Android Bangle Tutorial How to used color in android studio 2019

05:38
Today I will Show You How Using Color In Android Studio 2019. From the previous lesson, we know how to display text on the Android device’s screens both using XML layout files and Java code. Now it’s time to format that text. We start with font and background colors, but beside a standard text color, there are also other options, like links, highlight and hint colors. Moreover, we would check current colors. Colors in Android are defined in RGB format Android studio 2019. Colors defined by the user could be stored in the colors.xml resource file. Read our Everything about colors in Android appendix to understand how to define colors. In this lesson we just focus on using colors, not defining them. Link: http://gestyy.com/wVHvEx
Android Color State List Resource

03:26
The ColorStateList is a class. Each object instantiated from this class represents the various color states of a specific view. Each object instantiated from this class actually maps the possible states of a specific View object with specific colors. Using a plain simple XML document we can indirectly instantiate this class and get an object we can later applies to specific view.

Mastering Android Drawables

46:33
Over the past few years, the quality of apps in the Google Play Store has increased substantially. Developers are taking Android UI seriously and producing beautiful apps made of tons of graphics resources (Bitmaps, 9-patches, shapes, etc.) every day. To avoid developers the pain of handling all types of resources, the Android framework provides the Drawable abstraction. In this session we will deep dive into the android.graphics.drawable package and how the framework uses it internally to render scalable and responsive UIs. The Drawable notion is essential to the creation of UIs on Android but developers usually only scratch the surface of it. The class will help you to understand how framework-provided and custom Drawables can be used to make both your code cleaner and your app better, smoother and more polished. How to Use Custom Fonts as Resources in Android Studio (Incl Toolbar)

16:54
In this tutorial, we will learn how to add custom fonts as resources into our Android Studio project. Unlike downloadable fonts, these local fonts are bundled with the APK and always available offline. We will also learn how we can bundle multiple fonts together into one font-family XML file, where we can specify a fontStyle and fontWeight for each font file, and let the system apply it to a TextView automatically in accordance to its textStyle (italic or bold). By adding the fontFamily attribute to the AppTheme instead of a single TextView, we can apply a font application-wide, and by using it on a Toolbar theme, we can change the font of the Toolbar specifically. We can also change the font of a TextView dynamically in Java code, by creating a Typeface object with getResources().getFont() or the ResourcesCompat compatibility version, and applying this Typeface to a TextView with setTypeface. Custom fonts are backward compatible down to API level 16 over the AppCompat support library. On API 28 and higher, we can specify the font weight directly over the Typeface.create method or the textFontWeight XML attribute. Supported font resources are ttf and otf files. We can access the free Google Fonts library directly over the Android Studio Design Editor. How to Remove the ActionBar from Specific Activities (Or All Activities) - Android Studio Tutorial

05:49
In this video we will learn, how to remove the default ActionBar either from all activities within an application or only from single activities. This is necessary for example if you want to implement the more flexible Toolbar into your app. To remove the ActionBar from all activities, we can set the parent of the default AppTheme in the styles.xml file to "Theme.AppCompat.Light.NoActionBar" or "Theme.AppCompat.NoActionBar". If we want to remove the ActionBar only from specific activities, we can create a child theme with the AppTheme as it's parent, set windowActionBar to false and windowNoTitle to true and then apply this theme on an activity level by using the android:theme attribute in the AndroidManifest.xml file. String Resources - Beginning Android Development - Your First Kotlin Android App

05:18
In Android, you should avoid adding text directly and instead use string resources. In this video, you'll learn what that means. This course will be released entirely free on YouTube with a new video being released once per day. This course will be released entirely free on YouTube with a new video being released once per day. For more videos, check out raywenderlich.com --- About www.raywenderlich.com: raywenderlich.com is a website focused on developing high quality programming tutorials. Our goal is to take the coolest and most challenging topics and make them easy for everyone to learn – so we can all make amazing apps. We are also focused on developing a strong community. Our goal is to help each other reach our dreams through friendship and cooperation. As you can see below, a bunch of us have joined forces to make this happen: authors, editors, subject matter experts, app reviewers, and most importantly our amazing readers! --- Kotlin is a statically typed programming language that runs on the Java virtual machine and also can be compiled to JavaScript source code or use the LLVM compiler infrastructure. Its primary development is from a team of JetBrains programmers based in Saint Petersburg, Russia.[2] While the syntax is not compatible with Java, Kotlin is designed to interoperate with Java code and is reliant on Java code from the existing Java Class Library, such as the collections framework. Kotlin uses aggressive type inference to determine the type of values and expressions for which type has been left unstated. This reduces language verbosity relative to Java, which demands often entirely redundant type specifications. As of Android Studio 3.0 (October 2017) Kotlin is a fully supported programming language by Google on the Android Operating System[3], and is directly included in the Android Studio 3.0 IDE package as an alternative to the standard Java compiler. The Android Kotlin compiler lets the user choose between targeting Java 6- or Java 8-compatible bytecode. Philosophy Development lead Andrey Breslav has said that Kotlin is designed to be an industrial-strength object-oriented language, and a "better language" than Java, but still be fully interoperable with Java code, allowing companies to make a gradual migration from Java to Kotlin. Semicolons are optional as a statement terminator; in most cases a newline is sufficient for the compiler to deduce that the statement has ended. Kotlin variable declarations and parameter lists have the data type come after the variable name (and with a colon separator), similar to Pascal. Variables in Kotlin can be immutable, declared with the val keyword or mutable, declared with the var keyword. Class members are public by default, and the classes themselves are sealed by default meaning that creating a derive class is disabled without requiring explicit keywords in the base class to enable it. In addition to the classes and methods (called member functions in Kotlin) of object-oriented programming, Kotlin also supports procedural programming with the use of functions.
