to maintain them year round is even harder. Not any more. In this video, I show you a 5 step plan for how to get a 6 pack that you can use to start getting your abs to show fast. Despite the fact that many are aware of the importance of proper nutrition when it comes to getting abs, it is still a mighty struggle to get them. It usually comes down to the methods those people are using to try and get them in the first place. Crash diet plans and temporary deprivation based tactics are not going to cut it long term if you want to get and keep your abs. Anything that forces you to feel as if you’re missing out or be deprived of what you really want is only going to be a temporary solution at best. As soon as you get tired of not having what you want, you’ll quickly give in and lose your ability to keep your hard earned abs. That said, the 5 step formula for getting a 6 pack starts with cutting out the obvious crap foods from your diet. You should know pretty quickly what these are. It’s the cakes, sweets, alcohol, fatty salad dressings, etc that just scream problems the minute you eat them. You know what they are and that means you know they should be gone, so do it. There’s never been a better time than now to start making the changes that are going to dramatically help you in your pursuit of your abs. Next step is to start eating more often. Yep, despite what keyboard scientists who read a few articles on google scholar want you to believe, there are far more important reasons to be eating more frequently throughout the day than whether or not this is maximally anabolic. I cover these for you in the video. Next up, you’re going to want to take another pass through that diet of yours. On this second time through, you’re going to want to remove the less obvious items that aren’t helping you as best they can to get your 6 pack abs. For me, I lay out three perfect examples. I thought these foods were healthy but I was only partially right. How they were being prepared was making all the difference in me seeing my abs consistently…or not. Moving on, you now want to eat more of the good foods you swapped in. This helps you to maintain and continue to build new muscle. Too often, people who take out the offending foods will free up many calories in their diet. If you don’t replace them with good foods you’ll likely wind up not supporting your muscle growth and be skinny without enough muscle mass. Finally, where the etching in of those abs can happen, supplementation. Use high quality supplements to fine tune your efforts and really take your results to the next level.
