Local-loop unbundling
Local loop unbundling is the regulatory process of allowing multiple telecommunications operators to use connections from the telephone exchange to the customer's premises. The physical wire connection between the local exchange and the customer is known as a "local loop", and is owned by the incumbent local exchange carrier. To increase competition, other providers are granted unbundled access. This video is targeted to blind users. Attribution: Article text available under CC-BY-SA Creative Commons image source in video

What is LOOP START? What does LOOP START mean? LOOP START meaning, definition & explanation
What is LOOP START? What does LOOP START mean? LOOP START meaning - LOOP START definition - LOOP START explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Loop start is a telecommunications supervisory protocol between a central office or private branch exchange (PBX) and a subscriber telephone for the purpose of starting and terminating a telephone call. It is the simplest of the telephone signaling systems, and uses the presence or absence of loop current to indicate the off-hook and on-hook loop states, respectively. It is used primarily for subscriber line signaling. When the telephone is on-hook, the potential of the ring conductor of the local loop is held at a nominal level of -48V DC with respect to the tip conductor, provided by the telephone exchange or a foreign exchange station (FXS) interface. When the terminal initiates use of the line, it causes current to flow by closing the loop, and this signals the exchange to provide dial tone on the line and to expect dial signals, in form of DTMF digits or dial pulses, or a hook flash. When the loop is opened and current stops flowing for a certain period of time, the subscriber equipment signals that it has finished using the line; the telephone exchange resets the line to an idle state. For alerting an incoming call, the exchange rings the telephone by superimposing an alternating current (AC) signal onto the line of between 40 V and 90 V. The frequency of the signal is 20 Hz. In early exchanges, the ringing power was produced by a hand-cranked generator in the operator console of the exchange. Loop start signaling cannot detect simultaneous seizure of the line on both ends, commonly called glare, when used on trunk lines. The protocol imposes no requirement to the central office end to inform the subscriber end of distant far-end disconnection conditions. Such conditions are properly recognized in ground start signaling, a protocol primarily used on trunks between switching systems. Modern loop start trunks often provide additional methods supervision to avoid the far-end-disconnect problem. Answer supervision and disconnect supervision are extensions to alert a foreign exchange office (FXO) interface that the remote party has answered or hung up. Answer supervision usually takes the form of the central office reversing the polarity of the line (battery reversal) for the duration of the call when it has been answered. For disconnect supervision the polarity may reverse back, or the battery voltage may be removed from the line for a short period of time. Additional types of loop signaling are signals to the central office that the subscriber intends to initiate a second simultaneous call, a three-way conference call, or answer a second incoming call. This signal is called flashing or hook flash, and is performed by interrupting the loop for a fraction of a second, typically at least 300 ms. The flash signal is longer than a rotary dial pulse, sometimes called a short flash, and is shorter than the time required for the on-hook condition.

What is GROUND START? What does GROUND START mean? GROUND START meaning & explanation
What is GROUND START? What does GROUND START mean? GROUND START meaning - GROUND START definition - GROUND START explanation. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. In telephony, ground start is a method of signaling from a terminal of a subscriber local loop to a telephone exchange, where one side of a cable pair is temporarily grounded to request dial tone. Most middle 20th-century American payphones used coin-first ground start lines, with the starting ground connection provided by the coin itself, bridging a set of contacts as it passes through the coin chute. Telephone companies typically provide two types of dial tone switched circuits – ground start and loop start. Private branch exchanges (PBX) work best on ground start trunks because those trunks can give them an on hook signal allowing for timely clearing. Normal single line telephones and key systems typically work on loop start lines. On loop start lines the PBX and central office may inadvertently seize the line simultaneously, a condition called glare, resulting in call collision since neither gets the expected response and no call can be initiated. In an idle circuit, the central office supplies –48V (nominally) on the ring conductor with respect to the tip side. A ground start PBX initiates an outgoing trunk seizure on an idle circuit by connecting of the ring lead to ground (maximum local resistance of 550 ohms). The central office senses this condition and grounds the tip lead. When the PBX senses this, it goes off-hook, then removes the ground on ring. The central office sends dial tone and the rest of the call proceeds normally. In ground start signaling, the central office initiates a call by grounding tip and putting the ringing signal on the line. The PBX has 100ms to sense this condition. The PBX goes off hook; if it had been trying to seize the line by grounding ring, it releases ring from ground and the call proceeds normally. At the end of either an incoming or outgoing call, the PBX initiates disconnect by going on hook, or the central office initiates disconnect by opening tip. When the other end detects the loss of loop current, it also goes on hook and the call clears normally. A PBX user must be careful to order the correct type of trunk line from the local phone company and correctly install the telephone system at the PBX end – so that they match. Line equipment in most 20th-century central office switches had to be specially rewired to create a ground start DDCO line. Crossbar switch did it with a paper sleeve on the Vertical Off Normal contact, 5ESS switch by translation, and DMS-100 by a slide switch on the line card, all according to what the customer ordered.

Fix MMC Could not Create the Snap in Error
Fix MMC Could not Create the Snap in Error. The Microsoft Management Console (MMC) is an application that provides a graphical user interface (GUI) and a programming framework in which consoles (collections of administrative tools) can be created, saved, and opened. MMC was originally released as part of the Windows 98 Resource Kit and is included on all later versions. It uses a Multiple Document Interface (MDI) in an environment similar to Microsoft’s Windows Explorer. MMC is considered to be a container for the actual operations, and is known as a “tools host.” It does not, itself, provide management, but rather a framework in which management tools can operate. Sometimes, there may be a possibility of a scenario in which some snap-ins may not work properly. Especially, if the registry configuration of a snap-in is broken (note that Registry Editor is not a snap-in), the snap-in initialization would fail. In this case, you’re likely to get following error message (a specific message in case of Event Viewer): MMC could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not have been installed correctly. This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba,Lenovo, and Samsung).

What is REMOTE CONCENTRATOR? What does REMOTE CONCENTRATOR mean? REMOTE CONCENTRATOR meaning - REMOTE CONCENTRATOR definition - REMOTE CONCENTRATOR explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ In modern telephony a remote concentrator, remote concentrator unit (RCU), or remote line concentrator (RLC) is a concentrator at the lowest level in the telephone switch hierarchy. Subscribers' analogue telephone/PSTN lines are terminated on concentrators. They have three main functions, namely: Digitize, that is, turn voice, and sometimes data, from analogue into a digital form. Connect off-hook lines through to the local exchange — the concentration function. Multiplex, interleaving many calls together on a single wire or optical fiber. Only a few hundred telephone lines attach to each remote concentrator. In North America concentrators are located in a serving area interface (SAI) or other enclosure in each neighborhood. In Europe the buildings which once contained local Strowger switch telephone exchanges are now usually empty except for a remote concentrator. Only call packets from or destined to a phone serviced by the concentrator actually are processed by the concentrator — nonlocal phones' time slots just pass through the concentrator unchanged. If the concentrator malfunctions, a fail-safe relay connects the "in" wires to the "out" wires, and nonlocal phones detect no difference. The central switch periodically counts concentrators, and schedules maintenance, probably before users notice the failure. Concentrators for several hundred customers can be threaded on this loop like pearls. The interface between remote concentrators and their parent telephone switches has been standardised by ETSI as the V5 interface. When a user picks up their phone, the concentrator produces the dial tone. When the user dials, it reads the tones. Once the user has completed dialing, the concentrator's microcomputer sends the dialing data to the central switch, which allocates a time slot for the dialing phone on the wire pairs that pass through the concentrator and through the switch. After the central switch tells the concentrator which time slot to use, the concentrator "opens" a time-slot on the loop to a local phone. The allocated time slot on the wiring into the concentrator is used to send data from the remote telephone's microphone to the local telephone's speaker. The allocated time slot on the wiring out of the concentrator (with the same time slot number) carries data from the local microphone to the remote speaker. To arrange a connection, the switch just completes the circle between the user's phone and the remote phone. It interchanges the data from one to the other. In this limited sense, telephone "exchange" is exactly correct terminology. Having a concentrator near a subscriber's telephone results in very low signal degradation before the analog signal is digitized. This provides reliably good voice quality. Concentrators are often placed alongside a digital subscriber line access multiplexer (DSLAM). This can provide access to asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) Internet service for subscribers who are beyond the normal 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) signaling limit on a copper wire loop. For example, a fiber optic cable might run up to 30 kilometres (19 mi) without a repeater from the telephone exchange to a concentrator site, and local subscriber wire local loops can extend an additional 4 km beyond the concentrator and its DSLAM. With repeaters in the fiber optic cable the distance from the telephone exchange can be extended much farther.

Segment Routing Microloop Avoidance Demo
Microloops are transient packet loops that occur in the network following a topology change. They are caused by the non-simultaneous convergence of different nodes in the network and result in packet loss, jitter, out-of-order packets. The traffic steering capabilities of Segment Routing allow to prevent such microloops to occur for link down, link up and metric change events. The Microloop Avoidance functionality detects if microloops are possible following a topology change. If microloops could occur, then it steers the traffic on the final post-convergence path through the network, but on a path that is guaranteed loopfree thanks to the Segment Routing steering. The regular forwarding entries are updated when no more microloops are possible. Microloop Avoidance functionality is simple to deploy in the Segment Routing enabled network. It is a local behaviour based on the regular routing protocol database and computations, no additional signalling is required. More Segment Routing information at http://segment-routing.net

How to Configure an FXO Port to Ring VoIP Phone on CUBE and CUCM
How to Configure an FXO Port to Ring VoIP Phone on CUBE and CUCM =================================================== FXO Voice Port Configuration • Unlike a T1 Card there is no configuration needed after FXO Card installation • Each FXO port will need to be configured and there are several parameters that need to be setup. • There are other configuration setting that may be needed depending on your setup and location; I have just listed the basic settings I used to setup our Ecuador office. o connection plar (opx)  This command will ring an extension from CUCM o Signal  Loopstart - Standard residential phone lines are configured as FXS loop-start. Loop-start is the default signaling on Cisco IOS FXS and FXO voice ports. In order to change it, issue the signal ground-start voice-port command. Reset the voice-port after any changes with the shutdown/no shutdown command sequence. This is the default setting. • Source - https://supportforums.cisco.com/document/15261/how-understand-and-configure-analog-fxo-or-fxs o Supervisory disconnect dualtone mid-call  supervisory disconnect - Configures supervisory disconnect signaling on the FXO port. Supervisory disconnect signaling is a power denial from the switch that lasts at least 350 ms. When this condition is detected, the system interprets this as a disconnect indication from the switch and clears the call. You should disable supervisory disconnect on the voice port if there is no supervisory disconnect available from the switch. Typically, supervisory disconnect is available when connecting to the PSTN and is enabled by default. When the connection extends out to a PBX, you should verify the documentation to ensure that supervisory disconnect is supported o Cptone [Country Code]  This command defines the detection of call-progress tones generated at the local interface. It does not affect any information passed to the remote end of a connection, and it does not define the detection of tones generated at the remote end of a connection. Use the cptone command to specify a regional analog voice interface-related default tone, ring, and cadence setting for a specified voice port. The current configured cptone setting is visible under the ‘show voice-port [port]’ command  voice class custom-cptone [WORD] • Adding to the voice-port o Voice-port 0/1/2 supervisory custom-cptone [WORD] • World Tone Database -http://www.3amsystems.com/World_Tone_Database?q=Ecuador,Audible_ring_tone o Dial-type  DTMF is set as default o trunk-group  An interface can belong to only one trunk group. Multiple interfaces can belong to the same trunk group.  Example • voice-port 0/1/3 trunk-group FXO connection plar opx 2001 caller-id enable  Dial-peer Example • dial-peer voice 1000 pots destination-pattern .T trunkgroup FXO o Ring Number Dial-peer Configuration ---------------------------------------- Because the incoming call is coming from the PBX into the FXO port, the router answers the call. We want the incoming call to ring a VoIP phone that is connected to CUCM, and because we have set connection plar opx 2001 command, the router is going to 'dial out', and we need to create a VoIP dial-peer for this. Example: dial-peer voice 5000 voip description ** POTS/FXO IN ** destination-pattern 2001 session target ipv4: (This is the IP of CUCM) dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric no vad dtmf-relay h245-alphanumeric -This is an out-of-band DTMF relay mechanism that transports the DTMF signals using H.245, which is the media control protocol of the H.323 protocol suite. Source – (http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/voice/cube/configuration/cube-book/dtmf-relay.html) We need to add our other dial-peers, for outbound calls through the FXO port. dial-peer voice 4000 pots trunkgroup FXO description ** TV CABLE POTS OUT LOCAL QUITO #'s ** destination-pattern [2-9]...... forward-digits all dial-peer voice 4001 pots trunkgroup FXO description ** TV CABLE POTS OUT LD/CELL #'s ** destination-pattern [01]........ forward-digits all Good Sources http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice/h323/15405-pbx-across-ip.html CUCM Configuration Checklist ------------------------------------------------- • Date/Time Group • Region • SIP Trunk • SIP Profile • Device pool for CUBE • Device pool for PHONES • Media Termination Point (MTP) • Media Resource Group (MRG) • Media Resource Group List (MRGL) • Partition • Calling Search Space (CSS) • Route Group • Route List • Route Pattern • Create H.323 Gateway

Hey PowerShell... Text me if my Domain Admins Group changes
This is why I Love PowerShell... It's simple, yet functional. From an Administrative perspective, I think we can all agree that any changes in your Domain Admins group without your knowledge would be of interest to you. If you’re in a large organization with access to enterprise management tools you probably have some widget that fires off a message to you or a group of people in the event a change is detected… or maybe you don’t. If you’re an admin at a small business and maybe even some medium sized businesses, you may not have access to those enterprise management tools and widgets. Turns out, we can use PowerShell to monitor any group for us and notify us when a change occurs. It’s actually pretty simple. You can even have PowerShell send you a text message… which is pretty cool. I’m using the script to keep an eye on my Domain Admins Group but you could easily adapt it to monitor services or processes. You might want to monitor your Exchange Servers Transport service, if it stops for whatever reason send me an email and text message. Network topology in Hindi | BUS | STAR | RING | MESH | TREE | HYBRID |
In This video I'm going talk about network topology like Bus network topology, Star network topology, Ring network topology, Mesh network topology, Tree network topology, Hybrid network topology, Logical network topology. ====================================================== What is network topology? Network topology is nothing especial but Design network. Network topology refers to the physical or logical layout of a network. It defines the way different nodes are placed and interconnected with each other. Alternately, network topology may describe how the data is transferred between these nodes. ====================================================== Type of Network topology There are two ways of defining network geometry: the physical topology and the logical topology. ====================================================== HOW MANY TYPE OF PHYSICAL TOPOLOGY? • BUS NETWORK TOPOLOGY • STAR NETWORK TOPOLOGY • RING NETWORK TOPOLOGY • MESH NETWORK TOPOLOGY • TREE NETWORK TOPOLOGY HYBRID NETWORK TOPOLOGY ======================================================WHAT IS BUS NETWORK TOPOLOGY? In the bus network topology, every workstation is connected to a main cable called the bus. Therefore, in effect, each workstation is directly connected to every other workstation in the network. Advantages of Bus Topology • Easy to connect a computer or peripheral to a linear bus. • Requires less cable length than a star topology. Disadvantages of Bus Topology • Entire network shuts down if there is a break in the main cable. • Terminators are required at both ends of the backbone cable. • Difficult to identify the problem if the entire network shuts down. • Not meant to be used as a stand-alone solution. ====================================================== STAR NETWORK TOPOLOGY? In the star network topology, there is a central computer or server to which all the workstations are directly connected. Every workstation is indirectly connected to every other through the central computer. Advantages of a Star Topology • Easy to install and wire. • No disruptions to the network when connecting or removing devices. • Easy to detect faults and to remove parts. Disadvantages of a Star Topology • Requires more cable length than a linear topology. • If the hub, switch, or concentrator fails, nodes attached are disabled. • More expensive than linear bus topologies because of the cost of the hubs, etc. ====================================================== RING NETWORK TOPOLOGY In the ring network topology, the workstations are connected in a closed loop configuration. Adjacent pairs of workstations are directly connected. Other pairs of workstations are indirectly connected, the data passing through one or more intermediate nodes. If a Token Ring protocol is used in a star or ring topology, the signal travels in only one direction, carried by a so-called token from node to node. Advantages of Ring topology: • Reduced chances of data collision as each node release a data packet after receiving the token. • Token passing makes ring topology perform better than bus topology under heavy traffic • No need of server to control connectivity among the nodes • Equal access to the resources Disadvantages of Ring topology: • In Unidirectional Ring, a data packet must pass through all the nodes. Ex: Let’s say A, B, C, D, and E are a part of the ring network. The data flow is from A towards B and henceforth. In this condition, if E wants to send a packet to D, the packet must traverse the entire network to reach D. • Single point of failure, that means if a node goes down entire network goes down ====================================================== MESH NETWORK TOPOLOGY The mesh network topology employs either of two schemes, called full mesh and partial mesh. In the full mesh topology, each workstation is connected directly to each of the others. In the partial mesh topology, some workstations are connected to all the others, and some are connected only to those other nodes with which they exchange the most data. Advantages of mesh topology: • Each connection can carry its own data load • It is robust • A fault is diagnosed easily • Provides security and privacy Disadvantages of mesh topology: • Installation and configuration are difficult if the connectivity gets more • Cabling cost is more and the most in case of a fully connected mesh topology • Bulk wiring is required ====================================================== TREE NETWORK TOPOLOGY The tree network topology uses two or more star networks connected together. The central computers of the star networks are connected to a main bus. Thus, a tree network is a bus network of star networks.
Sky Merger - Interacting And Colliding Galaxies
http://www.facebook.com/ScienceReason ... Hubblecast 31: Sky merger yields sparkling dividends. A recent NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope image captures what appears to be one very bright and bizarre galaxy, but is actually the result of a pair of spiral galaxies, like our own Milky Way smashing together at breakneck speeds. The product of this dramatic collision, called NGC 2623, or Arp 243, is about 250 million light-years away in the constellation of Cancer (the Crab). This object was a target of Hubble's and a handful of its "sibling" spacecraft as part of a massive comprehensive sky survey called GOALS. --- Please SUBSCRIBE to Science & Reason: • http://www.youtube.com/Best0fScience • http://www.youtube.com/ScienceTV • http://www.youtube.com/FFreeThinker --- Not surprisingly, interacting galaxies have a dramatic effect on each other. Studies have revealed that as galaxies approach one another massive amounts of gas are pulled from each galaxy towards the centre of the other, until ultimately, the two merge into one massive galaxy. The object in the image, NGC 2623, is in the late stages of the merging process with the centres of the original galaxy pair now merged into one nucleus. However, stretching out from the centre are two tidal tails of young stars showing that a merger has taken place. During such a collision, the dramatic exchange of mass and gases initiates star formation, seen here in both the tails. The prominent lower tail is richly populated with bright star clusters -- 100 of them have been found in these observations. The large star clusters that the team have observed in the merged galaxy are brighter than the brightest clusters we see in our own vicinity. These star clusters may have formed as part of a loop of stretched material associated with the northern tail, or they may have formed from debris falling back onto the nucleus. In addition to this active star-forming region, both galactic arms harbour very young stars in the early stages of their evolutionary journey. Some mergers (including NGC 2623) can result in an active galactic nucleus, where one of the supermassive black holes found at the centres of the two original galaxies is stirred into action. Matter is pulled toward the black hole, forming an accretion disc. The energy released by the frenzied motion heats up the disc, causing it to emit across a wide swath of the electromagnetic spectrum. NGC 2623 is so bright in the infrared that it belongs to the group of very luminous infrared galaxies (LIRG) and has been extensively studied as the part of the Great Observatories All-sky LIRG Survey (GOALS) project that combines data from some of the most advanced space-based telescopes, including Hubble. Additional data from infrared and X-ray telescopes can further characterise objects like active galactic nuclei and nuclear star formation by revealing what is unseen at visible wavelengths. The GOALS project includes data from NASA/ESA's Hubble Space Telescope, NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope, NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory and NASA's Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX). The joint efforts of these powerful observing facilities have provided a clearer picture of our local Universe. Thermal Imaging Analysis – easy as PI with OSIsoft at Cisco Live
Danilo Ribeiro, Strategic Alliance Program Manager from OSIsoft, talks about Fog Computing and thermal imaging analytics at the edge using OSISoft’ PI System and Cisco IoX. The PI System is used by most industrial companies to capture real-time data and events and manage an historian, interfacing to critical ERP, BI, process monitoring and office systems. Danilo’s demonstration shows a thermal imaging camera detecting a gas ‘flare’ from the field (in the demo it’s a heat source mounted above the booth in this case to show the real-time data capture). The OSIsoft system is able to detect the anomaly and alert remote operators rapidly so that corrective action can be taken. Find out more: http://bddy.me/1O8Mbqb. Developmental Origins of Brain Circuit Architecture and Psychiatric Disorders (Day 2)
Developmental Origins of Brain Circuit Architecture and Psychiatric Disorders (Day 2) Air date: Friday, November 30, 2018, 8:30:00 AM Category: Conferences Runtime: 07:35:37 Description: Developmental neurobiology is a critical ingredient for understanding the structure and function of the human brain. Classical anatomists recognized that the brain’s component architecture is most accurately seen through the lens of neurodevelopment. This principle has been further applied to understand the brain’s internal connections, capacity for learning, and functional maturation. By drawing together researchers from different fields, this symposium aims to generate healthy discussion and debate on how advances in neurodevelopment have shaped and will continue to shape, our understanding of brain architecture and function, both in health and in psychiatric disorders. 50 Years of Automated Driving at Continental in Hanover (English Subtitles)
What only very few people know is that half a century ago already, an automated car circled the legendary Contidrom in Hanover: the then brand-new Mercedes Stroke-Eight! We show previously unknown footage, talk to the pioneers from back in the day and experience the "Cruising Chauffeur" on the German Autobahn: the current state of research and development on automated driving at Continental. Additionally, we dive into the history of the 114/115 series "E-Class", which Mercedes enthusiast Frank Kellewald presents to us at the end of this video. Note: This film is an advertisement. Continental invited us to the Contidrom as part of their "50 Years of Driverless Driving" event and covered the production costs for this video. #Conti #MercedesBenz #Contidrom #StrichAcht

What is FISH ANATOMY? What does FISH ANATOMY mean? FISH ANATOMY meaning, definition & explanation
What is FISH ANATOMY? What does FISH ANATOMY mean? FISH ANATOMY meaning, - FISH ANATOMY definition - FISH ANATOMY explanation. Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Fish anatomy is the study of the form or morphology of fishes. It can be contrasted with fish physiology, which is the study of how the component parts of fish function together in the living fish. In practice, fish anatomy and fish physiology complement each other, the former dealing with the structure of a fish, its organs or component parts and how they are put together, such as might be observed on the dissecting table or under the microscope, and the latter dealing with how those components function together in living fish. The anatomy of fish is often shaped by the physical characteristics of water, the medium in which fish live. Water is much denser than air, holds a relatively small amount of dissolved oxygen, and absorbs more light than air does. The body of a fish is divided into a head, trunk and tail, although the divisions between the three are not always externally visible. The skeleton, which forms the support structure inside the fish, is either made of cartilage, in cartilaginous fish, or bone in bony fish. The main skeletal element is the vertebral column, composed of articulating vertebrae which are lightweight yet strong. The ribs attach to the spine and there are no limbs or limb girdles. The main external features of the fish, the fins, are composed of either bony or soft spines called rays which, with the exception of the caudal fins, have no direct connection with the spine. They are supported by the muscles which compose the main part of the trunk. The heart has two chambers and pumps the blood through the respiratory surfaces of the gills and on round the body in a single circulatory loop. The eyes are adapted for seeing underwater and have only local vision. There is an inner ear but no external or middle ear. Low frequency vibrations are detected by the lateral line system of sense organs that run along the length of the sides of fish, and these respond to nearby movements and to changes in water pressure. Sharks and rays are basal fish with numerous primitive anatomical features similar to those of ancient fish, including skeletons composed of cartilage. Their bodies tend to be dorso-ventrally flattened, they usually have five pairs of gill slits and a large mouth set on the underside of the head. The dermis is covered with separate dermal placoid scales. They have a cloaca into which the urinary and genital passages open, but not a swim bladder. Cartilaginous fish produce a small number of large, yolky eggs. Some species are ovoviviparous and the young develop internally but others are oviparous and the larvae develop externally in egg cases. The bony fish lineage shows more derived anatomical traits, often with major evolutionary changes from the features of ancient fish. They have a bony skeleton, are generally laterally flattened, have five pairs of gills protected by an operculum, and a mouth at or near the tip of the snout. The dermis is covered with overlapping scales. Bony fish have a swim bladder which helps them maintain a constant depth in the water column, but not a cloaca. They mostly spawn a large number of small eggs with little yolk which they broadcast into the water column.

The Time Traders by Andre Norton
If it is possible to conquer space, then perhaps it is also possible to conquer time. At least that was the theory American scientists were exploring in an effort to explain the new sources of knowledge the Russians possessed. Perhaps Russian scientists had discovered how to transport themselves back in time in order to learn long-forgotten secrets of the past. That was why young Ross Murdock, above average in intelligence but a belligerently independent nonconformist, found himself on a "hush-hush" government project at a secret base in the Arctic. The very qualities that made him a menace in civilized society were valuable traits in a man who must successfully act the part of a merchant trader of the Beaker people during the Bronze Age. For once they were transferred by time machine to the remote Baltic region where the Russian post was located, Ross and his partner Ashe were swept into a fantastic action-filled adventure involving Russians, superstitious prehistoric men, and the aliens of a lost galactic civilization that demanded every ounce of courage the Americans possessed. Google Assistant can now continue conversations with you
Google Assistant can now continue conversations with you: http://bgr.com/2018/06/21/google-assistant-continued-conversation-feature/. Thanks for watching, subscribe for more videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC68ZjqRTLFegIuA5PZhbgMA?sub_confirmation=1  Google on Thursday announced that an exciting new Google Assistant feature first demoed at I/O 2018 in May is ready to roll out to US users. Called Continued Conversations, the new feature will let speak multiple commands in a way that mimics real-life conversations between two people.  That’s a pretty huge advancement for the Assistant, as you won’t need to say the usual “Hey Google” before each interaction with a smart speaker, as long as all the questions and commands are issued during the same exchange.    Don't Miss: The best-selling Bluetooth headphones on Amazon’s entire site are just $28 right now  So how does this all work? Well, you still have to say “Hey Google,” “OK Google,” or press a physical button to wake the Assistant. Once that’s done, you can have a continuous conversation with the Assistant until you say “thank you” or “stop.” Google offered one such exchange as an example:  So next time you wake up and the skies are grey, just ask “Hey Google, what’s the weather today?”… “And what about tomorrow?”… “Can you add a rain jacket to my shopping list”… “And remind me to bring an umbrella tomorrow morning”…“Thank you!”  The Assistant will stay active for eight seconds at most if it does not detect any new conversation, and the LEDs will be turned on for the entire duration of the conversation to let you know it’s recording. Obviously, if it recognizes that you’re issuing additional commands, it’ll continue to stay active.  To enable Continued Conversation, you’ll have to go to the Assistant Settings on at least one device, then Preferences, and then Continued Conversation. Once you’ve activated it, the feature will be available on all smart speakers set up under your account.  If you want to review your interactions with Assistant, you’ll be able to do it inside Google’s online My Activity section. Fix : Automatic Refresh Failed issue in Server Manager in Windows Server 2012
Hi Friends, Its been a long time since I uploaded the last video. Thank you guys for your great responses. Today we are going to see how to resolve the situation where server gives a red flag with error "Automatic Refresh Failed." and "Server manager is collecting Inventory Data. The wizard will be available after data collection finishes." Generaly this error appears when you try to add/remove roles from server manager. So on my Server 2k12 which is installed on virtual machine, when I tried to add roles on it, it gave me the following error : "Server manager is collecting Inventory Data. The wizard will be available after data collection finishes." Further when I tried to refresh the server manager, it shows "Refresh Failed". No metter how many times you try to refresh it, the count of failure here increases with each click. And when you click on the Red Flag here, it shows the Automatic Refresh Failed. So this is a frustrating situation where you wont be able to add/remove roles or features or any other activity on server manager. So in order to resolve this issue, open command prompt with Administrative Rights. You can do that by right clicking on CMD and then click on "Run as Administrator". Change the default directory to C:\Windows\System32 Once you do that, type the following command. dir /a /S *.MOF This command will search all the .mof files. It is the file format for Windows Management Object files. WMI data (such as definitions of namespaces, classes, instances, or providers) are sometimes represented in MOF files. Now change the directory path to wbem by typing CD Wbem and then cd AutoRecover. now type this simple command for /f %s in ('dir /b *.mof *.mfl') do mofcomp %s and hit enter. It will Recover all the .mof files that have been currupted and created an issue with Server Manager. It will take some time to recover all the files. Once it gets completed, type Exit to close the Command Prompt. Now go to the server manager and click on Refresh Icon and then click on Red Flag to check the status. You can see the server refresh is in progress instead of giving an error "refresh failed".
