Try it, google "SEO" and you'll see that NeilPatel.com is ranked on Google's first page. How'd I do it? Watch this video: ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog I'm going to let you in on a little secret, but you have to make a promise to me. You can't use this against me. I rank for the most competitive term on Google, on page one. You know what that term is? SEO, I'm competing with other marketers who know what they're doing. That's harder than just competing with other companies. I'm competing with companies with money that know what they're doing. And I'm on page one for the term SEO. And I'm going to show you the exact steps I took to rank there, but again, you have to promise not to use this for that term so that you would outrank me. #1: Your content needs to be super-detailed and thorough If it's not thorough, like pillar content. What I mean by pillar content is, that one piece of content that pretty much explains everything out there under the sun for that one topic. You know what the number-one result for SEO is? It's Moz; it's The Beginner's Guide to SEO. It's long, and it discusses everything about SEO, from how to do it, what it's about, how it got started, every little thing and every tactic or formula that Google's looking at to rank a site. Now, my content doesn't rank us high, but if you notice, the content on Neil Patel isn't as thorough. And you don't have to be as thorough, but it just shows, the more detailed you are, the better off you're going to be in rankings. #2: Your content needs to be beautiful The better-designed and the more beautiful it is, the better-off you are. People don't like looking at ugly stuff. I don't like looking at ugly web pages. No one else does either. Make sure your stuff is really pretty. #3: It has to load fast. If it doesn't load fast, it's not gonna work for most people, especially on their mobile phones. They're pulling out their mobile phone, they're like, oh, this is taking forever to load. More than 50% of the people using Google are on their mobile phone or mobile device. So make sure your site loads fast, and especially that webpage that you're trying to rank. #4: After you do that, cross-link that post or that pillar page on every other page on your website. If you go to Neil Patel and you go to any single blog post, you'll notice that I link to my SEO article. It's providing more juice; it's telling Google, hey, I'm linking to this article on every single page for a reason. It's important; I find it important, I want users to know it's important. They're clicking on it; you should rank it high up as well. #5 The next thing you need to do is use Ahrefs. Go, type in your competitor URLs, and see who links to them. Hit up all of those people and ask them for a link. For example, you can send them a short email saying, "Hey John, I noticed you're linking to X, Y, and Z site. I have a similar article that came out, but mine covers one, two, and three that their article didn't. Feel free to check it out here, and if you like it, link to it. Cheers, Neil." And leaving an email like that to other people leave to your competitors will cause more links back to you. If you send 100 of those, you should get roughly five people linking back to you. If you don't get five linking back to you, that means the email you're sending is too irrelevant people that shouldn't be linking to you in the first place. #6 The next thing you'll want to do is, be patient. You're not going to rank right away. That page, after it was put up, it took a year and a half before it popped onto the first page. You have to be patient and continually update it, provide more value, make it prettier design. But as long as you're keeping everything up-to-date and you're patient, eventually you'll notice that your rankings will climb. Mine went from being in the top thousand to top hundred to page five, to page four, to three, to two, and eventually page one. It was a slow, gradual build. #7 And here's the last tip for you, and this is what most people don't tell you when it comes to ranking. If you have two sites, General Motors and BMW, they both have a lot of links, they both have billions of dollars to spend on SEO and marketing. So how does Google know which one to rank higher for car-related terms? It's brand-related. If Google noticed that more people are searching for BMW over General Motors, what are they going to do? They're going to start ranking BMW higher because they have a bigger brand.

SEO For Beginners: 3 Powerful SEO Tips to Rank #1 on Google in 2019 Are you new to SEO and want to rank #1 on google this upcoming year? Here are 3 SEO strategies that will boost your rankings! #1: Focus on content Google has this update called Hummingbird, and with Hummingbird, websites who just have content on everything won't do as well as sites which focus on one single niche and are super thorough. You want to be VERY thorough with your SEO content. Poke holes in your content and fill them all up, so then that way people are like, "This is the end all site "that you should end up reading "if you're interested in dating online." #2: Optimize your title tag and your meta description Have you ever done a Google search, and noticed that every time you do it, there is this link at the top, and then there's this one sentence with a link at the top is called the title tag. And the description below is called the meta description. Now think of it this way, if you search for the phrase online dating, and you don't see the word online dating in neither the title or the description, are you going to click on the result? Well if you are, there's something wrong, because why would you click on a result that isn't related to what you're looking for? In addition to that, have you ever searched for a term like online dating? And have you ever noticed that the word isn't in the title or description? That's because Google tracks who's clicking on what listing, and they've learned that when a keyword is in the listing, that same keyword that you're searching for, they know you're way more likely to click through. So in your title tag and your meta description, make sure you include the keyword. But you can't just add the keyword, "online dating," right? The easiest way and what I would do and I wish it was this simple; I will just put "online dating, online dating, online dating, online dating." If I could put it 20 times so people would know that the article is on online dating, I wish I would get more clicks. But it's not that simple. Yes you have to include the keyword in your title and your description, but it has to be appealing. If it doesn't flow in a sentence, it's not easy to read, and it's not appealing or evoking curiosity, no one is gonna click through. #3: Use Google Search Console Did you know that Google gives you a tool that teaches you how to rank number one on Google? Yes I know that sounds ridiculous but it is true, and it's called Google Search Console. If you're not already a user of it, sign up. It doesn't cost a dollar. You're missing out if you're not using it. I can't emphasize that enough. So now that you're using Google Search Console...give it a few days because it takes some time to populate data. You'll see a screen that shows Search Analytics and this shows you all the pages on your website that are getting you traffic. But the cool thing about Google Search Console is they also show you which articles are getting impressions. Take all the keywords you're getting impressions for and start adding them to your copy. Now we have an article on Instagram, and it teaches you how to get over 300 targeted Instagram followers per day. The article is around 10,000 words. When I first wrote that article, it wasn't 10,000 words, it was roughly 2,500. I went to Google Search Console, I saw all the people that are searching for terms related to the article, I added them within that article. I made it more thorough and you know what? My SEO traffic more than tripled to that article. Yes it is that simple. And when I made that change, it didn't happen right away, but I noticed the results within 50 days. That's not a long time. Now that you've learned these three tips, I challenge you in which I want you to take these tactics and implement them, and then after you implement them, in the next 45 days I want you to leave a comment with your results. Because if you're not doing well, that means I'm not happy. My son and I play Fortnite every once and a while, and built into the game are weekly challenges that unlock new items. They're pretty fun to accomplish and keep the game exciting for us, and of course the 200 million active users on the platform. One day, to help learn where certain items were on the map, I used Google and in my research I discovered that Forbes Magazine, the giant business, investment and lifestyle publication ranks #1 for many of these challenges. It was super weird to me to see Forbes writing articles, weekly, about Fortnite, helping random gamers like me and my son solve these puzzles and challenges. They are capitalizing on a trend, but the question is, is this the right thing to do. In this video, we talk about the advantages and disadvantages of staying in your lane. What do you think? Does this dilute the Forbes brand, or are they smart to get traffic to these articles since they've built the authority and platform to, really, publish and rank for whatever they want. Struggling to create search engine optimized content that gets traffic and grows your authority? This SEO hack is exactly how I force Google to give me the most optimized keyword phrases to search engine optimized content fast. This video is all about quickly creating SEO friendly content, fast! If you are taking this video in series, you would first need to go through the keyword research video which is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_FfdjNOgpQ The keyword tool I use is here: https://www.milesbeckler.com/kwfinder The follow-up to this video is how to actually lay out the search engine optimized post on your WordPress blog… Which I cover in detail here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8EI6JaFbv4 If you are looking for the honeypot of all my other SEO and keyword research related videos to hyper-optimize your WordPress blog for the search engines… They can all be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu5lo2_WC1c&index=3&list=PL0sOKzn__yK2dufOveT6OWr-3mMdNAIYL In this video I choose a random keyword phrase as if I was an authority niche marketer in that space. This is where we begin so I can build the process of creating SEO optimized content focused on ranking a specific keyword. From within the keyword tool I pulled my main focus keyword and then the three supporting keywords that are most relevant to the topic. From here we go to Google and we actually leverage googles data it reveals to us on the search engine results page 2 further optimize and focus our content piece to support our main keyword phrase and the most relevant keyword phrases in Google's eyes. This is how we are able to leverage googles data and information to create the most SEO friendly content possible. At this point we have pulled all of the keyword phrases and data into a random notepad… Or Word document. The next step is to expand upon these keyword phrases so they become essentially are heading tags or H1 and H2 tags. We now organize these keyword focused headings in a logical order that would make sense to the reader who finds your content from a relevant search phrase. Then we expand upon each of these headings to come up with the main sub points that would support that heading and support the overall keyword phrase and topic of the piece. At this point you have a very simple outline that is search engine optimized for success. You simply need to add a few sentences to each sub point in order to really make this piece of content come alive. If you are new in a niche you can research each of the subpoints effectively to create the content on the fly.... If you are an expert in the niche you will simply share your thoughts your insights from your years of experience to communicate to the reader why that point is so important. When you are done you have a piece of content that is ready to be published on your SEO friendly WordPress blog. If you are making videos, you can use the same process to create outlines to get the main points you will speak about in your videos. This becomes a great tool to leverage after the video is completed so you can turn your video into and optimize blog post quickly, too. The real trick to the SEO game is to publish hundreds of these search engine optimized mega posts quickly. This is why recommend doing a 90 day challenge where you publish one post per day for 90 days. You can learn more about that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnmXqesXls8 Completing a 90 day challenge is an amazing feat, but it is also just the starting point… The goal is to continue to publish highly optimized content for the search engines day in, day out, for years on end! This is the type of work and the level of intensity required to truly create success with your online business.

rank and dense_rank example difference between rank and dense_rank with example rank vs dense_rank in sql server 2008 sql server difference between rank and dense_rank In this video we will discuss Rank and Dense_Rank functions in SQL Server Rank and Dense_Rank functions Introduced in SQL Server 2005 Returns a rank starting at 1 based on the ordering of rows imposed by the ORDER BY clause ORDER BY clause is required PARTITION BY clause is optional When the data is partitioned, rank is reset to 1 when the partition changes Difference between Rank and Dense_Rank functions Rank function skips ranking(s) if there is a tie where as Dense_Rank will not. For example : If you have 2 rows at rank 1 and you have 5 rows in total. RANK() returns - 1, 1, 3, 4, 5 DENSE_RANK returns - 1, 1, 2, 3, 4 Syntax : RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Col1, Col2, ...) DENSE_RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Col1, Col2, ...) RANK() and DENSE_RANK() functions without PARTITION BY clause : In this example, data is not partitioned, so RANK() function provides a consecutive numbering except when there is a tie. Rank 2 is skipped as there are 2 rows at rank 1. The third row gets rank 3. DENSE_RANK() on the other hand will not skip ranks if there is a tie. The first 2 rows get rank 1. Third row gets rank 2. SELECT Name, Salary, Gender, RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS [Rank], DENSE_RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS DenseRank FROM Employees RANK() and DENSE_RANK() functions with PARTITION BY clause : Notice when the partition changes from Female to Male Rank is reset to 1 SELECT Name, Salary, Gender, RANK() OVER (PARTITION BY Gender ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS [Rank], DENSE_RANK() OVER (PARTITION BY Gender ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS DenseRank FROM Employees Use case for RANK and DENSE_RANK functions : Both these functions can be used to find Nth highest salary. However, which function to use depends on what you want to do when there is a tie. Let me explain with an example. If there are 2 employees with the FIRST highest salary, there are 2 different business cases 1. If your business case is, not to produce any result for the SECOND highest salary, then use RANK function 2. If your business case is to return the next Salary after the tied rows as the SECOND highest Salary, then use DENSE_RANK function Since we have 2 Employees with the FIRST highest salary. Rank() function will not return any rows for the SECOND highest Salary. WITH Result AS ( SELECT Salary, RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS Salary_Rank FROM Employees ) SELECT TOP 1 Salary FROM Result WHERE Salary_Rank = 2 Though we have 2 Employees with the FIRST highest salary. Dense_Rank() function returns, the next Salary after the tied rows as the SECOND highest Salary WITH Result AS ( SELECT Salary, DENSE_RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS Salary_Rank FROM Employees ) SELECT TOP 1 Salary FROM Result WHERE Salary_Rank = 2 You can also use RANK and DENSE_RANK functions to find the Nth highest Salary among Male or Female employee groups. The following query finds the 3rd highest salary amount paid among the Female employees group WITH Result AS ( SELECT Salary, Gender, DENSE_RANK() OVER (PARTITION BY Gender ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS Salary_Rank FROM Employees ) SELECT TOP 1 Salary FROM Result WHERE Salary_Rank = 3 AND Gender = 'Female' Text version of the video http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/10/rank-and-denserank-in-sql-server.html Slides http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/2015/10/rank-and-denserank-in-sql-server_1.html All SQL Server Text Articles http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/p/free-sql-server-video-tutorials-for.html All SQL Server Slides http://csharp-video-tutorials.blogspot.com/p/sql-server.html All Dot Net and SQL Server Tutorials in English https://www.youtube.com/user/kudvenkat/playlists?view=1&sort=dd All Dot Net and SQL Server Tutorials in Arabic https://www.youtube.com/c/KudvenkatArabic/playlists

Build 147 backlinks to power up your SEO writing: https://goo.gl/hhLpiW [Updated: Nov 10th 2018] Discover the words that will provide the highest ranking and best quality score to boost relevance and traffic to your website. These rules still apply for 2018 and will likely continue to apply beyond. The three main factors we will be looking at for bettering your SEO copywriting are: 1. The words that produce the highest rankings 2. Negative footprints & positive footprints 3. Techniques and examples on how to find these golden words But before we start, one of the main rules to follow is to forget about the old rules that no longer work… you know the rules I am referring to, those rules that everyone is applying and BECAUSE everyone is applying them, they no longer work. For example, do not keyword stuff, do not word stuff & do not repeat the same thing over and over again. But rather we want to optimise as much as possible while writing naturally for the user. Remember, Google is trying to replicate human behaviour, so why not write for humans (after all it is humans that are going to be finding your site… but ONLY if Google ranks it) The basics: - Have a title that contains the keyword - Have an H1 header in the article that is relevant to the keyword - Add multiple sub-headers (H2s) that are relevant to the keyword. This increases the chances of ranking for related terms to your keyword too. Now for the content and the words to choose to use: - One tip is to search your keyword and see what the top 10 ten results on Google shows. If those results are on the first page of Google, then you will want to consider at the very least the sub-headers they have used. - Then find related Wikipedia article(s) and note the major categories being discussed. - Once again do a search for your keyword and at the bottom of Google’s search results look at the “Searches related to keyword”. Writing the first draft: 1. The first paragraph of the article should contain a heavy amount of words relating to your main keyword. The reason for this is that Google will recognise these related words and recognise very quickly what your article is about, particularly as those words are related to your H1 header (I.e. your keyword). 2. Your exact keyword should NOT be over used in the article. Use it once, possible twice depending on the length of your article. However, be sure the keyword reads naturally and does not look like you have just randomly placed it anywhere within the content. 3. After the first paragraph, you can be less restrictive and write naturally about the subject matter. For more information, watch the video. - Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1289120037852154/

I rank number one for one of the most competitive keywords out there on Google. ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog Can you take a guess what it is? It's online marketing. Guess how much money that one keyword makes me? Little to nothing. Why? Because I picked the wrong keyword to rank number one for. Today I'm going to share with you how to find the right keywords to rank number one on Google. The first tip I have for you is to put your top competitor's URL in semrush. Semrush will show you the most popular pages that your competitors are getting traffic for. This will give you ideas of what your competitors are doing and how you can find the right keywords to rank for. If your competitors are bigger than you, they probably know what they're doing, and they're probably going after keywords and traffic, that convert into leads and sales. Once you've figured out their most popular pages, take those pages and put them into ahrefs. Ahrefs will show you how many links each of those pages have, and you know what the hardest thing is to do? Build Links. What you want to do is look for the most popular pages that have the least amount of links. Those are the pages you should be focusing on first. It'll give you ideas on all the keywords that your competitors are ranking for when they don't have a ton of backlinks. That'll give you an idea of the right keywords you should be targeting first, because not only will they drive you a lot of traffic, but they're the lease competitive because you don't have to build backlinks. The second tip I have for you is to use Google Search Console to find the right keywords to rank for on Google. Did you know that Google gives you a free tool that helps you rank number one? It's called Google Search Console. It breaks down all of your rankings, the keywords that your pages are getting traffic for, and even the positioning as page 1, page 2 and page 3. It breaks down exactly where you're ranking. The cool part about Google Search Console keyword planner is when you dive deep into each of your pages using the search analytics, it shows you all of the impressions that you're getting for keywords that you're on the bottom of page one for. You want to go after the keywords that you're at the bottom of page one for because it's way easier to rank number one for a keyword that you're already on the first page for, versus going after a brand new keyword that you're not even in the top hundred for. Going after a brand new keyword that you're not even in the top hundred for is a lot more work than going after one that you're already on the bottom of page one for. Google Search Console can show you keywords that you're not even trying to go after, but yet they drive traffic, and they convert visitors into customers. Go to your landing page, and make sure that those keywords are in your title tag, your meta description, your heading tag, and within the content of your page. By doing that, you'll slowly start increasing your rankings for those pages that you're at the bottom of page one for. The last tip I have for you to find amazing keywords is to use Google Trends. It's another free tool by Google. It breaks down keyword traffic from web images, news. This breaks down what keywords are climbing in popularity, and you wanna go after the keywords that aren't popular but are climbing. For example, Apple has a ton iPhones, right? If they're going to release the iPhone 100, you want to talk about it before everyone else is talking about it, because the moment you're one of the first adopters, one of the factors that Google has when it comes to rankings is time. It's hard to outrank older pages. It's not impossible, it's just harder, so why not be one of the first people to blog about new terms that aren't popular yet. Try to blog about new upcoming keywords, because you're not going to get traffic from them right away, but in two, three months, or even a year, you're going to be dominating, because no one else went after those keywords before you did. Just think about green tea, and acai berries, and all of those hot crazy nutrition terms. Yes, they're really popular now, and they're buzz words, but back in the day, no one was really looking at them. If you're not sure what keywords are up and coming, just tell me the keyword, or link in the comments below using the Google Trends link, and I'll tell you if it's the right keyword, or a negative keyword, if it's up and coming, or it's declining. That way you're not wasting your time writing articles on stuff that won't be popular. And if you need help with digital or online marketing make sure to leave your questions in the comments!

Today you're going to learn EXACTLY how to rank in Google (step-by-step). In fact, in this video I'm going to show you the exact process that I used to rank #1 for "list building". With that, here's a quick overview of what's in the video: You already know that "great content" is a big part of ranking in Google. But what does "great content" mean exactly? Well, as it turns out, there's a certain TYPE of content that performs best for SEO. Next, I show you some of my favorite on-page SEO strategies. And no, I'm not talking about old school stuff like "keyword stuffing". Instead, you're going to see how to improve your Google rankings with modern-day SEO strategies (like internal linking). Then, you'll learn about one of the biggest changes in the world of search engine optimization over the last few years (and how to optimize for it). Finally, you'll learn how to promote your content so that you get more social shares and backlinks to your content. I'll also show you real-life examples of how I use these SEO tips on my site. And before I end the video, I reveal a bonus SEO tip that I've been using a lot lately. This single tip has helped improve my Google rankings for some very competitive keywords. In short, this video will show you actionable ways to rank in Google in 2018. It's not 2010 anymore. Keyword research and SEO isn't as easy as it used to be. So what should you do? ►►Subscribe here to learn more of my secret SEO tips: https://goo.gl/ScRTwc Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/neilkpatel/ Read more on my blog: https://neilpatel.com/blog I'm going to share with you how to do keyword research in today's world of Google. It's way more difficult to rank on Google today than it was back in the day. Keyword Research Tip #1: Pick a niche. Everyone's talking about going after big terms like auto insurance, SEO, credit cards. Yes, you can eventually get there, but it takes six months to see traction with Google these days, 12 months to start seeing your traffic go up, and two years to be crushing it on Google. You want to go after and pick small niches. Keyword Research Tip #2: Pick buzzwords that are trending. Technology is moving so fast these days that things are continually changing. Whether it's cryptocurrencies or whether it's new products that are coming out like the iPhone 100. Go after new, upcoming words. You can find them using Google Trends. Google Trends breaks down what's hot and what's up and coming. You want to go after these keyword terms because they're not that competitive yet. When you create content around new and trendy keywords, you're gonna skyrocket to the top way faster than if you went after old terms like "credit cards." Keyword Research Tip #3: Use Ubersuggest to find keywords. These days people just don't type in keywords like "dog food." They'll type in keywords like "what dog food is best for my animal" or "what dog food is great to make my dog lose weight." These are really popular terms. Ubersuggest will show you different variations of your primary keyword, and it'll even show you how competitive they are, how much search volume you're going to get, and how many people are going to click on your listing if you rank number one, two, or number 10. Keyword Research Tip #4: Use Quora. Type in keywords related to your industry, and you're going to see the most popular questions people are asking. When you start seeing the most popular questions, you'll know what kind of content to create that's related to your space. By creating answers on your blog that are more thorough, more detailed, you're not only going to rank for it, but you're going to rank higher because you can create way more detailed responses than Quora itself. Keyword Research Tip #5: Focus on a theme. If you're going after credit cards, you want to have a website all about credit cards, like Credit Karma. Or you want to have a site all about marketing and SEO like me on NeilPatel.com. If you want to get long tail traffic, what you need to do is create detailed content about specific individual topics. When I say detailed topics, I'm NOT talking about "how to start an e-commerce site: I'm talking about "how to start an e-commerce site with Shopify." You see how much more specific that is? You can create another article on how to create an e-commerce site using Magento. By getting very specific you can have a 10,000-word blog post and everything about setting it up with Shopify or Magento, you're going to dominate. By being specific, anyone who's interested in that topic and even potentially interested in hiring consultants or buying products or plugins or whatever you're selling related to that topic, they're going to land on your website. When Google releases an update, they're going to rank the most thorough website. That's why Wikipedia does well. It's not just because they have a lot of links or brand queries. It's because Wikipedia has some of the most detailed articles on the web. That's what you need to do with your content. Create pages that are super thorough and detailed are high in quality. When you do that, you'll notice that you'll start ranking for all the keywords related to your industry. That's how you do keyword research in today's world. If you're still struggling to figure out what keywords to go after or how to do keyword research in today's Google world, leave a comment below, and I'll help you out. Please subscribe, like, fan, share this video, tell other people about it. I would appreciate it.

Can you ACTUALLY get Google rankings without links? In this episode, Tim Soulo shows you a REAL case study of how Ahrefs ranked on Google, page 1, for a pretty competitive keyword phrase without link building. This proves that your website can rank high on Google even with zero backlinks, which is how websites like YouTube, Slideshare, and the Huffington Post are doing it all the time. The solution to link-free website rankings? A solid Domain Rating (DR). Domain Rating is the combined power of ALL backlinks that link to ALL of the pages of your website. This video explains Ahrefs’ Domain Rating metric (with examples) and how a high DR can help you rank in Google. The other video mentioned on how to rank for any keyword in Google can be watched here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVyU2KT3Dr0 For more information on Ahrefs’ Domain Rating metric, you can read this blog post with our latest update and how to use it: https://ahrefs.com/blog/domain-rating/ Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more great SEO tutorials. https://www.youtube.com/AhrefsCom?sub_confirmation=1 STAY TUNED: Ahrefs ► https://ahrefs.com/ YouTune channel ►https://www.youtube.com/AhrefsCom Facebook ►https://www.facebook.com/Ahrefs Twitter ►https://twitter.com/ahrefs Google+ ►https://plus.google.com/+AhrefsCom/posts

Steps To Rank In Google and How to Rank in Google The #1 Way To Rank In Google There are three simple steps to get your website to rank in Google. 1. Reach Out. Contact website owners in markets that are related to yours but are not direct competitors. Offer to write a high quality article for their site in return for only a link in the About the Author section. You can use the site's Contact Us form or the domain WHOIS information. 2. Outsource. If your time is limited, you can outsource the actual writing to someone else. Outsourcing also allows you to scale up your efforts and reach out to more website owners simultaneously. 3. Anchor Text. Make sure the anchor text of your link in the article contains the keywords you want to rank for. It's much better if your domain name contains the keywords because Google won't penalize you for "anchor text over-optimization". For example, if you want to rank for Blue Widgets your domain name could be BlueWidgets.com or even BestBlueWidgets.com (it doesn't have to be exact). 4. Repeat. You will likely need to contact a lot of site owners to get your first taker. As soon as you get one person to take you up on your offer, mention that site in your next outreach emails. The social proof of pointing to other articles you've written for other websites will greatly increase your future success rate. 5. Focus on Authority. Reach out only to the owners of sites that are already ranking in the top 100 results of Google for significant keywords. That market-focused authority will get passed to your site when you get the link. Since Google largely ranks sites based on their market-related authority, that's exactly what you want.

Power up your site in 2018 with our 147 backlinks: https://goo.gl/hhLpiW PDF: http://www.mytrafficresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/On-Page-Elements.pdf Hi, it is Eric Lancheres again. We are now on video 3 on How to Rank Your Website on Google in 2017 and in this video we will be looking at tweaking your on-page content with "Google Food" so Google can eat up all the information you provide it! But first, if you haven't seen video2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=As1Ngk7d4WA), I strongly recommend doing so now so that this video makes more sense. The three elements that we will be discussing on this video are: 1. The "Google food" elements that makes Google fall in love with your page 2. The page specifications that Google favours 3. Examples that you can model So we start off with the on-page elements that you should be applying to your page / article which Google just eats up. Simply follow the below instructions on how to format your page. - 1 Table of Content (pagination works too) - 1200-3000 Unique Words - 3-12 Original Images - 1 H1 Header (Title) - 4-12 Sub-Headlines (H2) - 4-12 Relevant Internal Links - 1-12 Relevant External Links - 1 Bullet List - Google Food Formula #1 (Sandwich) Table of Content: is best suited for long articles and the longer your article, the more chance of it ranking. Most websites on the first page of Google are somewhere between 1200-1800 words. This is where the table of content comes into play as it is effectively a list of your H1, H2, H3 etc headers which gives the reader a break down of what the article is about.... bonus: makes sure the table of content is internally linked to your article's headers 1200-3000 Unique Words: As mentioned, longer articles tend to rank better than short as they provide more information. On top of this, it is important to note that the article is related to your topic and is unique in words... meaning, NOT copied from elsewhere on the web. The text must be engaging, captivating to the audience and follow grammatical rules, such as few spelling and grammatical errors. Most importantly though, answering questions and presenting facts will help you rank. Original Images: Images break up the article from being a whole block of text (which Google hates). This breaking up of information makes your article more appealing to the audience, but more importantly, you want to have bespoke images and not stock or copied images as we want the reader to know we created the images JUST for this piece of content... also Google can tell if you copied images from elsewhere on the web. H1 Header: There should only be one H1 header which should include your main keyword. Do not make it keyword specific, but rather include it on the header and expand on it a little so that it is captivating for people to click on when it shows on the SERPs (Google's Index) Sub-Headlines (H2, H3 etc): These convey what the content is about which allow readers to scan your article and get an idea what it is about. As mentioned, the more sub-headlines you have the greater your table of content is. By including sub-headlines, this also breaks up your article from looking like block text, making it easier to manage while reading. The more related sub-headlines you add to your article, the more chance you have for ranking those sub-headlines on top of your main keyword. Be sure your sub-headlines are related to the main topic of the article though. Internal & External Links: Watch the rest of the video to find out more! row_number vs rank vs dense_rank in sql server dense_rank vs rank vs row_number sql server rank dense_rank row_number in sql server In this video we will discuss the similarities and difference between RANK, DENSE_RANK and ROW_NUMBER functions in SQL Server. Similarities between RANK, DENSE_RANK and ROW_NUMBER functions Returns an increasing integer value starting at 1 based on the ordering of rows imposed by the ORDER BY clause (if there are no ties) ORDER BY clause is required PARTITION BY clause is optional When the data is partitioned, the integer value is reset to 1 when the partition changes SQL Script to create the Employees table Create Table Employees ( Id int primary key, Name nvarchar(50), Gender nvarchar(10), Salary int ) Go Insert Into Employees Values (1, 'Mark', 'Male', 6000) Insert Into Employees Values (2, 'John', 'Male', 8000) Insert Into Employees Values (3, 'Pam', 'Female', 4000) Insert Into Employees Values (4, 'Sara', 'Female', 5000) Insert Into Employees Values (5, 'Todd', 'Male', 3000) Notice that no two employees in the table have the same salary. So all the 3 functions RANK, DENSE_RANK and ROW_NUMBER produce the same increasing integer value when ordered by Salary column. SELECT Name, Salary, Gender, ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS RowNumber, RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS [Rank], DENSE_RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS DenseRank FROM Employees You will only see the difference when there ties. Now let's include duplicate values for Salary column. To do this First delete existing data from the Employees table DELETE FROM Employees Insert new rows with duplicate valuse for Salary column Insert Into Employees Values (1, 'Mark', 'Male', 8000) Insert Into Employees Values (2, 'John', 'Male', 8000) Insert Into Employees Values (3, 'Pam', 'Female', 8000) Insert Into Employees Values (4, 'Sara', 'Female', 4000) Insert Into Employees Values (5, 'Todd', 'Male', 3500) Notice 3 employees have the same salary 8000. When you execute the following query you can clearly see the difference between RANK, DENSE_RANK and ROW_NUMBER functions. SELECT Name, Salary, Gender, ROW_NUMBER() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS RowNumber, RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS [Rank], DENSE_RANK() OVER (ORDER BY Salary DESC) AS DenseRank FROM Employees Difference between RANK, DENSE_RANK and ROW_NUMBER functions ROW_NUMBER : Returns an increasing unique number for each row starting at 1, even if there are duplicates. RANK : Returns an increasing unique number for each row starting at 1. When there are duplicates, same rank is assigned to all the duplicate rows, but the next row after the duplicate rows will have the rank it would have been assigned if there had been no duplicates. So RANK function skips rankings if there are duplicates. DENSE_RANK : Returns an increasing unique number for each row starting at 1. When there are duplicates, same rank is assigned to all the duplicate rows but the DENSE_RANK function will not skip any ranks. This means the next row after the duplicate rows will have the next rank in the sequence. Full Title: A Table! Improving Temporal Navigation in Soccer Ranking Tables Authors: Charles Perin, Romain Vuillemot, Jean-Daniel Fekete Abstract: This article introduces A Table!, an enhanced soccer ranking table providing temporal navigation by combining two novel interaction techniques. Ranking tables order soccer teams represented as rows, according to values of columns containing attributes e.g., accumulated points, or number of scored goals. Because they represent a snapshot of a championship at a time t, tables are regularly updated with new results. Such updates usually change the rows order, which makes the tracking of a specified team over time difficult. We observed that the tables available on the web do not support tracking such changes very well, are generally hard to read, and lack interactions. This contrasts with the extensive use of comments on temporal trends found in soccer analysts articles. To better support such analyzes, the two interactive techniques presented allow exploration of time, and are designed to preserve users' flow: DRAG-CELL is based on direct manipulation of values to browse ranks; VIZ-RANK uses a transient line chart of team ranks to visually explore a championship. An on-line evaluation with 143 participants shows that each technique efficiently supports a set of important temporal tasks not supported by current ranking tables. This paves the way for introducing efficient advanced visual exploration techniques to millions of soccer enthusiasts who use tables everyday. DOI:http://doi.acm.org/10.1145/2556288.2557379

Since their army is so large and powerful, you would assume that soldiers would be the best treated citizens in the hermit kingdom. Yet most North Korean soldiers seem to be worse off than the average civilian. Unless you're a high-ranking officer, good luck surviving off of your measly food rations. And even high-ranking officers have their own set of worries—which mainly include not getting punished by the Great Leader. Read Full Article: http://www.spyderbytemedia.com/write-web-content-that-ranks-well-on-google/ Content is king when it comes to optimizing your website for Google search. But it’s one thing to write web content and another to write quality web content. 1. Writing for Google Means Writing for People People don’t want to read copy that reeks of SEO. Even Google doesn’t consider over optimized content valuable. Use keywords but position them naturally throughout your copy. 2. Use Keyword Variations This reinforces that you are writing about a particular topic. 3. Avoid Posting Thin Content Google does not perceive thin content as valuable. An example of thin content would be a blog post with very little text. 4. Write Content that Promotes Sharing Topics that trigger emotions are likely to be shared. Content that makes people laugh or controversial topics can trigger emotions. 5. Answer Frequently Asked Questions in Your Industry If clients are asking you questions, chances are that people are typing these questions in Google. This also allows you to target long tail key phrases which are less competitive than short keywords.
