Customize Settings Using AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk for Android Devices
Welcome to our AT&T How-To videos.
Today we will show you how to Customize Settings in AT&T Enhanced Push-to-Talk for Android Devices.
From the application's Home tab, tap or press the phone's Menu key, and then tap Settings.
Please Note: Changes made to Enhanced Push-to-Talk settings only apply to the application.
• To change checked (or Enabled) settings, tap the checkbox to unselect.
• To change unchecked (or Disabled) settings, tap the checkbox to select.
• Tap down arrows to customize settings with multiple options.
Let's look at the different setting types, and their default settings:
Alerts and Sounds:
"Bluetooth", "Vibrate Alert", "Audible Alert", and "Speaker status" are all enabled by default for Enhanced Push-to-Talk. To change a setting, tap its checkbox.
"Alert Repeat" defaults to once. To change the number of alert repetitions, tap the down arrow, and then tap a radio button to select "Once", "Repeat", or "Continuous".
"Privacy Mode" defaults to 'Earpiece'. To change this setting, tap the down arrow, and then tap 'Mute'.
"Instant Personal Alert", "Missed Call Alert", and "Call Reconnect Tone" are all enabled by default. To change a setting, tap its checkbox.
"Show Avatar" defaults to disabled. To enable avatar display, tap the checkbox.
"Contact/Group Color" defaults to enabled.
"Contact Sorting" defaults to Alphabetical order. To change this setting, tap the down arrow, and then tap 'By Availability'."
"Display Name" defaults to ATT. To set your own, tap the down arrow, type your desired display name and then tap OK.
"Capacity" and "About": To display additional information about the Enhanced Push-to-Talk application and its remaining capacity for contact and group entries, tap the down arrow to view, and then tap the "X" to return.
"Show Tutorial" To view, simply tap the down arrow to launch the Enhanced Push-to-Talk tutorial in the browser.
"Restore Default Settings" To restore all Enhanced Push-to-Talk settings to default, tap Restore and then tap Yes to confirm.
"Logout" To log out of the Enhanced Push-to-Talk application, tap the down arrow, and then tap Yes to confirm.
"Auto Start" (defaults to enabled); to disable, tap the checkbox.
When you are done, tap or press the phone's Back button to return to the Home tab.
