You will see how to find counter-seasonal topics or products to fill in your low season through this tool! Finally, we look at trends in diet patterns, from the New Year's bump to the long-term patterns in lifestyle diets vs. diet fads. Yes they say content is king, but you already know there's over a billion blogs. Nowadays Google isn't just picking from, hey what content do we wanna rank, 'cause we lack content. They're like, we have content on everything under the sun, and the same thing a hundred other times. So now they're just not picking, what content do we wanna rank? They're looking at authority, user metrics, they're even looking at when was the content created. Why would they wanna rank a content that's two years old, when they can rank something that's less than one week old. So when it comes to content marketing in 2019, you need to make sure that your content's also being up to date. If you don't update your old content, you're not going to get as much love as people who're continually pushing out new fresh content. Second tip I have for you is don't regurgitate the same information over and over again. People are tired of reading 12 SEO tips that'll double your traffic. You can google it, there's probably different variations of that number, but there's probably hundreds of articles on that subject. Write something new, fresh, that hasn't been seen before, you're more likely to get traffic, rankings, and even social shares. I know you're not gonna like this third tip, but the third tip for you guys is to create video and audio based content. Text is overrated, it doesn't help you connect with people as much as video. I still love text, I still crank out text, but the future is video. It's much more personable, people get to know you, your personality, your company better. So create video based content, upload it to YouTube, Linkedin, heck you can even do Twitter and Instagram if it's short enough, and of course Facebook. Don't share the same video over and over again, like sharing your YouTube video on Facebook. You gotta take that video all over again, and reupload it into Facebook. Linkedin for example, you gotta reupload the video all over again versus sharing the link to that Facebook video. Or that YouTube video. Now with audio you wanna create a podcast, it's easy, you can just bust out your phone, create a audio file, upload it to Itunes or Lip Sync, and you're off and to the races. Same with video, you don't actually have to go into a studio like I am, and shoot all these fancy videos and pay money. You can just bust out your phone. I would even say most the time, from all the tests we've ran, the videos that you end up running on your iPhone convert better if you're selling a product or service. So there's nothing wrong with doing that. Just look at Tai Lopez, he's known for just busting out his phone, and recording videos and it does very well for him. And the last tip I have for you is promoting your content. In 2019 you gotta spend more time promoting than writing. #NeilPatel #ContentMarketing #SEO

6 Marketing Trends Realtors Need to Pay Attention to in 2018
With 2018 in full-swing, it’s important for real estate professionals to make sure they are making the most out of their marketing efforts. It’s time agents stopped marketing like it’s 2005 and became more aware of how they’re spending their money and how they’re spending it on marketing. In working with some of the biggest real estate brands in the country, and their brokerages and agents, I’ve seen firsthand what top-producing teams are doing with their marketing — and it’s not that hard. Top producers pay attention to the trends, and they hop on them. In the video above and throughout this article, I’ve outlined the trends I see among successful real estate agents and how you can start to implement these strategies in your own marketing. 1. Design a mobile-first experience As of this year, mobile internet users have surpassed desktop users in North America. This means you need to be thinking about your customer’s mobile experience with brand first, desktop second. Too many agents put their mobile experience and marketing to side in favor of their desktop website. Mobile isn’t coming — it’s here. 2. Change the type of content you post on social media If the majority of your social media posts are links asking someone to come back to your website you’re missing an opportunity. Social media networks like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc., reward you for creating native content for each platform. 3. Be more thoughtful with your marketing The automated route is the easy route, but it’s not an effective one. This isn’t what the real estate industry was built on — it was built on real relationships. When you’re looking at your marketing efforts, look at areas where you can improve a lot with a little more effort. In a past Inman article, we sat with a top producer to talk about how he continually builds his referral business through hand-written notes. This extra effort goes a long way in building connections. 4. Think Facebook, Facebook, Facebook If you head to any conference, you’ll most likely hear a speaker talking about how the younger generation isn’t using Facebook as much. Well, they’re right about that; however, last time I checked, teenagers aren’t buying homes. Facebook owns Instagram, meaning its reach is massive. Not to mention, if you are advertising on Facebook, you can easily put those same ads on Instagram at the same time. 5. Make your customer and community the star of the show You are not the star, your customer and community are — treat them like it. If you shift your content away from it being all about you and your accomplishments and more toward education and inspiration, you’ll immediately see bigger engagement rates. Your audience is eager to tell their story. For example, if you head to Facebook and ask, “What year did you buy your first home?” you’ll see your audience engage at a higher rate than usual. This is because a post like this enables your customers to tell their stories. 6. Use video With the power of the camera on your phone, there is no excuse for not creating video content. Pull out your phone, and tell people what you love about your community or new listing. Video is powerful, inexpensive and pretty easy to post directly to social media. This naturally means, influencer ads are the most lucrative forms of reaching out to the community. Mobile Ads Since the 47% of online customers (according to Forbes as mentioned above.) block ads on gadgets, the best form of marketing through mobile ads is done through cross-channeling and interoperability in 2017. Video Content Videos have never been out-of-line. The best kind of advertisements are always done through videos as they help in connecting on point, emotionally! Reviews Last but not the least, one of the most important traditional marketing trends that still reigns is "Reviews". In a landscape where, ad blocks prevail and influencer marketing proves to be one of the best source of marketing, reviews never lag back. A review of a customer speaking about his/her experience can take your product/service is ten times more worth than you creating a marketing strategy to attract the audience.

The first tip I have for you is to share your content multiple times. When people go on Facebook or LinkedIn, they share the content once and that's it. Why? You know most of your followers aren't gonna see your content. Have you thought about sharing it six times a year? Yes, that same piece of article over and over again. By doing that, what you'll find is, you'll get way more traffic, typically double to triple the amount of traffic than if you just shared it once. Second tip, create engaging content. The biggest part about this social algorithms, in 2019 is comments. It's not likes, it's not shares, it's how many people are leaving a comment. Do you know why? Well, it's because this takes more effort for you to leave a comment than it does for you to like this video or share the video. Don't believe me? Leave a comment below. If everyone leaves a comment below, you'll watch this video go viral. It could be as simple as being like yes, no, or the number, one; it doesn't matter what you leave in the comment. If you all leave a comment, this video will go more viral. The third tip I have for you, is don't be afraid to promote your business. It's so funny, everyone's like, "Oh, I figured out how to get social traffic "but it's useless; "It drives no sales." Well, are you asking people to buy from you? If you don't have any call-to-actions in your videos, you can't expect people to come, consume your content and be like, "Yeah, sure. I'm gonna buy from you, Neil." People don't think that way, they're just gonna consume. You've got to encourage them to go to your business, buy or buy your products or your services or sign up from. That's why at the end of every one of my videos, I tell everyone to check out my ad agency, Neil Patel Digital. And the last tip I have for you, and this is what you haven't tried, and this is what you are not doing, optimize your own type of conversions. Even when you get the social traffic, you're just not gonna get those people to convert into customers. Yes, you can tell people to buy your products, buy your services, and that's one strike, but you also need to optimize your own learning pages. By using tools like Crazy Egg, you can see where people are clicking, where they are not, what's stopping them from converting, and then get them to convert by running A/B test. You can even use tools like Hello Bar and Subscribers to either capture emails, or even to get people on your partial notification list.
