Critical Incident Analysis

00:51
Critical incident analysis: Critical incidents classroom means any kind of significant incident which require a decision on the part of the teacher and which involve teacher-pupil, teacher-parent, and teacher-administrator relationships. Examines the implication of such factors as having students stay after school, fighting in the classroom, grading, seating arrangement, shyness, and grade placement. Explains there are two parts to the decision-making process: determining whether or not a problem exists and then identifying alternative strategies for dealing with it.i have a story of my own school classroom. Which I present with the help of pictures with description. Finding of the story: Teacher must know the background information/ facts of incident before going to act upon it. Teacher should deal with the student with supportive manner. Parent teacher interaction is very key factor in child education. Give honor and love to child , he / she will act accordingly. Critical Incident Investigation

01:37
All incidents have causes. In the future, similar incidents can be prevented if these causes are identified and eliminated. However, if the causes are not identified and eliminated, the same type of incident may occur again. There are often four, five, or more root causes of an incident. In an investigation, you must identify as many of these causes as possible. It is important that all incidents are reported and investigated in a consistent way, as this will make analysis much easier. Upon completion of this course you will be able to: - Provide accurate and detailed information on incidents for analysis and reference, - Compile statistical data on the cost of incidents, - Identify the direct and indirect causes of incidents, and - Create and maintain an incident database to assist in hazard identification and risk assessment. You will need approximately 2 hours to complete this course. About HSE Library The Health, Safety and Environment Resource Library (HSE) provides health and safety online courses and certificates to meet the demand in workplace occupational health and safety for a more skilled, competent, and safe workforce. Analysis by IRSN of the Fukushima Daiichi accident of March 2011

01:09:38
On March 11, 2011, the earthquake that occurred off the eastern coast of the Island of Honshu in Japan and the ensuing tsunami devastated the Japanese territory in the Tohoku region, causing widespread destruction of local infrastructures and untold suffering for the local population. The natural catastrophe also caused major damage to the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant, which led to a core meltdown in three nuclear reactors and loss of cooling for several fuel storage pools. Large amounts of radioactive materials were released into the environment. The accident was rated Level 7 on the International Nuclear Event Scale. Beginning on March 11th, IRSN took action to analyze the ongoing crisis and the probable radiological consequences of the nuclear accident, in order to provide the President of France, the French authorities and competent agencies, the Nuclear Safety Authority, elected officials and the French Ambassador to Japan with up-to-date information during the critical phases of the accident. IRSN has also performed an extensive analysis of the supplementary safety reviews recently conducted on French nuclear facilities in order to draw the initial conclusions concerning the accident. A more in-depth analysis of the events that took place is still necessary however, to obtain more precise operational feedback about the events. This film has been made to help viewers better understand the events that took place at Fukushima. In its current version, the film focuses entirely on the events that resulted in a core meltdown in three of the reactors at Fukushima. The management of the cooling systems for the fuel storage pools, the impact of the accident on plant employees, on the local population and on the environment, are not covered in the film.

SANS DFIR WebCast - Super Timeline Analysis

02:13:01
Rob Lee will expand on the lab material he presented at HTCIA International Conference and Training Expo 2011 delivering an exciting and valuable webcast both for those who attended the labs as well as those who were unable to attend. HTCIA will kick off this exciting webcast with a recap of the HTCIA 2011 Conference and a preview of 2012. Over the past year investigators have started to use timeline analysis to help solve challenging cases. Learn how to create and analyze automatic file system and artifact timelines during incident response and criminal investigations. Utilizing advances in spear phishing, web application attacks, and persistent malware these new sophisticated attackers advance rapidly through your network. Forensic investigators must master a variety of operating systems, investigation techniques, and incident response tactics to solve challenging cases. Temporal data is located everywhere on a computer system. File system MAC times, log files, network data, registry data, internet history files and file metadata all contain time data that can be correlated into critical analysis to successfully solve cases. While utilized first by my team in AFOSI in 2001, timeline analysis has become a critical investigative technique to solve complex cases. Until recently, timeline analysis frameworks have not existed to easily allow multiple examinations of time based data into a single framework that is easily analyzed by investigators. Learn via this hands-on practical webcast that will permanently change your approach to forensic cases. http://computer-forensics.sans.org/
