MCTS 70-680: Event forwarding source initiated subscriptions

11:23
Check out http://YouTube.com/ITFreeTraining or http://itfreetraining.com for more of our always free training videos. This video looks at forwarding events from one computer to another using source initiated subscription. Source initiated subscription is when the computer that has events to transfer determines when to transfer these events to the collecting computer. The previous video looked at collector initiated subscription, which is when the collecting computer contacts the forwarding computer at regular intervals to see if it has events that it needs to transfer. Previous Video on event forwarding using collector initiated subscriptions http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZj_9e3AHFk Demo configuring the forwarding computer 01:56 Demo configuring the collector 05:24 Configuring the collector computer To configure the collector computer to receive events from the forwarding computer, run the following two commands: WinRM QuickConfig WECUtil QC Answer y to all the questions. WinRM will configure the WinRM service and the firewall. WECUtil will configure the service that is used to collect events sent from the forwarder. The next step is to configure a subscription on the collector computer. This is done inside the event viewer on the collector computer. Right click on subscriptions in the event viewer and select create subscription. Make sure that source computer initiated is selected. The rest of the options determine which events will be transferred from the forwarding computer. The subscription in this case acts like a filter determining which events to collect and which events to ignore. Configuring the forwarding computer Run the following command on the forwarding computer: WinRm QuickConfig Answer y to both questions. This will configure the service and also the firewall settings. Group Policy The forwarding computer needs to be configured with the address of the server to which the events are forwarded. This can be done with the following group policy setting: Computer configuration-Administrative templates-Windows components-Event forwarding-Configure the server address, refresh interval, and issue certificate authority of a target subscription manager. The syntax is as follows when using the default protocol HTTP and default port: Server=HTTP://FQDN Use the full URL when using HTTPS or different ports: Server=HTTPS://FQDN:5986/wsman/SubscriptionManager/WEC FQDN is the fully qualified domain name, for example, ITFreeTraining.com WECUtil command line WECutil supports a number of different command line options which are listed below. WECUtil ES Lists the subscriptions. The name of the subscription can be used in later commands. WECUtil GS (Subscription name) /f:XML This outputs the subscription configuration. If you want XML format add /f:XML. (Greater than sign) filename can also be added to direct the output to a file. WECUtil CS (Filename) This will create a new subscription using the configuration in the filename.

NMap 101: Discovery Options Part 2, Haktip 96

08:51
Shannon Morse discusses several discovery options you can use while working within NMap on today's HakTip. Today we're going to go over more Discovery Options. Since there are so many Discovery options that we can cover, I decided to split these into two episodes- last week's and this week's. So last week we covered about 10 options you can add to your command to make sure you receive information from a specific target, even if ICMP is blocked. This week we'll cover the basics on the rest of them. First off we have -PO which stands for an IP protocol ping. This will send packets with a specific protocol to the target machine. Your syntax would look like this: nmap -PO 10.73.31.145. If you want to add a certain protocol to your command, you would add -PO1,2,4, etc. The defaults, if you don't specify anything, are Protocol 1, ICMP, Protocol 2, IGMP, and Protocol 4, IP-in-IP. Luckily there is a handy list of protocols online for you to use. Next we have an ARP Ping, which can be used by adding -PR, so it would look like this: nmap -PR 10.73.31.145. This is implied whenever you scan a local network. It's very fast and very accurate because LAN hosts can not block ARP requests. You can't use this if your target isn't on your local subnet, keep that in mind. Another one we have touched on is Traceroute. This will trace the network path to a specific host. It's kind of cool when you run it because you end up with a map of locations that your target goes through. To do this, type nmap --traceroute 10.73.31.145. You'll notice a list of hops, and addresses for each one. It's kind of cool to check out how your target is able to get from one point to another. Next we are going to try out a forced Reverse DNS Resolution with the -R option. You would type, in this example, nmap -R 10.73.31.145. This output will look similar to the default output, and is useful when you're trying to resolve the reverse DNS info on every IP address for a subnet on a block of IP addresses. A reverse DNS can still reveal info through NMap even if the target is offline or blocking NMap's regular probes. On the other hand, if you want to disable reverse DNS lookups, you can do so with the -n option. If you find using reverse DNS is slow, this will speed it up. There is also an alternative DNS lookup method you can use as well. This one looks like: nmap --system-dns 10.73.31.145. This will use the hosts system's DNS resolver instead of NMaps own method. It's much slower than the other revers DNS lookup method, but can be useful for troubleshooting. If you want to manually specify DNS servers, do the following: nmap --dns-servers 208.67.222.222,208.84.54.222 10.73.31.145. This bypasses the default DNS servers that are configured in your local system. Last but not least, is creating a host list. This will identify the IP addresses and DNS names of targets without sending any packets to them. To do so, type nmap -sL 10.73.31.1/24. Each target will list out it's name and IP address in a simple list without all the extra information NMap usually passes. What would you like to see next about NMAP? Send me a comment below or email us at [email protected] And be sure to check out our sister show, Hak5 for more great stuff just like this. I'll be there, reminding you to trust your technolust. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Bash Bunny Primer - Hak5 2225" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j6hrjSrJaM -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

How to Run an EXE file if Windows Can't Run it (Windows EXE Fix)

01:44
This tutorial will show you how to restore the exe file association in Windows 7. In this tutorial you are going to learn how to open exe file if this is no longer working in Windows 7. This tutorial does require some registry modification. Step # 1 -- Opening Notepad Start by right clicking on the start menu and click "Start Task Manager". In the window that loads click "File", hold down "Control" on the keyboard and then click "Run". A command prompt window will open. Into this window type "notepad" and press return. Notepad will open. You are then going to need to get some text, so open your preffered internet browser and visit "http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950505" then scroll down and copy the information in the fourth step window. Step # 2 -- Saving the File Now, go back to Notepad and paste this information into it. Then click "File" and "Save as". In the window from the "Save as type" drop down box select "All Files" and then type in the file name "exe.reg". In the "Encoding" drop down box select "Unicode" and then save the file -- here we are saving it in a new folder one down from the root of the C drive. Step # 3 -- Completing the Registry Edit Now, return to the command window and enter "REG IMPORT" a space and then the destination and name of the file we just created, here that is "C:\New Folder\exe.reg". Now you will need to restart your computer and you should find that is how to open exe file if you have been having some problems doing so.

You have to shrink an existing windows partition to create space for creating an EFI partition. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfv9UYjrPhQ In order for me to help you, Please share the output for the commands: diskpart list disk sel disk 0 list vol list partition Take a picture of the output using your smartphone / camera and upload them on picpaste.com and share the link. For RAW guys: Your C: is being shown as RAW. It should be shown as NTFS. Somehow you seem to have screwed up your partition file system. Type the command: chkdsk /f /r C: If you get the error stating "chkdsk not allowed for RAW...", then do the following: Download system rescue disk from http://www.sysresccd.org/ create a bootable usb using the method mentioned in http://www.sysresccd.org/Sysresccd-manual-en_How_to_install_SystemRescueCd_on_an_USB-stick (you can also follow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iqZuCmM2fg), and use the tutorial http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Step_By_Step to recover back your partition or recover data from it. diskpart sel disk 0 sel partition X shrink desired = 200 minimum = 200 create partition efi format fs = fat32 assign letter = b: exit md b:\EFI md b:\EFI\Microsoft cd /d b:\EFI\Microsoft bootrec /fixboot bcdboot Y:\Windows /l en-us /s b: /f ALL Download https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=513066133E61F6FA!142&authkey=!AL48G3xvY8yyRQU&ithint=file%2ciso and follow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8gQuYekACU to create a bootable USB, boot from it, and then share the output for the commands: diskpart list disk sel disk 0 list vol list partition Take a picture of the output using your smartphone / camera and upload them on imgur.com or picpaste.com and share the link. For fixed disks guys: Check your connecting cables attached the HDD to the computer. Make sure they are not loose. When you start your computer, you need to press some key to enter "Setup" which are your BIOS settings. In that, there is an option to choose SATA mode. What is the value that you have set? Is it AHCI?

RHCE EX300 exam: Configure an iSCSI initiator on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

15:08
RHCE EX300 exam: Configure an iSCSI initiator (client) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux --- Our given task is: Configure an iSCSI initiator. Configure system2 so that it connects to the iqn.2017-04.com.example.domain9:system1 target on system1 as follows: - The iSCSI device should automatically be available on system boot. - The iSCSI block device contain a 1700 MiB that is formatted as ext3. - The partition is mounted to /mnt/data and is automatically mounted to this directory at system boot. --- Fist we have to install iscsi-initiator-utils package: yum install -y iscsi-initiator-utils Once iscsi-initiator-utils package is successfully installed we have to modify initiatorname.iscsi file: vi /etc/iscsi/initiatorname.iscsi InitiatorName musts be equal to the name which we had already set up on the iSCSI target. You can confirm iSCSI initiator name on iSCSI target server by running targetcli command. Initiator name can be found under acls in targetcli environment. Enable iscsi service to start automatically during system startup: systemctl enable iscsi Double-check that iscsi service is enabled to start automatically after system startup: systemctl is-enabled iscsi Start iscsi service: systemctl start iscsi Please do not confuse iscsi service with iscsid service. If you start iscsi service it will start iscsid service for you as well. iscsi service will: - start iscsid service. - login initiator to target after system startup. - logout initiator from target before system shutdown. If you will start only iscsid service instead of iscsi service it will not login initiator to target after system startup and iscsid will not logout initiator from target during system shutdown which may result to system hang during shutdown. Next step is to discover targets on our iSCSI server system1. Command to discover targets can be found in EXAMPLES section of iscsiadm man page. iscsiadm --mode discoverydb --type sendtargets --portal 172.24.9.10 --discover Node record id found by the discovery (output of above command) will be used to login to the target. Command to login to the target can be found in EXAMPLES section of iscsiadm man page again. iscsiadm --mode node --targetname iqn.2017-04.com.example.domain9:system1 --portal 172.24.9.10:3260 --login Verify that iSCSI disk device was picked up successfully. Presence of the new iSCSI disk can be confirmed in /var/log/messages file, output of dmesg command and in the output of various Linux tools: iscsiadm -m session -P3 | grep Attached lsscsi -s WHERE: -s option prints disk capacity in human readable form. lsblk lsblk --scsi fdisk -l | grep Disk cat /proc/scsi/scsi cat /proc/partitions Connection parameter defaults can be found in default file. /var/lib/iscsi/nodes/iqn.2017-04.com.example.domain9:system1/172.24.9.10,3260,1/default Once iSCSI disk was successfully added yo our Linux server, we will create disk partition, filesystem and we will modify /etc/fstab file to ensure that filesystem will be mounted after reboot as well. To create disk partition we will use fdisk command. Once disk partition with requested size is successfully created - we will create ext3 filesystem with below command: mkfs.ext3 /dev/sda1 NOTE: On your RHCE exam requested filesystem type can be xfs, ext4 or vfat. Create directory for mount point: mkdir /mnt/data Update /etc/fstab file with entry related to your newly created filesystem on your new iSCSI storage. You have to specify _netdev option for new filesystem created on iSCSI storage otherwise mounting of filesystem will fail because it will happen before network services will be up and running. If you will specify _netdev option - system processes will know that they have to wait and try to mount network filesystem once network will be fully operational. Mount new filesystem: mount /mnt/data Verify the size of the new filesystem: df -h /mnt/data Related Video Tutorials: RHCE EX300 Exam: RHCE EX300 exam: Configure an iSCSI target on Red Hat Enterprise Linux https://youtu.be/vF3YFVqwLT0 RHCSA Fast Track course: Reset forgotten root password in Redhat 7: https://youtu.be/cUG16kdYCxE Setting up network using a NetworkManager command line interface (nmcli) in Red Hat 7 https://youtu.be/v-soSvSsw18 nmcli cheat! Adjusting Your Content to Perform on Target Hardware | Dev Days 2018 | Unreal Engine

43:49
When building new content for a given platform, or porting from one platform to another, it's very common to end up with assets that are too demanding for the target hardware. There are many tools inside of Unreal Engine that can help you align the content you made with what the hardware can actually run. In this session, we compare different methods for asset reduction such as polygon reduction, LODs, merging actors, and resizing textures to see which optimizations are effective in improving performance in which scenarios. We also discuss how to make your game load faster and hitch less through profiling and optimizing asset loading and garbage collection. Learn more at http://www.unrealengine.com

Vulnerability Scanning| Vulnerability Assessment| WEB Server| Golismero | Kali Linux

07:21
GoLismero is an open source framework for security testing. It’s currently geared towards web security, but it can easily be expanded to other kinds of scans. Subscribe Me: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCknKuPpCcqfcedsBhQm0NuA?sub_confirmation=1 The most interesting features of the framework are: Real platform independence. Tested on Windows, Linux, *BSD and OS X. No native library dependencies. All of the framework has been written in pure Python. Good performance when compared with other frameworks written in Python and other scripting languages. Very easy to use. Plugin development is extremely simple. The framework also collects and unifies the results of well known tools: sqlmap, xsser, openvas, dnsrecon, theharvester Integration with standards: CWE, CVE and OWASP. Designed for cluster deployment in mind (not available yet). Niktoo Web Vulnerability Scanner

12:01
Hey guys wahzup?today i am going to show you Niktoo.so what is niktoo?Nikto is an Open Source (GPL) web server scanner which performs comprehensive tests against web servers for multiple items, including over 6700 potentially dangerous files/programs, checks for outdated versions of over 1250 servers, and version specific problems on over 270 servers. It also checks for server configuration items such as the presence of multiple index files, HTTP server options, and will attempt to identify installed web servers and software. Scan items and plugins are frequently updated and can be automatically updated. Nikto is not designed as a stealthy tool. It will test a web server in the quickest time possible, and is obvious in log files or to an IPS/IDS. However, there is support for LibWhisker's anti-IDS methods in case you want to give it a try (or test your IDS system). Not every check is a security problem, though most are. There are some items that are "info only" type checks that look for things that may not have a security flaw, but the webmaster or security engineer may not know are present on the server. These items are usually marked appropriately in the information printed. There are also some checks for unknown items which have been seen scanned for in log files. Features Here are some of the major features of Nikto. See the documentation for a full list of features and how to use them. SSL Support (Unix with OpenSSL or maybe Windows with ActiveState's Perl/NetSSL) Full HTTP proxy support Checks for outdated server components Save reports in plain text, XML, HTML, NBE or CSV Template engine to easily customize reports Scan multiple ports on a server, or multiple servers via input file (including nmap output) LibWhisker's IDS encoding techniques Easily updated via command line Identifies installed software via headers, favicons and files Host authentication with Basic and NTLM Subdomain guessing Apache and cgiwrap username enumeration Mutation techniques to "fish" for content on web servers Scan tuning to include or exclude entire classes of vulnerability checks Guess credentials for authorization realms (including many default id/pw combos) Authorization guessing handles any directory, not just the root directory Enhanced false positive reduction via multiple methods: headers, page content, and content hashing Reports "unusual" headers seen Interactive status, pause and changes to verbosity settings Save full request/response for positive tests Replay saved positive requests Maximum execution time per target Auto-pause at a specified time Checks for common "parking" sites Logging to Metasploit Thorough documentation Comands~ ----------------- 1:niktoo -help (For Help) 2:niktoo -h(H means the Host.i mean the target) http://etc.com -p 80 (P means the Port and one more thing you can change the port) To output the result you have after the Scan just type this command. 3:niktoo -h https://etc.com -p 80 -o web_results(you can give here what the name you want) -F txt (F means the format.you save it in any format you want.) so this it guys.keep practising keep learning new things, don’t give up.so if you guys like this video and want more videos like this please like&share & subscribe this video, share it with your friends.Feel free to ask any question.goodbyeee.peacceee Music credits~Trap Hackers - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5uFavwr0k_fI1o_MjAZw2Q Rujay - https://www.youtube.com/user/RujayTV/videos

01:04:47
http://CppCon.org — Presentation Slides, PDFs, Source Code and other presenter materials are available at: https://github.com/CppCon/CppCon2017 — This talk highlights efforts by Kenny Kerr, Herb Sutter, Gabriel Dos Reis, and others to make Windows a great place for C++ developers, replacing proprietary extensions and tools with standard C++ code. The talk begins with a quick introduction on what C++/WinRT is, how it helps make it super simple to create projects targeting Windows that use just ordinary C++ code, how the project uses advanced C++17 and TS features today, the roadmap for the next few months, and then how we’re looking ahead at things like modules and metaclasses to dramatically improve the way we think of and use C++ on Windows. — Scott Jones: Senior Software Engineer, Microsoft Scott works on several diagnostics features of Microsoft Windows, including Windows Device Portal, WinRT diagnostic APIs, and the browser's F12 network tracing. A few months ago, Scott joined Kenny Kerr to develop and ship the C++/WinRT projection library. Kenny Kerr: Microsoft Kenny is an author, systems programmer, and the creator of C++/WinRT. He is also an engineer on the Windows team at Microsoft where he is changing the way developers approach OS and app development with beautiful high-performance libraries and tools. — Videos Filmed & Edited by Bash Films: http://www.BashFilms.com

CppCon 2018: Boris Kolpackov “What to Expect from a Next-Generation C++ Build System”

01:02:20
http://CppCon.org — Presentation Slides, PDFs, Source Code and other presenter materials are available at: https://github.com/CppCon/CppCon2018 — Few will argue that a standard build system would greatly benefit the C++ community. And the change is in the air: the upcoming C++ Modules are bound to shake things up, the need to support multiple build systems is putting pressure on our packaging efforts, and languages like Rust and Go clearly show things work much better if the build system and package manager are well integrated. Perhaps then this is the C++ community's "git moment": an opportunity to get a next-generation build system that everyone is finally happy to use. In this talk I will demonstrate key features the next-generation C++ build system should have in order to achieve that elusive happy-to-use property. It is based on our experience developing the build2 toolchain, an integrated build system and package/project dependency managers (and which already supports C++ Modules). We start with a brief discussion of overall design choices: native or project generator/meta build system, black box or a concept of build, declarative or scripted (or perhaps a hybrid), uniform or platform-specific, in which language can/should it be implemented, and, finally, what about IDE/tools integration? Next, we go over what any current-generation build system should already support: build configuration management, cross-compilation, additional operations (test, install/uninstall, dist), out of source builds, and wildcard patterns. Then on to the next-generation: high-fidelity hermetic builds, precise change detection, portable, parallel testing, project importing/composability, and support for C++ Modules which should pave the way to reliable, generally-available distribution compilation. — Boris Kolpackov, Code Synthesis Chief Hacking Officer Boris Kolpackov is a founder and CHO (Chief Hacking Officer) at Code Synthesis, a company focusing on the development of open-source tools and libraries for C++. For the past 10 years Boris has been working on solving interesting problems in the context of C++ using domain-specific languages (DSL), C++ parsing, source-to-source translation, and code generation. His notable projects to date include ODB (ORM for C++), XSD and XSD/e (XML Schema to C++ compilers), as well as libstudxml (XML parser/serializer library for C++). — Videos Filmed & Edited by Bash Films: http://www.BashFilms.com
