I wrote this Program Using MATLAB to detect simple image forgery (cloning) . The simplest way to clone an image is by copying a part from the original image & pasted on another place on the same original image , for example , if you have an image with one window , you can copy that window & pate it on the same image so you will get a new image with two windows. Right now , the program is working %100 for just copy & paste forged images , i will try to enhance the program by considering Rotated pasted part & considering some image noise . This is a factory test for 400V L.V panel , We started by conducting a megger (Insulation) test by applying 1KV between all shorted phases & ground for 1 minuet as per IEC standard. During the Hi-Pot test (5KV for 1 Second as per IEC standard) , the test failed 3 times , finally we found the the siren wires were not connected in a proper way and touching the panel directly . Face Recognition Using Neural Networks

In this project , I used Self-Organized Maps (SOM) neural networks (NN) for making a face recognition system. The program will take 5 different pictures for the same user using different facial expressions in order to use them in the NN training . The program will identify the face from the captured image & crop it using C++ program for this purpose (The C++ program compiled in MATLAB in the form of .dll file). Also , i used the .NET engine to give the program the ability to say the user name . Finally , I made the program in user friendly format (GUI) to give the user the ability to control the whole system without having any kind of knowledge in NN structure. Right now , MATLAB compiler can't convert this program into stand alone application (.exe) since MATLAB compiler can only deal with pre-trainned NN which make the program valid for the users only available in the database (NO new users can be added). Hoping in future versions of MATLAB this limitation will be removed & this application can be run freely (Deployed) on any machine without having MATLAB installed in it . One of the most important parts in the power systems is the underground cables , Underground cables can be laid in many ways like direct buried ,Through ducts , Through trenches or through tunnels , Each way in Laying has its own way for calculating the maximum current can pass through the cable (AMPACITY). I chose the most difficult way for Laing the cables (Through a tunnel) , The IEC standards discussed each case in detailed , but while I’m working my manager asked me a question : We have 12 medium voltage cables connecting the power transformer (4cables/phase) to the switchgear , Please calculate the maximum current that the cables system can handle in order to prove to the electricity authority that our design is correct??? Data Predictor Using Neural Networks

In this project , I built a program using neural networks in MATLAB for predicting the pollution in a lake near chemical plant in Saudi Arabia. I received the daily measured pollution for the last one & half year , Accordingly , I imported the daily measured data into MATLAB & converted the date using MATLAB to numbers . Second step was plotting the measured data in 2-D graph , I used Time-Series toolbox to plot the daily measurements against the pollution . Third step was making a neural network(NN) program to learn & adapt itself based on the pollution history in addition to its ability to be updated & trained again as per the new entered data while the mean squared error (mse) for the predicted data shall be less than %5 . Fourth & last step was using the already trained NN to predict the future pollution & based on the predicted data , we can judge how to operate the chemical plant. In this Video , We received a power transformer (50/76 MVA) from HYUNDAI (Korea) for one of our projects in Saudi Arabia (Jedah). In General , transformers are shipped into three types : 1- Completely filled with insulation oil. 2- Partially Filled with insulation oil. 3- Not filled with insulation oil . HYUNDAI sent the transformer in the third type (not filled with insulation oil) in order to reduce the shipment weight & accordingly paying less charges for freight & insurance . in this type of transformers shipment , the transformer body will be filled with DRY AIR or NITROGEN in order to keep the transformer pressure suitable for the ambient pressure so nothing will happen to the transformer body in addition to protect the internal coil from humidity . After checking the nitrogen system for the received transformer , we found that the transformer has a lot of leakage till it lost its internal contents of the nitrogen gas which means the nitrogen gas was replaced by ambient air . in such situation , the transformer erection process can't be started immediately , a few procedures should be done in order to remove internal humidity inside transformer's' coils . I will consider that the excel can not plot the data in its workspace (Every body know that excel program has many plotting features). so , the first program will be for plotting , the second program for holding the current figure and the third program for opening a new figure . The code listed below is used to make a plot in MATLAB program : function graph(x,y,z) if z==1 plot(x,y) end if z==2 bar(x,y) end if z==3 comet(x,y) end Save this program into MATLAB working directory as graph.m we can see that the above function has three parameters (x,y & z) , the first parameter (x) is the data that will be plotted at the x-axis , the second parameter (y) is the data that will be plotted at the y-axis , while the final parameter (z) is a selection of the plotting type . The three types of plotting are : 1-Linear Plotting . 2-Bar Plotting . 3-Comet Plotting (Animated Plotting) . You can choose which type of graphing do you want as you can see in the video demonstration .
