Unity Tutorial | Infinite Tile World [Episode 3]: Loading Sprites From Resources
How to make an infinite tile world in Unity. In this video, we make it so tile sprites are no longer hard coded. Instead, there is a script that loads the sprites from the Resources folder, and it allows you to pass in the type of tile in order to receive the corresponding sprite. Also, we add functions to world that allow us to find tiles and chunks at different positions.

RPG Maker MV - How to add Resources to your game
This is a short little video on how to add resources to your game project. It is a very simple drag and drop process and works for all resources. If you're familiar with how to drag and drop stuff in windows, you already know how to do it. No longer is the Resource Manager needed. However, you do have to go into the database to select the tilesets, characters, bgms, etc you want to use after adding then to your project. Unity Asset - Sprite Atlas Selector - Atlas Creation
Sprite Atlas Selector Unity Asset https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/#!/content/98448 NB: Must have Unity 2017 for this to work With the release of the NEW Sprite Atlas feature in Unity 2017, things have gotten much simpler, when packing your sprites into atlases. But with Sprite Atlas Selector, things are even easier! This asset allows you to easily access any of the sprites within your newly packed Sprite Atlas, (which by default, Unity doesn't allow you to do) in a variety of ways. The script is fully dynamic, meaning it will list and name all sprites according to their names as the separate sprites in your Sprite Atlas, without you having to do it manually in the editor or code. This will save you hours of work and allows for greater flexibility when rebuilding your Sprite Atlases with updated graphics or a different layout. Sprite Atlas Selector includes a previous and next button system to allow the user to flip though sprites in the atlas at runtime. It also has a dynamic menu system that will populate the exact amount of buttons, based on how many sprites are packed inside your atlas. These buttons are dynamically named, and when clicked, will load their corresponding sprite at runtime This asset as features a Text Object that will also change at runtime according to the chosen sprite. Sprite Atlas Selector is very easy to install and implement into your project. Simply drag the prefab into the scene, build a Sprite Atlas and you are good to go. Combine External Javascript and CSS Using W3 Total Cache Minify
In this video we'll cover how to combine external Javascript and CSS using W3 Total Cache Minify settings. Have you used GTmetrix to test out your site speed? Is your YSlow score giving you fits because you need to make fewer HTTP Requests? The reason you are getting the message to make fewer HTTP requests, is because you have multiple JavaScript and CSS files. If you can figure out how to combine external JavaScript or CSS files, the end result will be fewer HTTP requests and a quicker loading site. We'll fix that in today's video, by showing you how to leverage W3 Total Cache and its minify settings. Minify is nothing more then a fancy word to shrink the size of the file. However W3 Total Cache Minify settings will also let you combine your external JavaScript and CSS files. Stick with me on this, as I'll walk you through exactly what you need to do to both minify and combine JavaScript and CSS using W3 Total Cache.

Sprite animation CSS3 only tutorial. Photoshop GIF to JPEG tutorial.
Today I show you how to transform any GIF in a long filmstrip using Photoshop. Then, we will make a sprite animation using CSS3 only. Now, why not just use a GIF ? You have no control over animated GIFs. You can't start or stop them, let alone change the speed. They animate as soon as they load. Also, when you load multiple instances of the same GIF, they all use the same image across the page and move at the same time. Sprites are great for game development because they are fast, scalable, you can animate only a part of them, you have control over them, you can preload then so they don't freeze if the connection is slow and so on. This is why most browser-based games use this technique extensively. Video Log 2 demonstrates basic UI development within Unity Technologies Unity 4.0, as this was an early development idea to have the user load a desired sprite sheet of their choice from the resources folder dynamically during runtime and use the built in sprite sheet cutting tool to split up the tile set. This method was later modified so that the user would be designing the level entirely within the scene view area of the engine, which acts as more of an editor than a simulated game.
