Lesson 4 - Introduction to technical analysis

09:40
Price patterns A chart for a currency pair will begin to form predictable patterns during trends. A pattern usually forms when a pair is in the process of changing: slowing down, reversing trend, etc. When that happens, it's a signal to take a step back and evaluate what may happen. Proper understanding of price patterns on a chart will help you better determine the probability of the currency pair continuing the trend it was in, or reversing to develop a new trend. This helps you determine whether to buy, sell or hold. Price patterns are an underutilized and extremely valuable tool in your forex trading arsenal. It may take a little while to get comfortable dealing with the subtle nuances and occasional ambiguity that are a part of price pattern analysis, but once you get the basics figured out, you will be able to confidently make informed trading decisions. It's also important to understand that price patterns are visual representations of market psychology. They tell you when traders in the market are excited and moving, when they need to take a moment and catch their breath and regroup and when they are ready to get moving again. All price patterns are made of the following four pieces: Old trend: the trend that the currency pair is in as it starts to form the price pattern Consolidation zone: a constrained area where the pair isn't clearly continuing the trend or forming a new one Breakout point: the point which the currency pair breaks the consolidation zone New trend: the trend the currency pair enters coming out of the consolidation zone

Sentence lesson 2 in English | Analysis of Sentences | English grammar tutorial

11:57
There are four types of sentence structures with a view to analysis: 1) Simple Sentence 2) Compound Sentence 3) Complex Sentence 4) Compound complex Sentence A sentence can consist of a single clause or several clause.A sentence must contain at least one independent clause. 1) Simple Sentence: A simple sentence is one one which has only one subject and one predicate or we can say it has only one principal clause. As- a) An honest man is loved by all. b) The children are happy. 2) Compound Sentence:A compound sentence is made up of two or more principal clauses(independent clause). Two or more than two principal clauses are joined by co-coordinating conjunctions in the sentence;as- a) The children are happy but they want to eat ice-cream. b) The moon rose and everything looked bright. Out of the examples given above, in example no.(1)-’the children are happy’ and ‘they want to eat ice-cream’ are principal clauses. Both are joined by coordinating conjunction-’but’.Each principal clause has a subject and a predicate. Therefore, this is a compound sentence. How to identify Compound Sentences If two or more than two clauses are joined by coordinating conjunctions such as- and, as well as, but, for, nevertheless, so, still, yet, whereas, either…or, neither……..nor, not only…….but also, while, both…...and etc in a sentence, that sentence is compound sentence. 3) Complex Sentence: A complex sentence consist of one principal clause and one or more than one subordinate clauses(dependent clause). One principal clause and one or more than one subordinating clauses are joined together by subordinating conjunctions in the sentence; as- a)I have two nephews who are engineers. b) As we tried to enter the Inn, the Innkeeper said that there was no room. Out of the examples given above,in example no.(1)’I have two nephews’ is principal clause and ‘ who are engineers’ is subordinate clause which are joined by subordinating conjunction ‘who’. In example no.(2)’As we tried to enter the Inn’ is a subordinate clause because its meaning itself is not clear and ‘ that there was no room’ is also subordinate clause. Both subordinate clauses are dependent on the principal clause-’The Innkeeper said’ for their meaning. One principal clause and two subordinate clauses are joined by subordinating conjunction ‘as’ and ‘that’. How to identify Complex Sentence If two or more than two clauses are joined by subordinating conjunctions such as- as, as if, as though, as that, as long as, as much as, as soon as, as than, although, though, as far as, before , because, if, whether, who ,whom ,whose, which, what, when, how, where, till, until, unless. Etc, that sentence is complex sentence. 4) Compound Complex Sentence(Mixed sentence):This type of sentence is consist of at least two principal clauses and one subordinate clause. As- a) He went to market and brought a costly wrist watch that was stolen a few weeks later. In the above example ‘he went to market’ and ‘(he)brought a costly wrist watch’ are principal clauses. Both are joined by coordinating conjunction-’and’ and ‘that was stolen a few weeks later’ is a subordinating clause. Practice Find out the sentence type on the basis of its structure- 1) The teacher is teaching while the students are playing. 2) Home Minister is coming to visit today. 3) Rohan cried when his bit him,but he soon got better. 4) Meena was resting when the Mohan came. Once you learn it you can use it for your life time. Enjoy the lessons. If you find this video helpful for learning Analysis of sentence then please share it with friends. Drawabox Lesson 2, Exercise 3: Texture Analysis

21:05
Sorry- I had to reupload this. There was a problem with the previous edit that made the audio go really quiet after 11 minutes. Should be fixed in this one, though you'll notice a slight change in the audio around that time. This exercise focuses on observing a reference image, identifying all of the visual elements present in its texture and how they're arranged along the surface, then using that information to create a standalone gradient from dark to light. You can find the accompanying text lesson here: https://drawabox.com/lesson/2/texture... Jonathan Swift, Satire, and Gulliver's Travels Lesson

This lesson gives students background information on Jonathan Swift, a conceptual introduction to satire, and background knowledge on Gulliver's Travels, especially Part 4. It's a good lesson to use before "A Modest Proposal" too. Below is the outline of the slides used in the lesson: Jonathan Swift, Satire, and Gulliver's Travels Lesson Biography of Swift Satire—Definition and Examples Background of Gulliver's Travels Connections to the Project Jonathan Swift, 1667-1745 Born in Ireland of English, Anglican parents At a time when tensions between England and Ireland were high for political and religious reasons Conflicts with the English government over his family's politics after the English Civil War and over his writing Had a great sympathy for the Irish—became somewhat of a member of both cultures Became the Dean of St. Patrick's Cathedral in Dublin Satire A literary form (poetry, prose, or drama) that exaggerates tendencies to make people laugh as a form of protest Uses humor as a weapon A more enlightened form of sarcasm Can be subtle or blatant, and can be serious or silly Examples of Satire How Satire Works Literal Satire: looks, feels, seems just like realistic art, but little things are exaggerated to show how ridiculous they are Unrealistic Satire (like Gulliver's Travels): fantastic places and unrealistic settings serve as metaphors for the world we live in When people laugh, they are more relaxed and willing to engage with a speaker or artist When people see things that aren't them but who do the same things they do, they can look at those things more objectively Gulliver's Travels Travel narrative—Lemuel Gulliver goes to four places: Liliput—the land of the small people Brobdingnag—the land of the giants Laputa—the land of the "scientists" The Land of the Houyhnhnms—talking horses who have more reason than men Gulliver's Travels Liliput—Swift makes fun of people's pettiness; for example, two political parties fight furiously over which end of an egg should be cracked Brobdingnag—By encountering giant humans, Gulliver shows us just how disgusting people are Laputa—The scientists of Laputa are so busy with all of their imaginary learning that their wives go astray Gulliver's Travels The Land of the Houyhnhnms In comparison to humans, horses seem very wise, just, and reasonable—so much for the Enlightenment Gulliver comes to identify with the horses and not the Yahoos—a race of human-ish creatures that have all of humanity's worst qualities What is a human? What is an animal? Are humans all that great? Connection to the Project Swift shows us slavery, racism, and genocide, and he asks us questions about all of them He makes us question the Enlightenment and the very idea of civilization and who is civilized Like many Enlightenment thinkers, he realized that Europe needed to humble itself Lesson Completed—Good Job I have provided a read-along for this Be prepared to write about satirical episodes in the selections from the book that I have given you—like a metaphor, what's the tenor and what's the vehicle, and what's Swift's purpose for the satire?

Golf Lesson Analysis - Spinning Out Downswing (Fast Hips)

03:45
My Golf App: http://completegolfcoach.com/ Spinning Out - For anyone who has the fault of spinning their hips in the downswing in a effort to create speed. Watch the video for an analysis of the fault and a suggested drill. It can also help with, Hanging Back, Bad Weight Transfer and keeping the arms in front of your body. Transcript Good lesson here for golfer junior golfers. One of the most common faults of junior golfers is that they create, creating their speed, they create a very fast hip rotation and transition, that good when your a junior golfer to create some golf head speed, but eventually you need to learn to match up your body and your arms a little more to create some consistency. Using this pair as an example: you can see his first movement in this transition, which it should be, your hips should be going first, too much separation between the speed of the hips and the speed of the arms; the hips are almost, even though the arms are at the top of the back, hips are open to the target, weight is spinning back into the left heel, you can see that by the left toe coming off the grind. The arms get out away from the body, resulting in an open club face. You've got a lot of club faced rotation to catch up, he's got to use his hands very quickly through the ball to square the club face, creates speed but doesn't create much consistency. If you saw a current swing of this player just recently, you'll see that these aspects are improving a lot, but the tendency is still there. There's still a little too much difference between the speed of his hips to the speed of his arms, raise his arms slightly, even though it's better, there's still a tendency for the weight to be spinning back to the left heel, arms to get out away from the body, the club face get little bit open. So improving but still some progress needed. If this is you this is a good drill and I am taking you through from the start. What I what you to do is line up the golf ball with your left toe taking a slightly narrower stance than normal, and we are going to do two things. After we've made our normal backswing we going to step to the side, this will help the weight shift to the left foot. And number two, we are going to step forward, hips to the side and forward. This helps to stabilize the hips and allows the arms to come down, and matching the arms with the body. So now the arms can come down more on plane, closer to the body, club face stays square. So simply can square the club face with the impact with the body rotation rather than the hands and arms having to catch up and rotate the club face quickly. A simple drill for any junior golfers out there, anybody who's struggling with the body, speed, too fast compared to the arm speed, and it can also help with weight shift. Anybody's hanging back on their right foot. Maybe anybody is getting their arms stuck behind their body because again their arms are too slow relative to their body. There's a simple drill for you to be trying in your next practice session and helping to match up your arms to the body.
