it makes no sense without a synopsis; Miss Brill is a character, she visits the park every Sunday and sits on the same bench. She sits on her usual bench enjoying the chatter of the park patrons. She pets her neck fur, as if it were a pet (or a loved one). She comments it's a fine day but she's glad she chose her fur. While sitting on the bench she remarks on the previous week in which she overheard a lady complaining of her life, Miss Brill states in her mind, 'I wanted to shake her.' Continuing the adventurous sitting, she thinks of her life as a play; she believes every Sunday the cast all sets in their usual positions and that she, of course, is a part of it. This thought intrigues her and she begins to fancy herself an actress, and fantasizes of herself telling a man she is most definitely an actress. After the swelling of her head desist, she see's a couple retreating to a park bench, near hers (near enough to hear). As the man persist to woo the girl, in hopes of catching a kiss, Miss Brill overhears the conversation that takes place. "No, not now," said the girl. "Not here, I can't." "But why? Because of that stupid old thing at the end there?" asked the boy. "Why does she come here at all—who wants her? Why doesn't she keep her silly old mug at home?" "It's her fu-ur which is so funny," giggled the girl. "It's exactly like a fried whiting." "Ah, be off with you!" said the boy in an angry whisper. Then: "Tell me, ma petite chere—" "No, not here," said the girl. "Not yet." After hearing this she leaves the park, in a hurry. Usually, after the Sunday sit, Miss Brill would buy a honey cake. This cake was seen as a reward and surprise for herself. This Sunday she rushed right past the bakery straight to her cupboard of a room. She hurriedly placed the fur into the box and then closed it. She wasn't sure, but when she placed the fur into the box, she thought she heard something crying... This was made for a school project and I just really love how it turned out. It's very conceptual.
