The Truth about High School Exchange to Japan
Before I went to Japan, more people than I can count told me that it was going to be "the best time of my life". Well, guess what, it wasn't! And that's okay. I think many people (like myself) have rather wrong expectations when it comes to moving to another country, so here are some things I learned from the whole experience! ❤ Go on exchange to Japan (Geman-speaking countries only): https://www.intrax.de/kurzbewerbung-high-school?ixid=I-1151450 Ich habe meinen Schüleraustausch nach Japan 2015 mit Ayusa Intrax gemacht und tolle Erfahrungen sammeln können. Wenn ihr auch gerne einen Schüleraustausch machen möchtet, könnt ihr euch über den Link oben anmelden. Ich erhalte für jeden, der seinen Schüleraustausch über diesen Link bucht, eine kleine Provision von Ayusa. 😊 ❤ INSTAGRAM: sophierebi (https://www.instagram.com/sophierebi/) ❤ TWITTER: @sophierebi (https://twitter.com/sophierebi) ❤ FACEBOOK: Komorebi Cosplay (https://www.facebook.com/komorebicosplay/) ❤ MY GERMAN BLOG: https://sophiegoesjapan.wordpress.com/ ❤ CONTACT: [email protected]

A day in a Japanese High School // japan vlog #1
Hi everyone! In this vlog, I'll show you what going to high school in Japan as an exchange student is like! I hope you'll like it ♡ - So ☆About me: My name is Sofía and I’m an exchange student in Japan. *FAQ* •Where do you come from? I was born in Mexico and I live in Canada. •How old are you? 17 •How did you learn to speak Japanese? For how long have you been learning it? I’ve been learning Japanese on my own on and off since 2015. I learn it by studying out of Japanese-learning textbooks and watching educational YouTube videos. I guess I could say I’m a beginner - intermediate, but I’m constantly learning and practicing to improve my Japanese. •How did you go on exchange? I’m on exchange through an exchange program called Rotary. •For how long will you be staying in Japan? I’ll be on exchange here for 11 months. •What grade are you in? I was placed in 二年 (second grade) in my Japanese high school. •Are all classes only in Japanese? Yes. •How far do you live from school? It takes me about 20 minutes to get to school by train. ~follow me~ ig: @sofi.jp ●music used in this video● Sparks by Chaël https://soundcloud.com/chael_music Creative Commons — Attribution 3.0 Unported — CC BY 3.0 http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b... Tell Me About Yourself - Good Answer To This Tough Interview Question
How to perfectly answer the "tell me about yourself" job interview question. For more in depth information, check out this article on our blog: https://theinterviewguys.com/tell-me-about-yourself-interview-question Most people screw the "Tell us about yourself" type job interview question up so watch our video to learn exactly what you need to do. Here's what you can expect from this Jeff and Mike Job interview tips video: This video uncovers 3 specific job interview tips when it comes to answering this tough interview question. The problem with the Tell me about yourself question is that it leaves things incredibly open ended and can lead job interviewees down a path that can lead to them being disqualified from the job within seconds! It's no surprise so many people are always trying to figure just how they should be answering this question, after all it's one of the most common opening questions you'll face at an interview. I know both Mike and I screwed up this question for years. As you'll see in the video, the interviewer doesn't care about your personal story. They're not interested in the fact that you grew up with a puppy named "Tex" and that you grew up in a sleepy town in Wisconsin... They want to know about your specific work achievements and strengths! Job interview questions are all about discovering whether you can bring to the position, exactly what they're looking for in terms of abilities and qualities. Ones that are going to benefit the company you are interviewing with. Here are some excerpts from the video: Jeff's bad answer: "Well, I'm from Seattle, Washington, I enjoy mountain biking and cooking and my favorite color is..." Jeff's good answer: Well, I've been in sales for the last 5 years. My most recent experience was in the retail industry, where I was a manager at the Comfy Shoe Company. I was personally responsible for a 30% increase in sales over the last year. I'd say that my main strength is my leadership ability, which was evident in the way I mentored my sales team to reach our lofty goals. What I am looking for is a company that values teamwork and the group dynamic, where I can join a strong team and have a positive impact on the team dynamic and sales revenue. 3 Tips to answering the Tell Me About Yourself question: MIKE There are three main points that you need to remember when answering this question...what's the first one Jeff? JEFF Well, as you saw in my bad answer, you absolutely DO NOT want to go on and on about your personal life or hobbies and interests. MIKE Which leads me to point number two. You want to include specific work achievements from your past in your answer. But there's one final trick right Jeff? JEFF That's right Mike. It is always a good idea to mention your strengths and abilities in your answer. Please leave your comments below, share this video with your friends on Facebook and Twitter, and don't forget... As we talk about in the video, if you want to give perfect answers to interview questions that will get you the job....You need to tailor each answer to exactly what the company is looking for. This is the method that the top job seekers in the world use. It's also helped Mike and I get offers from one job interview after another. There's a bit more to "Tailoring" than I can go into in this description or in the video but we've written a brand new special report that explains this incredibly powerful job interview method. The next thing you need to do if you want to get a job from your next interview is read this report immediately... You can get it for free by clicking the link at the end of the video. Thanks, Jeff & Mike "The Interview Guys"

What is STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM? What does STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM mean? STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM meaning - STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM definition - STUDENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. A student exchange program is a program in which students from a secondary school or university study abroad at one of their institution's partner institutions. A student exchange program may involve international travel, but does not necessarily require the student to study outside of his or her home country. For example, the National Student Exchange program (NSE) offers placements throughout the United States and Canada. Foreign exchange programs provides students with an opportunity to study in a different country and environment experiencing the history and culture of another country. The term "exchange" means that a partner institution accepts a student, but does not necessarily mean that the students have to find a counterpart from the other institution with whom to exchange. Exchange students live with a host family or in a designated place such as a hostel, an apartment, or a student lodging. Costs for the program vary by the country and institution. Participants fund their participation via scholarships, loans, or self-funding. Student exchanges became popular after World War II, and are intended to increase the participants' understanding and tolerance of other cultures, as well as improving their language skills and broadening their social horizons. Student exchanges also increased further after the end of the Cold War. An exchange student typically stays in the host country for a period of 6 to 10 months. International students or those on study abroad programs may stay in the host country for several years. Some exchange programs also offer academic credit.

The Perks of Studying Abroad in High School
Watch more and discuss: http://norwalk.itsrelevant.com/content/20860/perks-of-studying-abroad-in-high-school Hundreds of thousands of students study abroad each year and a growing number are in high school. "You get to learn a different language, you can make friends, you can just experience something you wouldn't do here because you're taking a risk," said one student. Nineteen-year-old Anthony Garcia studied abroad not once but twice. Most recently he studied for an entire year in South Korea. He's just one of many here in Connecticut taking advantage of these opportunities. "The way that we live is not the way other people live," said Roz McCarthy. Roz McCarthy leads the Center for Global Studies, an international magnet school based out of Norwalk's Brian McMahon High School. Last night, the school hosted an international fair, bringing to light the international camps, study tours and exchange programs available today. "It's really hard to find out. You want to do a program, but you don't know where to start," she said. One program on display is a two week trip to Japan, known as JET-MIP. Students in the program travel to the Tohuku region, an area devastated by the Tsunami. Gwyneth Nicolo is one of thirty-two students who recently returned, and here's why she's telling others to apply. "You meet new people, get new experiences, see the world - not as you heard about them. See if for your own eyes," she said. You can learn more about the Center for Global Studies by going to center global studies dot org. Produced By: Diana Blass

Let's Go to German High School | CBYX Germany Exchange Vlog (Week 11)
Follow my CBYX adventures getting ready for my first week as an American Exchange student in "German High School" (Gymnasium) in a town called Herzogenaurach in the German state of Bavaria. What did I learn from this experience, you might ask? Where do I begin! First things first, there is no such thing as German "high school". You see, the education system in Germany is very different from that of our system in America. After what would be our Elementary school (Called Grundschule in Germany) German students have the choice between three different academic institutional to continue their education: Haubtshule/Mittelschule, Realschule, and Gymnasium. For more information on the German School system you can check out this webpage.
