In this video tutorial you will learn how to set the default programs in Windows 7. Don't forget to check out our site http://howtech.tv/ for more free how-to videos! http://youtube.com/ithowtovids - our feed http://www.facebook.com/howtechtv - join us on facebook https://plus.google.com/103440382717658277879 - our group in Google+ Every file has a certain default program that it always opens in, which it is compatible with. An example can be that .txt files open in Notepad while .docx files open in Microsoft Word. You can change these defaults easily by changing the default settings of programs and assigning which extensions have what defaults. Follow this step by step tutorial to learn How to set the default programs in Windows 7. Step # 1: Open Control Panel To begin setting default programs in Windows 7, click on the Start button on your desktop and open the Start menu. In the Start menu, click on the Control Panel tab on the right hand side to open the Control Panel. Step # 2: Open 'Programs' In the Control Panel window, click on the Programs tab on the left to access the Programs folder. The programs folder is used to Install, Uninstall and Remove programs from the computer. Step # 3: Click 'Make a file type always open in a specific program' In the Programs folder, there will be four options including Programs and Features, Default Programs, Desktop Gadgets and Java. In the Default Programs, click on the link on the right, 'Make a file type always open in a specific program'. Step # 4: Change program to 'Notepad' In the 'Set Association' window, a list of extension is provided with the current default programs and their relevant descriptions. As shown in the picture, to change any default programs, choose an extension from the list and click on the button 'Change program'. The default program for .txt is set on Notepad. Step # 5: Change Default program Upon clicking the 'Change program' tab, a new window will open up named 'Open with'. In this window, different alternatives to open this program will be listed. Currently the default program for Text Documents is set at Notepad, to change it, click Wordpad. To save the settings, click OK. Step # 6: Set your default programs An alternative to changing the default programs is to set default programs to an extension. To do so, back at the main Programs window in the Control Panel, the second option for Default Programs is listed. In the Default programs tab, you can click on the last link 'Set your default program' as shown in the picture. Step # 7: Select default program for an extension In the Set Defaults window, you will be shown a list of programs on the left. Select a program from the list, we have chosen 'Wordpad'. After choosing the program you wish to set defaults for, click on 'Choose defaults for this program' tab on the right, listed last. Step # 8: Select the programs to set default to After clicking the 'Choose default for this program', you will be led to the 'Set programs association' window. In this window, you can select the programs by checking the checkboxes that you want to set the Wordpad as default. In this picture you can see that the extensions, .docx, .rtf, .odt and .txt are set to open in Wordpad by checking their checkboxes. To save settings, click Save. Step # 9: Open Word Document in Wordpad To check whether your settings have been applied, open a Word Document. In this picture you can see that the file named 'Birthday' is opened and it opens in Wordpad by default. Step # 10: Open Text Documents in Wordpad You can check whether Text Documents open in Wordpad by opening one. In this picture you can see that the Text Document, 'Expense' is opened in Wordpad.

NMap 101: Discovery Options Part 2, Haktip 96

08:51
Shannon Morse discusses several discovery options you can use while working within NMap on today's HakTip. Today we're going to go over more Discovery Options. Since there are so many Discovery options that we can cover, I decided to split these into two episodes- last week's and this week's. So last week we covered about 10 options you can add to your command to make sure you receive information from a specific target, even if ICMP is blocked. This week we'll cover the basics on the rest of them. First off we have -PO which stands for an IP protocol ping. This will send packets with a specific protocol to the target machine. Your syntax would look like this: nmap -PO 10.73.31.145. If you want to add a certain protocol to your command, you would add -PO1,2,4, etc. The defaults, if you don't specify anything, are Protocol 1, ICMP, Protocol 2, IGMP, and Protocol 4, IP-in-IP. Luckily there is a handy list of protocols online for you to use. Next we have an ARP Ping, which can be used by adding -PR, so it would look like this: nmap -PR 10.73.31.145. This is implied whenever you scan a local network. It's very fast and very accurate because LAN hosts can not block ARP requests. You can't use this if your target isn't on your local subnet, keep that in mind. Another one we have touched on is Traceroute. This will trace the network path to a specific host. It's kind of cool when you run it because you end up with a map of locations that your target goes through. To do this, type nmap --traceroute 10.73.31.145. You'll notice a list of hops, and addresses for each one. It's kind of cool to check out how your target is able to get from one point to another. Next we are going to try out a forced Reverse DNS Resolution with the -R option. You would type, in this example, nmap -R 10.73.31.145. This output will look similar to the default output, and is useful when you're trying to resolve the reverse DNS info on every IP address for a subnet on a block of IP addresses. A reverse DNS can still reveal info through NMap even if the target is offline or blocking NMap's regular probes. On the other hand, if you want to disable reverse DNS lookups, you can do so with the -n option. If you find using reverse DNS is slow, this will speed it up. There is also an alternative DNS lookup method you can use as well. This one looks like: nmap --system-dns 10.73.31.145. This will use the hosts system's DNS resolver instead of NMaps own method. It's much slower than the other revers DNS lookup method, but can be useful for troubleshooting. If you want to manually specify DNS servers, do the following: nmap --dns-servers 208.67.222.222,208.84.54.222 10.73.31.145. This bypasses the default DNS servers that are configured in your local system. Last but not least, is creating a host list. This will identify the IP addresses and DNS names of targets without sending any packets to them. To do so, type nmap -sL 10.73.31.1/24. Each target will list out it's name and IP address in a simple list without all the extra information NMap usually passes. What would you like to see next about NMAP? Send me a comment below or email us at [email protected] And be sure to check out our sister show, Hak5 for more great stuff just like this. I'll be there, reminding you to trust your technolust. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Please watch: "Bash Bunny Primer - Hak5 2225" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j6hrjSrJaM -~-~~-~~~-~~-~-

RHCE EX300 exam: Configure an iSCSI initiator on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

15:08
RHCE EX300 exam: Configure an iSCSI initiator (client) on Red Hat Enterprise Linux --- Our given task is: Configure an iSCSI initiator. Configure system2 so that it connects to the iqn.2017-04.com.example.domain9:system1 target on system1 as follows: - The iSCSI device should automatically be available on system boot. - The iSCSI block device contain a 1700 MiB that is formatted as ext3. - The partition is mounted to /mnt/data and is automatically mounted to this directory at system boot. --- Fist we have to install iscsi-initiator-utils package: yum install -y iscsi-initiator-utils Once iscsi-initiator-utils package is successfully installed we have to modify initiatorname.iscsi file: vi /etc/iscsi/initiatorname.iscsi InitiatorName musts be equal to the name which we had already set up on the iSCSI target. You can confirm iSCSI initiator name on iSCSI target server by running targetcli command. Initiator name can be found under acls in targetcli environment. Enable iscsi service to start automatically during system startup: systemctl enable iscsi Double-check that iscsi service is enabled to start automatically after system startup: systemctl is-enabled iscsi Start iscsi service: systemctl start iscsi Please do not confuse iscsi service with iscsid service. If you start iscsi service it will start iscsid service for you as well. iscsi service will: - start iscsid service. - login initiator to target after system startup. - logout initiator from target before system shutdown. If you will start only iscsid service instead of iscsi service it will not login initiator to target after system startup and iscsid will not logout initiator from target during system shutdown which may result to system hang during shutdown. Next step is to discover targets on our iSCSI server system1. Command to discover targets can be found in EXAMPLES section of iscsiadm man page. iscsiadm --mode discoverydb --type sendtargets --portal 172.24.9.10 --discover Node record id found by the discovery (output of above command) will be used to login to the target. Command to login to the target can be found in EXAMPLES section of iscsiadm man page again. iscsiadm --mode node --targetname iqn.2017-04.com.example.domain9:system1 --portal 172.24.9.10:3260 --login Verify that iSCSI disk device was picked up successfully. Presence of the new iSCSI disk can be confirmed in /var/log/messages file, output of dmesg command and in the output of various Linux tools: iscsiadm -m session -P3 | grep Attached lsscsi -s WHERE: -s option prints disk capacity in human readable form. lsblk lsblk --scsi fdisk -l | grep Disk cat /proc/scsi/scsi cat /proc/partitions Connection parameter defaults can be found in default file. /var/lib/iscsi/nodes/iqn.2017-04.com.example.domain9:system1/172.24.9.10,3260,1/default Once iSCSI disk was successfully added yo our Linux server, we will create disk partition, filesystem and we will modify /etc/fstab file to ensure that filesystem will be mounted after reboot as well. To create disk partition we will use fdisk command. Once disk partition with requested size is successfully created - we will create ext3 filesystem with below command: mkfs.ext3 /dev/sda1 NOTE: On your RHCE exam requested filesystem type can be xfs, ext4 or vfat. Create directory for mount point: mkdir /mnt/data Update /etc/fstab file with entry related to your newly created filesystem on your new iSCSI storage. You have to specify _netdev option for new filesystem created on iSCSI storage otherwise mounting of filesystem will fail because it will happen before network services will be up and running. If you will specify _netdev option - system processes will know that they have to wait and try to mount network filesystem once network will be fully operational. Mount new filesystem: mount /mnt/data Verify the size of the new filesystem: df -h /mnt/data Related Video Tutorials: RHCE EX300 Exam: RHCE EX300 exam: Configure an iSCSI target on Red Hat Enterprise Linux https://youtu.be/vF3YFVqwLT0 RHCSA Fast Track course: Reset forgotten root password in Redhat 7: https://youtu.be/cUG16kdYCxE Setting up network using a NetworkManager command line interface (nmcli) in Red Hat 7 https://youtu.be/v-soSvSsw18 nmcli cheat! You have to shrink an existing windows partition to create space for creating an EFI partition. Example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lfv9UYjrPhQ In order for me to help you, Please share the output for the commands: diskpart list disk sel disk 0 list vol list partition Take a picture of the output using your smartphone / camera and upload them on picpaste.com and share the link. For RAW guys: Your C: is being shown as RAW. It should be shown as NTFS. Somehow you seem to have screwed up your partition file system. Type the command: chkdsk /f /r C: If you get the error stating "chkdsk not allowed for RAW...", then do the following: Download system rescue disk from http://www.sysresccd.org/ create a bootable usb using the method mentioned in http://www.sysresccd.org/Sysresccd-manual-en_How_to_install_SystemRescueCd_on_an_USB-stick (you can also follow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iqZuCmM2fg), and use the tutorial http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk_Step_By_Step to recover back your partition or recover data from it. diskpart sel disk 0 sel partition X shrink desired = 200 minimum = 200 create partition efi format fs = fat32 assign letter = b: exit md b:\EFI md b:\EFI\Microsoft cd /d b:\EFI\Microsoft bootrec /fixboot bcdboot Y:\Windows /l en-us /s b: /f ALL Download https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=513066133E61F6FA!142&authkey=!AL48G3xvY8yyRQU&ithint=file%2ciso and follow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8gQuYekACU to create a bootable USB, boot from it, and then share the output for the commands: diskpart list disk sel disk 0 list vol list partition Take a picture of the output using your smartphone / camera and upload them on imgur.com or picpaste.com and share the link. For fixed disks guys: Check your connecting cables attached the HDD to the computer. Make sure they are not loose. When you start your computer, you need to press some key to enter "Setup" which are your BIOS settings. In that, there is an option to choose SATA mode. What is the value that you have set? Is it AHCI?

Niktoo Web Vulnerability Scanner

12:01
Hey guys wahzup?today i am going to show you Niktoo.so what is niktoo?Nikto is an Open Source (GPL) web server scanner which performs comprehensive tests against web servers for multiple items, including over 6700 potentially dangerous files/programs, checks for outdated versions of over 1250 servers, and version specific problems on over 270 servers. It also checks for server configuration items such as the presence of multiple index files, HTTP server options, and will attempt to identify installed web servers and software. Scan items and plugins are frequently updated and can be automatically updated. Nikto is not designed as a stealthy tool. It will test a web server in the quickest time possible, and is obvious in log files or to an IPS/IDS. However, there is support for LibWhisker's anti-IDS methods in case you want to give it a try (or test your IDS system). Not every check is a security problem, though most are. There are some items that are "info only" type checks that look for things that may not have a security flaw, but the webmaster or security engineer may not know are present on the server. These items are usually marked appropriately in the information printed. There are also some checks for unknown items which have been seen scanned for in log files. Features Here are some of the major features of Nikto. See the documentation for a full list of features and how to use them. SSL Support (Unix with OpenSSL or maybe Windows with ActiveState's Perl/NetSSL) Full HTTP proxy support Checks for outdated server components Save reports in plain text, XML, HTML, NBE or CSV Template engine to easily customize reports Scan multiple ports on a server, or multiple servers via input file (including nmap output) LibWhisker's IDS encoding techniques Easily updated via command line Identifies installed software via headers, favicons and files Host authentication with Basic and NTLM Subdomain guessing Apache and cgiwrap username enumeration Mutation techniques to "fish" for content on web servers Scan tuning to include or exclude entire classes of vulnerability checks Guess credentials for authorization realms (including many default id/pw combos) Authorization guessing handles any directory, not just the root directory Enhanced false positive reduction via multiple methods: headers, page content, and content hashing Reports "unusual" headers seen Interactive status, pause and changes to verbosity settings Save full request/response for positive tests Replay saved positive requests Maximum execution time per target Auto-pause at a specified time Checks for common "parking" sites Logging to Metasploit Thorough documentation Comands~ ----------------- 1:niktoo -help (For Help) 2:niktoo -h(H means the Host.i mean the target) http://etc.com -p 80 (P means the Port and one more thing you can change the port) To output the result you have after the Scan just type this command. 3:niktoo -h https://etc.com -p 80 -o web_results(you can give here what the name you want) -F txt (F means the format.you save it in any format you want.) so this it guys.keep practising keep learning new things, don’t give up.so if you guys like this video and want more videos like this please like&share & subscribe this video, share it with your friends.Feel free to ask any question.goodbyeee.peacceee Music credits~Trap Hackers - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC5uFavwr0k_fI1o_MjAZw2Q Rujay - https://www.youtube.com/user/RujayTV/videos

CppCon 2018: Herb Sutter “Thoughts on a more powerful and simpler C++ (5 of N)”

01:39:09
http://CppCon.org — Presentation Slides, PDFs, Source Code and other presenter materials are available at: https://github.com/CppCon/CppCon2018 — Perhaps the most important thing we can do for C++ at this point in its evolution is to make sure we preserve its core strengths while also directing its evolution in ways that make it simpler to use. That is my own opinion at least, so this talk starts with a perspective question: What “is C++,” really? The language continues to evolve and change; as it does so, how can we be sure we’re picking C++ evolutionary improvements that not only don’t lose its “C++-ic” qualities, but make it a better C++ than ever? At recent CppCons, I’ve spoken about several of my own personal C++ evolution efforts and experiments, and why I think they’re potentially important directions to explore for making C++ both more powerful and also simpler to use. The bulk of the talk is updates on two of these: 1. Lifetime and dangling: At CppCon 2015, Bjarne Stroustrup and I launched The C++ Core Guidelines in our plenary talks. In my part starting at 29:06, I gave an early look at my work on the Guidelines “Lifetime” profile, an approach for diagnosing many common cases of pointer/iterator dangling at compile time, with demos in an early MSVC-based prototype. For this year’s CppCon, I’ll cover what’s new, including: • use-after-move diagnoses • better support for the standard library out of the box without annotation • more complete implementations in two compilers: in MSVC as a static analysis extension, and in a Clang-based implementation that is efficient enough to run during normal compilation • the complete 1.0 Lifetime specification being released on the Guidelines’ GitHub repo this month I’ll summarize the highlights but focus on what’s new, so I recommend rewatching that talk video as a refresher for background for this year’s session. 2. Metaclasses: In my CppCon 2017 talk, I gave an early look at my “metaclasses” proposal to use compile-time reflection and compile-time generation to make authoring classes both more powerful and also simpler. In this case, “simpler” means not only eliminating a lot of tedious boilerplate, but also eliminating many common sources of errors and bugs. For this year, we’ll cover what’s new, including: • an update on the Clang-based implementation, which now supports more use cases including function parameter lists • new examples, including from domains like concurrency • an updated P0707 paper, with more links to working examples live on Godbolt, being posted in the next few weeks for the pre-San Diego committee mailing — Herb Sutter Microsoft Author, and chair of the ISO C++ committee. — Videos Filmed & Edited by Bash Films: http://www.BashFilms.com

CppCon 2018: Mateusz Pusz “Git, CMake, Conan - How to ship and reuse our C++ projects”

01:01:06
http://CppCon.org — Presentation Slides, PDFs, Source Code and other presenter materials are available at: https://github.com/CppCon/CppCon2018 — Git and CMake are already established standards in our community. However, it is uncommon to see them being used in an efficient way. As a result, many C++ projects have big problems with either importing other dependencies or making themselves easy to import by others. It gets even worse when we need to build many different configurations of our package on one machine. That presentation lists and addresses the problems of build system and packaging that we have with large, multi-platform, C++ projects that often have many external and internal dependencies. The talk will present how proper use of CMake and Conan package manager can address those use cases. It will also describe current issues with the cooperation of those tools. If you've attended or seen my talk at C++Now 2018, that time you can expect much more information on Conan and package creation using that tool. I will also describe how the integration of CMake and Conan changed over the last few months. — Mateusz Pusz, Epam Systems Chief Software Engineer Software architect, chief developer, and security champion with more than 14 years of experience in designing, writing and maintaining C++ code for fun and living. C++ consultant, trainer, and evangelist focused on Modern C++. His main areas of interest and expertise are code performance, low latency, stability, and security. Mateusz worked at Intel for 13 years and now he leads C++ Community at EPAM Systems. He is also a founder of Train IT that provides C++ trainings to corporations. Mateusz is an active voting member of the ISO C++ Committee (WG21) where, together with the best C++ experts in the world, he shapes the next official version of the C++ language. He is also a member of WG21 Study Group 14 (SG14) responsible for driving performance and low latency subjects in the Committee. In 2013 Mateusz won “Bench Games 2013” – worldwide competition in the C++ language knowledge. — Videos Filmed & Edited by Bash Films: http://www.BashFilms.com

Running angular app locally

06:37
In this video we will discuss 1. How to compile and run an angular application locally on your development machine 2. What happens behind the scenes when we compile and run an angular application 3. What is bundling and why is it important for performance So far in this video series we have been using the following command to build and run our angular application. ng serve --open Have you ever thought about what happens behind the scenes when we execute this command. Behind the scenes, Angular CLI runs Webpack to build and bundle all JavaScript and CSS code. In most cases the following are the bundles. Bundle File What it contains inline.bundle.js WebPack runtime. Required for WebPack to do it's job main.bundle.js All our application code that we write polyfills.bundle.js Browser Polyfills styles.bundle.js Styles used by the application vendor.bundle.js Angular and 3rd party vendor files What is bundling and why is it important for performance A typical real world angular application is made up of many components. Each component code is in it's own .ts file which gets transpiled to JavaScript i.e to a .js file. Along the same lines, a component may also have it's own .css file for styles. So our angular application code is in many small files. In addition to our application code files, we also have vendor code files like Angular, jQuery etc. Web browsers have a limit on how many scripts or CSS files they can download simultaneously. Because of this browser limitation, your application may suffer from performance perspective, if it has many JavaScript and CSS files to download. Bundling can solve this problem by combining many small application and library files into a few bundles. As mentioned before, Angular CLI runs WebPack for building and bundling angular applications. There are several ways to see these generated bundles. 1. If you have executed the "ng serve --open" command in a command prompt window, upon build completion you can see the generated bundles in the command prompt window 2. If you have executed the "ng serve --open" command in Visual Studio Code Integrated Terminal, upon build completion you can see the generated bundles in the integrated terminal window 3. "ng serve --open" command builds and runs the application. By default the application runs at port number 4200. You can change this default port number if you want to. We will discuss how to do that in our upcoming videos. When the application is served in the browser you can see the generated bundles on the "Elements" tab in Browser Developer Tools. 4. You can also see these bundles on the "Sources" tab in Browser Developer Tools. 5. To see the bundles along with their sizes click on the Network tab. If you don't see the bundles, refresh the browser window by pressing F5. In addition to bundling, we can also use other optimisation techniques like Ahead-of-Time (AOT) Compilation, Minification, Uglification and TreeShaking to improve performance. We will discuss all these techniques and how to implement them in our upcoming videos. The ng serve command builds and serves the application from memory for a faster development experience. It does not write the build artifacts to the disk, so we cannot use this command if you want to deploy the build to another server. For example, if you want to deploy your angular application to a test server for testing, or to your production server we cannot use ng serve. We instead use ng build. This command writes the build artifacts to the specified output folder, so the application can be deployed elsewhere. We will discuss ng build in our upcoming videos. To customise the in-memory builds that the "ng serve" command produces, there are several options that we can use along with this command. We will discuss these options in our next video. How to Use the Solver Tool in Excel

10:21
In this tutorial, I introduce you to the powerful SOLVER Tool in Excel, Solver is an "Add-in" program in Excel. It is easy to "activate" as I demonstrate in this video. The "Keys" to understanding how to effectively use SOLVER are: 1) Determine the "Target Cell" - which will return the result that you want SOLVER to produce. This cell MUST contain a FORMULA! 2) The "By Changing cells" that SOLVER will work with - These cells MUST feed into the TARGET CELL! 3) The CONSTRAINTS that you establish for SOLVER to observe as it finds a solution. I think that you will enjoy my explanation of how to use this powerful and complex tool to generate the "real world" results that you are looking for in Excel. How to Use Advanced Filters in Excel

10:45
In addition to the built-in AutoFilters in Excel, you can create Advanced Filters that allow you to extract unique records or calculate criteria based on external data. I do not use Advanced Filters as much as I did in the past because Excel 2007 greatly improved the built-in AutoFilters. However, you will pick up at least two good tips from this lesson - including how to extract Unique Records and copy them to a new worksheet. I invite you to visit my online shopping website - http://shop.thecompanyrocks.com - to see all of my resources and explore the many products and services that I offer. Danny Rocks The Company Rocks

ES6 Modules in the Real World (Polymer Summit 2017)

32:48
ES6 Modules are now supported in all major modern browsers. By using the platform and building native, well-supported, modular code, you can benefit from speedier engineering cycles—no compile steps required during development. In this video, Sam Thorogood details the architectural patterns that enable you to use ES6 Modules for your webapp or experience, regardless of framework—including shipping modern code to modern browsers (fast!) while still compiling down to an older baseline for the long tail. Excel Drop Down List Automatically Changes Product Name to Code

03:30
http://www.contextures.com/excelfiles.html#DV0004 Download the Excel 2007 sample file from this link. To make it easier for users to enter data in an Excel workbook, create drop down lists in the cells, by using Excel data validation. In this example there is a list of products on one worksheet, and the drop down lists will be created on a different worksheet. The list of products is named, and that name is used to create the drop down list. The drop down list shows the product name and the product code. After the product is selected, the full description is automatically replaced by the product code, by using Excel VBA that runs when the worksheet is changed. Watch this video to see the steps for creating an Excel Table, naming a column in that table, then using that name when creating the data validation drop down list.
